JR reset 3 ports and port forwarding on the Gateway so that I was able to have remote access to my security system cameras on my mobile phones. JR ran a line from my DVR in the dining room to my TV monitor in my bedroom using 75 feet of cable and connectors. JR checked to make sure everything was functioning as is was suppose to.

Jack gave us a very competitive price on what appears to be a high quality system. JR, the installer was a professional. He was friendly, thorough, quick and efficient. If he ran into any major hiccups he must have figured them out very quietly because we only heard from him a couple of times during the daylong process. This business seems to have a full schedule, so don't expect to get your stuff done overnight. I generally like to work with busy people - it is a good sign. I have other projects and plan to work with this team in the future. <br />

<p>Owner, Jack, visited and we discussed where to put the cameras and price. Jeff, the tech, arrived on the day of installation and installed the cameras, ran the wires in the attic and to the DVR. It took a couple of hours. He then set up the DVR to my router so I could not only view the cameras on a monitor but also on my phone and tablet at home and remote. The only problem has been keeping the remote connection active. Jeff has returned twice to set up my router. It is presently all working fine. He also had to repair a drilled hole in a wall.</p> <p>I just saw movement and looked over at the monitor and see that a spider is starting a web in front of the back camera.</p> <p>I am pleased with all their work and will use them in the future a my lake house.</p> t <br />

As our technician mentioned after the last visit to reset the unit, it is our experience that, when a router loses its settings for no apparent reason repeatedly, it is defective and only lasting the solution is to replace it. Perhaps it is still under warranty from the store or manufacturer you got it from? When you get a new unit, give me a call and I will get you a complimentary service call to reset the ports on the new unit. I know that has been as frustrating for you as it has for us."

We called to inquire about getting a cctv system for our home in February. Jack came out that week to assess our home and discuss the options with us. Once we made a decision they were able to set up the install without delay. Technicians were professional and courteous. The system works well and we are pleased. What really sets this company apart is the outstanding customer service. In the time we've had the system, I've had a couple of occasions to call with questions, including once when we had to reset the system due to our getting a new cable router and needed some help. In every instance, my calls were returned promptly and Jack worked with us to make sure we received the support we needed and that our system was operating properly. Highly recommend. <br />

I am very happy with the results. The installers asked questions to insure they were meeting my expectations. They were friendly and helpful in offering suggestions such as running the wiring high in my attic to protect from mice or squirrels. <br />

Steve with CCTV designed a multicamera security system for my home and surrounding areas and I am very pleased with the components he put together for my situation! My system is interfaced via HDMI with my television so a single remote click allows me to quickly go to security cam mode. The resolution of the system, both day and night provide a high comfort level and now I KNOW what/whom is at the door before answering it at night. The resolution of the system is second to none and allows quick access from multiple devices including televisions, computers, and even my Iphone, wherever I might be. The operational interface is very simple, and I especially like the Hikvision software which came with the DVR unit. From design to final "turn-on" and internet link, Steve from Dallas CCTV Security Cameras made this project possible and a great success and I'm happy to recommend Dallas CCTV to other Angies' list users! <br />

First, I spoke with Steve who promptly came out to provide the estimate I requested. After looking at the areas where I wanted camera coverage, he recommended a three-camera setup and discussed several options they had for me. After getting a couple of other estimates I wasn't impressed with, coupled by the stellar reviews on Angie's List, I decided to go with Dallas CCTV. I emailed Steve and gave him the green light, and noted I wanted a fourth camera so I could see who is at my front door. Jack called me personally just a day later saying they had a cancellation and they could come out for the installation the next day, and I agreed. The installers spent several hours here and when everything was hooked up, walked me through the basic operation of the DVR and Android app. After they had left, I looked at the installation which looked great with one exception. I contacted Jack about the concern I had, and he sent the installer back out this morning to re-do the installation of one camera. It now looks perfect. Overall I'm highly satisfied with Dallas CCTV Security Cameras and all of the employees I've interacted with. Very personable, professional, and good at what they do. I'm confident that if I have any problems or concerns about my system anytime in the future, I can call them and they will take good care of me. <br />

It was an awesome experience. Jack came out and looked at the house and then he and I worked out the details of exactly what I wanted from the system. Jack's prices are very fair and competitive and he only uses high quality products. He was able to schedule the installation very soon after we signed the contract. <br /> Jack's installers were on-time, very professional and paid great attention to detail. When they were done they cleaned up 100% of the mess and left my house exactly as they found it. There were a couple of places that required exposed wiring on the outside of my house and in both cases they did such a good job blending the wiring with the house you wont even notice it if you aren't specifically looking for it. <br /> After the install, during very cold weather, we had an issue with a couple of the cameras fogging the lenses. Jack came right out and replaced one camera and serviced the others to ensure they no longer fogged when the weather changed very suddenly. <br /> Jack is always super responsive and has GREAT customer service skills :) <br /> It has snow been three months since the initial installation and they system is working very well and meets all of our security needs. <br /> <br />

Met with Jack to walk around the house and discuss placement. Reviewed initial estimate for 4 cameras and a DVR. Jack's crew came out about a week later and took about a day to install equipment. Appreciated the installation team walking thru camera placement and other logistical items such as cable run placements, etc. After further discussions with crew it was determined that some parts of back of house wouldn't be covered adequately. So, I asked for an additional camera which required a upgrade to an 8 camera DVR. Jack priced these additional items and crew finished the day completing 4 camera solution. They came out about a week later and finished adding the additional camera and upgrading the DVR. <br />

I hired Jack and his company to install 8 CCTV cameras and system in my house. The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. Since the installation, I have had a couple issues that needed to be resolved with the system. Each time I contacted Jack, he promptly sent someone out to resolve the problem without charging me for the follow-up visits. I highly recommend this company and would do business with them in the future. They are a class act and known the product that they are selling and installing. <br />

We wanted an external camera monitoring system to compliment our internal monitored burglar alarm system already installed in our home. They were very technically knowledgeable, innovative with their solutions, and professional at all times. We could clearly see that customer service and integrity was a high priority with them. Our home was particularly challenging having two stories and seven different roof levels. We wanted no wiring on the outside of our home and continuous visual monitoring capability from our primary computer monitor and a wireless TV in another room. We also wanted visual monitoring capability on our I-Phones, and I-Pad from any location in the country. This was all accomplished to our satisfaction within the original bid price which was what we paid. <br /> They have checked with us several time times since the installation to ensure everything was working to our satisfaction. They even came out to make a few minor adjustments after the installation was completed at our request. It was completed in a timely manner to our satisfaction without charge. <br /> We would recommend them to anyone who wanted an external camera security system installed in their home or business. <br />

Excellent. Wish I had hired them to begin with and it would have saved me a lot of money. I had a friend install the 1st time, he is IT person at work and I thought he knew what he was doing; but, program to reply was hard and picture quality was poor. I called out CCTV and they assessed the situation. I choose to have it replaced with CCTV system and best decision I ever made. Their cable quality is excellent and picture resolution is fantastic. They adjusted all camera's to cover maximum are inside and out, and reviewed the use of the system with me. They also worked with me on location inside of the house for the system and very pleased with minimizing the space needed and maximizing the security of system. I highly recommend these guys. <br />

Jack Duffy called me shortly after submitting a contact request via Angie's List. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He crawled through my attic himself in order to provide me an accurate assessment of what he could or could not do for us. No pressure sales but I decided it was the best bang for my buck going with Dallas CCTV. Installation was originally scheduled for a Monday but at my request he moved it back to Friday and rushed the last of the equipment over for the technicians to install. I have a two story house and it was quite difficult to get some of the cables through the attic/walls so that everything could be centrally located in my media closet. Despite the trouble, they stuck with it (lots of time in the attic in the Texas heat) and were able to fish all of the cables through. I purchased a 500GB drive but received a free upgrade to 1TB on installation day. <br /> The system has been up and running for about 6 weeks and I am quite happy with it. My wife loves being able to see who is at the door from her iPhone/iPad and I like being able to see things around my shed outside whether or not I am home. The cameras have a nice daytime picture and looking pretty decent in night vision mode. For the price, I think they are a great deal. <br /> <br /> <br />

Overall, the experience was good. I had a few issues with the technicians coming to install the cameras. The original appointment was rescheduled because a job took longer than expected. Then, the technicians ran late on the reschedule appointment date. I talked with Jack and we were able to work everything out. He sent 2 technicians out to perform the install and set-up the DVR. <br /> I liked their professionalism and quick installation. I would use the service provider again. <br />

The installation looks great, the tech took a lot of time getting the cameras installed and set properly with my feedback, and I appreciate that. It was not a rushed job, which is a good thing. <br /> <br /> The only complaint I have with the whole experience is that the tech got tied up and could not make our original appointment (9:30am). I left work to meet the tech at our appointed time. I gave it a good 30-45 minutes, and when no one showed up, I called Jack and he explained the situation and that the tech failed to call me as instructed. I went ahead and went back to work, then I finally got a call from the tech, he apologized, and said he would be at my house at 1:30pm. he did show up on time the second time around. <br /> <br /> Overall I would (and already have) recommend Dallas CCTV.
