Daniel Parks Roofing & Gutters DC

Very soon after submitting my scope of work, I received a call from Tom who was eager to set up an appointment for a site visit. Because of an emergency, we had to reschedule the site visit, but that was not a problem. After the visit, I was emailed an estimate that was competitive and fair. Since I was ready to have the work done, Tom came to my house and we signed a contract and agreed to start the work within a day or so. As it turned out, Tom had a crew ready and willing to get the job done a day earlier. That worked well with my schedule and the crew showed up on time the day and proceeded with the work. I watched as the experienced crew of professionals went about their job in removing, crafting and replacing gutters and down spouts. Once the gutters were in place, the crew replaced my rotting rafter ends by precisely shaping the ends and fastening them in their respective places. I was impressed with the precision and the craftsmanship employed in getting this part of the job done. The crew went the extra mile by painting the raw wood with matching paint that I had around. The crew was also helpful in making suggestions and making adjustments to existing guttering that I had installed to lead water away from the house. Their insight and help was greatly appreciated. Also of note, the crew cleaned not only my immediate area, but the neighbor's porch roofs and porches that abut my home. Besides the gleaming new gutters and downspouts, there was no evidence work had just been performed. Ironically, I joked with Tom that now that I have new gutters, it would not rain ever again. It was almost 2 weeks later before any significant rain fell by my house so I could see the new gutters in action. I am happy to report, the new gutters are working as desired. Great job from Tom and his impressive crew. I highly recommend Daniel Parks for your gutters and roofing needs.

Excellent - Daniel Parks provided exceptional service. I strongly recommend them for all roofing and gutter work. Our roof looks the best on the whole street.

Terrible! He charged me what it would have cost to replace the total roof. He only replaced less than 1/10th of the shingles and damaged existing shingles. He left debri in the yard. He used shingles that did not match the existing shingles. He did not recommend we replace the total roof knowing that he could not match the existing shingles. When I informed him I was dissatisfied with the job, he said he would correct the work. He did not return to correct the the shoddy work. Buyer beware!

Very well. Family business and someone would check on job daily. Liked Mr Parks. Lots of sons. All pretty much part of the roofing business. Knowledgeable. Did whatever I asked but Still feel I paid more than other contractors, But, I didn't get more estimates. The work was well done. Good cleanup too.

The work went well. We waited several weeks for weather warm enough, but the contractor was very responsive during that time and we were glad to wait for the right conditions to get the job done well. The team was large and professional. The work went quickly. The supervisor reviewed all the questions that came up (inevitable with an old house) with us and kept us well-informed during the 4-day project. <br />

<p>The workmen arrived the next day after signing the contract.  They were very efficient, professional and polite.  They removed all the roofing and gutter materials and left the property in excellent condition.  The work was supervised and all work was inspected prior to workmen leaving the property. The quality of the work was excellent and very worth the price paid..  The materials are certified for 30 years.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I am extremely satisfied with Daniel Parks Home Improvement Contractor and am planning to use them for all my home repairs (inside and out).</p> <br />

It went exceptionally well. I was away, when the service was performed.  Because of rain, Mr. Tom Parks sent and email explaining that they would not come on the designated day, but on the next day, which they did. <br /> Mr. Parks sent before photos of the roof and after photos.  They were very clear and told the story.  During the next heavy rain storm, I  kept my fingers crossed.  The repair was successful and I had no more leaks. <br />  Mr. Parks assured me that if there were any problems, they would come out and do whatever they needed to make the necessary repairs.  Well, I thought that I had a leak in a different area of the roof. Mr. Parks sent out " his best worker" to take a look.  It turns out that the leak was not from the roof, but from an upstairs toilet, that was leaking through my ceiling. <br />    I must say that I am more that pleased with how professional, responsive, pleasant Daniel Parks Roofing is and how they keep their word regarding the quality of work and also their honoring their promise regarding standing behind the work they perfor. <br /> I recommend them, and have already to several people, with  great enthusiasm. <br />

They did a good job, very professional - so no issue on quality. <br /> I clearly ended up paying way more than the job was worth - clearly my own fault. I should have done a better job researching and would have arrived at this conclusion before agreeing to a price. <br /> They do good quality work but they truly are priced at the upper limits. <br /> So, if I needed a gutter installer I would call Parks again, but assuredly I would do my homework on what the job is worth. <br /> Also, they did not offer the regular Angies's list discount of 10% <br />

I would definitely use these guys again. It's a family company, and the brother came out to do the estimate, then the other brother and father did the work the next day. He didn't try to talk me into anything extra, but he explained where water might be coming in and suggested how they could fix things. When I told him that I wanted to do the bare minimum because I might be adding an addition so it wasn't worth a full re-roofing, he was quick to acknowledge that only doing certain things made sense. I came home the next day and everything was done, plus a few little things here and there that they had noticed needed to be shored up. I was quite pleased with the whole experience, which I haven't been able to say about home repair services much over the past few years. Highly recommend. <br />

There were two delays to the start of the job. <br /> Daniel and his crew showed up an the new date and they installed everything as planned. <br /> They did a professional and good job and left everything in good order <br /> With the benefit of hindsight I could have done a much better job negotiating - I do believe that I ended up paying quite a bit more than the job was worth. However, that clearly is my fault and not the contractor. <br /> I would recommend competitive shopping and having a clear idea of the cost of the materials involved.s <br />

they were very prompt and professional. was a bit put off that their credit care system wasnt working, but overall they were very good. <br />

Went extremely well, punctual, great workers, they explained the scope of work, and cleaned up as well. <br />
