The following is left incomplete In - complete: - Tile work in the California room Tile work on the front entrance patios with pavers patio bench that needs to be redone because it was wrongly finished. fence painting Grass patches for side yard and back yard sprinkler system lights installation garden plants gazebo installation swing installation planter boxes 1 month of backyard and front yard maintenance After multiple negotiations since March 2022, we and Jaime signed the contract on 10/2 for work to be completed by 11/10. we discussed weekly goals and payments timelines too. We had an outdoor party we were hosting (11/17) and only agreed to his services because he was recommended by Angie as a pro with a valid license, honest and agreed that he will complete the job on time. We had to host 50 people inside our home and no one could go outside as there was dirt. It was so inconvenient! Payment plan: $5000, upon starting of work (cash) – paid. 10/7/23 $5000, 3 days after 1st payment (check) paid. $10,000 upon concrete complete (Check) paid - before concrete was even laid. extra $850 for concrete extension – paid (Zelle). $11,450 upon completion of all work (Zelle) - paid $4150 (Zelle) with work undone as he kept asking for more money to complete the job. Interactions: After concrete was done, he kept asking for more money without completing his job or sharing his plan for completion. He has been postponing and saying that he will do whenever he can do and dragging the completion till now. 3/8. Work is incomplete. We were never disrespectful to him and always believed that he will complete the Job like he mentioned. But now I see no end in sight. A 6-week job he signed up for and is now taking more than 18 weeks to do it. last 2 months he has deferred working due to the rains, and he did not complete his work in time when there was no rain during the actual 6 weeks, we expected the work to be completed. He messed up on the bench by giving a stucco finish to the bench instead of a smooth finish (December 10th), he still did not fix it till now. We always ask for a plan, and he says, "I will finish when I finish!", very rudely. We already paid more than what was planned and his behavior towards us was disrespectful. He breached the contract a long time ago, but we have been very patient with him all along and we have just waited and waited. During our negotiations, he mentioned that he had 20 years of experience, and he will do an exceptional job unlike many other contractors who cheat and take the owners money, do just half the job, and dont show up. He did the same thing with us, just like the other contractors he was talking about. Once he picked up the job, he kept complaining about taking up our job because he underestimated the work. We re-negotiated that the job requires more time and made it 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks for completing. We were also told that he has a team and its 3 of them working and he has all the tools he need to complete the project. 1st thing if he had 20 years of experience how can he estimate our project wrongly? But still we respected that- even though he had 6 months (since March 2022) and multiple visits to survey our backyard- contractors make mistakes and so we agreed to re-negotiate the contract (October 4th) and we did. He dug up the back yard and requested extension, at that point there was no choice but to go with him, we could not go back to other contractors at that point too. This was when we changed 3 weeks (original oct 20th completion) to 6 weeks (11/10 completion). 2nd thing, only 2 people came with zero power tools, they had no tools just a wheelbarrow and a small cement mixer. What kind of a licensed landscaping company does not have power tools to complete the job! These 2 men were doing everything by hand, no wonder they could not complete in time. There was no way! His 20 experience is now we felt was totally fake and he did not have the manpower to commit to the contract. He just wanted to get this big job, so we felt he faked his way into getting it. A whole packet was provided to him at the time of signing the contract through WhatsApp with drawings and plans, plant selections. We selected the tiles on October 14th he mentioned that they were on back order on the 18th of October, recently after asking multiple times he mentioned that we have not made the selection, so he did not order! We selected the Pavers on October 11th and he mentioned that they have been ordered but are sitting at the store. It’s been 5 months, no sight of pavers or tiles. He kept asking for more money to buy this and we paid $5000 before the whole project (our contract terms were to pay after everything was complete) was over so he can bring in the pavers and tiles to finish. We gave him $10,000 upfront (he requested cash payments) even before starting the project so he can procure the material he needed. We blindly just went with it, trusting him. He keeps saying he is being honest with us and we kept trusting him. He broke our trust, and we feel robbed and taken advantage of for being so patient with him. He turned out to be just like the other contractors who bail. I have 2 kids and they really want to spend time in the back yard, the backyard is unsafe for anyone now and has been like that for the past 6 months. They have been asking me and my husband when they can go outside. I don't have an answer for them. This is ridiculous, it’s our home and we are not able to enjoy it even after paying for it.

Jaime did a phenomenal job. The front yard and back yard look wonderful. The final design of the front yard was beyond my expectation. I likely have the prettiest and well manicured front yard in my development. The landscapers were prompt, efficient and nice guys to have around.

The team came in and removed all our grass and weeds. They prepared the area to put in some plants and then put down the rock. It turned out better than we thought. We are very happy with our new back yard.

I hired Jaime to put a 10'x12' concrete pad so I can move my existing shed on it. At the beginning, he was responsive and friendly. He was not the cheapest but I didn't want to hire someone without a license. On day one he came out to prep the area and put the form in place. His 2 helpers were fast and efficient. They picked up their trash when they finished for the day. After he left I double checked the measurements; width and length were correct. However, the diagonals were 1.5 inch out of square. Because my shed is squared, I needed the pad to be square. I let him know and he said he will fix it the day he pours the concrete. So I figured it would be an easy fix because he will just remove some of the stakes and tap one of the corners to square it up. On the day of the pour, a concrete worker came to square it up. But instead of adjusting the corners he removed 2 of the sides, measured and remeasured, adjusting and repositioned several times, which took more time than necessary. I asked him to do it the easier way by shifting just one of the corners, but he refused and asked if I want it done or not. I thought it was rude but I didn't want him to blame it on me if anything goes wrong so I him do it his way. When the concrete came, they can only fill 3/4 of the form, so Jaime drove to Home Depot to pick up some bags of concrete. But I guess the concrete worker told him not to because they didn't use them. He then drove out again to pick up some ready mix, all the while the poured concrete is drying in the hot sun. I asked if he ordered 1-1/2 yards required for my job and he said yes. But I later found out that he had only ordered 1 yard. The concrete worker asked if I want a control joint so I told him where to put it. I was instructed to wet it every 2 to 3 hours for the next few days. After few days, I noticed a long crack perpendicular to the control joint and some dry grass that was pressed into the concrete because the concrete worker didn't bothered to remove them when he was smoothing the top. I pointed these out to him and he said it's just grass so it's nothing. Really? That just sound shady with no accountability. He became combative about the crack because he said the concrete worker had told me to put another control joint, which never happened. Then he said there should be a control joint every 5 feet. I'm thinking he is just making things up so I told him to look at the drive ways, their joints are like 12 feet. I didn't want to get into an argument with him because I need to move my shed asap so I can redo my whole yard...something that I was thinking of hiring him to do in the beginning. However, based on the experience of this small job I don't think I will trust him with a large job.

I highly recommend Jaime and his team. They took on my back yard project (entire remodel) and knocked it out of the park! They ripped out 3 tree stumps, removed my river rock, laid new irrigation, installed a new sprinkler controller, laid new sod, laid turf, repaired my concrete that was lifted by tree roots, built a pergola. Jaime was very friendly, knowledgeable, hard working, and honest. He kept me updated every step of the way and I was never caught off guard. I look forward to working with Jaime again in the future!

Backyard – Deck extension, pavers, artificial grass, fenced area --- removing/flattening raised beds, levelling dirt areas Front yard – Flagstone, extend pavers, artificial grass --- removing gravel fields, levelling ground/preserving outlets, removing excess concrete and asphalt, removing landscape features (posts) Getting to the point, Daisy Landscaping transformed our front and back yards into beautiful useable spaces. Their quality of workmanship is A+, and their attention to detail is spot on. Their prices are competitive with others, but the value of what you get is extremely high compared to price. We had a 21’ x 14’ deck in our backyard that we wanted extended to 21’ x 33’ to our back wall. In the middle of the deck, we wanted a huge Mulberry tree preserved with a cutout in the deck. To the right of the deck, we wanted approximately 200’sq pavers installed. Jaime (owner/operator) examined the areas and asked specific questions where he foresaw there might be issues. We hadn’t considered the issues, so we were grateful that he brought them to our attention. In the front yard, we wanted a gravel area of approximately 1175’sq transformed into a useable flagstone field, trimmed with real grass between the stones. Again, Jaime asked specifics and told us where we might have problems (we have a septic outlet, a water outlet, and plumbing cleanouts in the field). He set our minds at ease that the project was doable with only a few modifications. He sent the bid for the backyard two days later, and the bid for the front yard two days after that. Compared to other contractors, he was slightly cheaper on the backyard, and slightly higher on the front yard. But Jaime had really thought about the projects and set our minds at ease. We chose him to tackle both projects. He started the backyard first. The backyard had raised beds that were bordered with octagonal pavers and cinder blocks. In each of the beds were groundcover plants and mature trees. To build over them, everything would have to be lowered and/or removed. As they started to take out blocks and other features, they noticed the Mulberry root system was more complicated than he had imagined. So, they literally had to re-plan how the posts would be configured and for the deck to keep its integrity. Their solution was to add MORE support near the tree, without altering the original configuration! It worked beautifully. As they were prepping for attaching the new deck to the old, there was a problem with the old deck being uneven compared to the perfectly level new deck. When the guys went in to adjust the levels, they showed us the vast rotting under our original deck. When I merely pressed on the wood it caused supports to splinter and crumble. Jaime suggested that we get the old deck replaced before it was not useable and gave it less than a year to deteriorate. We asked if he was available to currently repair the old deck and he was. Again, they laid out the new framework meticulously as they did the first, and the final result made everything look so great. As for the pavers, as they started to prep the area and having removed the raised beds, it became apparent that the back wall was warped inwards, and the shed opposite the wall was warped outwards. In other words, there was no way to square the pavers with the deck, the back wall, and the shed wall. So, Jaime made the base line off of a small fence that separated a small area from the rest of the yard, and laid the pavers along that line because the eye would naturally be drawn to that spot. The effect was incredible! The pavers just sort of ‘slide’ under the deck at an angle of about 15-20* and it creates this beautiful architectural effect that draws attention to the various angles around the paver area, while keeping the deck obviously parallel to the house. To me, this was the ultimate in problem-solving on the job. The job took longer than expected, but now I’m glad it did. The effect is totally worth it. Finally, artificial grass was installed in areas that were mostly dirt and weeds. It took time to level the areas, but the installation was relatively fast. The grass looks great, and of course, it doesn’t need to be watered or mowed. Best of all, it drains beautifully. The grass only comes in one width (15’?), but in any length you want. I would recommend that if you get artificial grass installed, keep the width in mind if you don’t want any seams. We took the seams and saved a whole lot of $. It still looks great. The front yard had a field of gravel that we wanted turned into flagstone. Under the gravel (is) a septic system. So, the job would entail excavation of the gravel and excess dirt, putting down a sand base and setting stones all around the outlets and cleanouts that go with the septic system. We also wanted grass between the stones. Jaime researched and said that it would take months for real grass to get established so that the stones would be less apt to shift. So, we agreed to artificial grass between the stones. After further figuring out that there would be multiple seams in the grass UNLESS we cut out areas for the flagstones, we decided to have a straight field of flagstones that had artificial grass in the front and the back of the flagstone area. I thought there were three outlets for the septic, but Jaime could only find one. His crew searched for three days for the mysterious second big outlet and third small outlet but with no luck. I knew that I saw the outlets when we moved in over two years ago and they were repairing the system. Jaime asked some other contractors what the problem might be, and they told him that when old systems are cleaned and replaced, they only use one outlet and seal all the others. So, I cost myself (his crew) three days of searching. But once we had established the situation, the stones got laid down in about 7 days, and the grass in about 3 days (We actually added more stone and grass work to the job as it progressed). The final project looks glorious! He even took a giant Bird of Paradise plant we had on the property, split it into two parts in oak wine barrels and placed them on the grass at the back of the flagstone area. It looks so classy I can’t even believe it! For landscaping projects, I will only use Daisy Landscaping in the future. Jaime and the crew are just a great bunch of guys. Jaime is honest to a fault, and there are no surprises in his work or the materials. Problems are well-thought out, discussed, and handled beautifully. But the best part is that the quality of the work is world class for the dollars spent. Reminder/Request: Please keep cold, fresh water on hand for any crew that does work on your property. Even temps in the low 90s can cause workers to become ill from heat stroke. Also, if possible, have a seating and resting area that is shaded for workers to escape the heat and direct sunlight for a few minutes as needed.

Great. His crew did an awesome job. We added another section while he was there and he gave us a quote and we accepted and then a few days later the material went up in price and he told us he would still do it at the original quote. We did pay him the extra but we didn't have to. Jaime is awesome. I am planning on hiring him to do my pool decking.

Everything went great. The work was done in a timely fashion and completed in a very professional manner. They cleaned everything up after and left my yard looking nice and neat. my sprinklers settings/timers were adjusted for me and I’ll even get the first mowing done for free. Excellent service.
