Very bad response. A Rep. was sent out for an evaluation and agreed the floor was bad. A company was sent over to give an estimate for the project. He said he put in his bid for the job. After two weeks I called the contractor and he said he never heard back from Danley. I called Danley and they told me that the Rep. didn't work for them anymore. With that I have made many many calls to Danley only to be put off. This has been going on since August of 2018. I'm getting the run around from them and I am fed up.

They will not return calls or send someone out. When a person came out in Sept of 2018 he agreed that the concrete floor was done wrong. They sent a contractor out and said that they would epoxy the floor and sidewalk. They sent their bid in to Danley and I haven't heard a word since. When I call they always have some kind of excuse.

Terrible. The run around, excuses to why they couldn't get that "uncommon" color ordered in that plank size. Nothing uncommon about any of it other than their service. Was always transferred to a voicemail of someone who was always in a meeting. After a month and a half they managed to return my call, by then I hired someone else to fix it. This was a great company till management changed in 2016.

We signed a contract and paid a deposit in August 2017 - it is January 2018 and we still do not have a garage. We were advised that the project would be complete 6 weeks after permits were received - permits were received on October 2, 2017. Contract Signed: August 2017 Permits Received: October 2, 2017 (estimated completion time - November 13th) Old Garage Removed and Concrete Poured: Mid November 2017 Garage Built: REVISED projected completion of project is January 18th. We'll update next week. I wish I noted prior to selecting Danley's that there are no 'A' reviews since 2016.

Horribly. We are looking into taking legal action. The customer service is by far the worse. You have to constantly call them about everything every step of the way and if you are complaining, they never call you back. The contracts states that you pay after the garage is built, but before the electrician comes. The electrician only gave me 2 choices, 1. that the electric be put up above ground running through my yard at points where it is screwed onto my fence, or no electric at all. This was not explained to me prior. When I called to complain no one wants to call me back. Then when I finally get someone on the phone, they will not honor their contract. They won't even call me back for a resolution. This is after I paid them. Furthermore, the garage door was opening by itself and stuff was stolen from my garage, I needed to make a police report, and Danley's will take no responsibility for it. At this point we are taking legal action.

Before I start, DO NOT HIRE THEM, look at the competitors first. This is a company that uses subcontracts all of the work and the subcontractors are not professional at all and treat you as if they were doing you a favor by been there. Everything started going down hill after signing the contract. There is an extreme lack of communication on when construction would begin and even the different stages of construction.I would have to contact the project supervisor, Marty, many times, sometimes without response to only get a vague answer. Once the concrete was poured, a large crack appeared, I pointed it out to the workers and they told me to let them know if it got larger the next day after drying a bit, it did. I contact them and also Danley, the response from Pete at Danly was, "It is normal this happens, that's concrete", his response was very dismissive. I had to threaten to withhold payment unless it was fixed. The owner of the concrete company, Vince, called me and said they will fix it, which they did, but now it does not look as one piece, but one piece and patch. I got a call from Paul, the manager, and he assured me that this is not how they do business and he was very courteous and pleasant, also promised things will be rectified. Well, a couple of days the lumber got delivered for the framing (another subcontractor) and if I didn't come out to let the guy know that his truck would not fit in my driveway he would have tried to go on it and also my neighbors driveway. On his attempt to do this he broke a large flower pot and luckily that was the only damaged caused. The carpenters came and I spoke to them specifically telling them to please not drive on my neighbors driveway, they did. I captured them doing this on my security camera, and also left tire marks all over. I called Paul and Jeff, framing supervisor, and did not get a response when I told them what had happen. I thought Danley was a good company since, they seemed to have good reviews and their price is not the cheapest, but I was wrong. I am writing to let others know what to expect and think twice about doing business with them. There are plenty of other good companies that I wished I would have contracted.

I do not like the job that they did. He was supposed to come back out since the garage was leaking. They finally sent someone back out, but wanted more money to fix it. I called someone else out, and they showed me the mistakes. I believe this company charged me a lot for the work to begin with.
Response from Danley's Garage World

Concrete guys Easy Solutions were a nightmare. They charged me 1,200 extra when i only owed 350, stole lumber from a deck being built and used it for forms. Never came back to finish the stoop, back aprin, and to fix the honeycombing. Also never back filled the slab, leaving a ditch to flood. (See photo) Carpenters showed up 2 months later with wrong lumber, we upgraded to 2×8s and they put in 2×6s then had to replace. They misnailed all over the place, nails are sticking out EVERYWHERE. Back double doors are bent, garage doors, siding, and roof are fine so far. The final thing is the worst of all. I found a key to my service door hidden in the j channel above the door on the outside. How did that get there and why was it hid there. I can only guess. So in conclusion I'm guessing Danleys simply low balls all their subcontractors, so they don't care and will rip you off at every turn. They are all quantity and no quality. I'm sure Danleys uses different subcontractors for different areas so some may be better than others. Danleys themselves were terrible to deal with also. We had to constantly call and get on their case to get things moving. We picked up our own permit and delivered it to them because it was just sitting at our village hall. Upgrades that were paid for went unrecorded and never made it on materials list. In the end we got a garage but the whole experience was awful.

We purchased a new home that did not have a garage. We received several estimates to build a garage from the ground up, and Danley's Garage World impressed us most with their knowledge and responsiveness. Their estimate game out in the middle of three, and they were flexible and considerate of our needs. My husband, a contractor in his own right, was off during the time they built the garage and watched their work every step of the way. He was happy with the labor and the materials used. Our garage is exceedingly well made. The time from estimate to permit to foundation to construction was 7 weeks. That is amazing. One of the other two companies wasn't sure they were going to be able to complete the project in this season. Of course, with every big project there are minor hiccups along the way. I expected that. What I really appreciated that whenever I contacted our Danley Garage World representative, he responded within a few hours. In each and every instance, the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. We are really really happy with the outcome. Having done a great deal of research, we know the price was on target.

We called Danley's because we thought that we needed to replace our 40+ year old garage. When Dave came out, he told us that the basic structure of the garage was sound and that we needed siding, rails etc. He also suggested adding gutters which would drain water to the alley rather than to our often flooded yard We were surprised and happy that he didn't try to sell us a new garage. The job was completed in a timely, professional manner, and everything was cleaned up when they left.

The job was not easy because the space available for construction equipment was very tight, but the excavators, carpenters and electrician were very good and responsive. We are very pleased with the final result, and with overall quality and value of the work performed by Danley.

We had a wonderful experience with Danleys and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a new garage. Our job was large and custom, making it slightly more complex than the average garage build. From start (demo of old garage) to finish, it took about 2 months to complete the job - and this was in the middle of their busy season. Throughout the process, Paul and the rest of his team were communicative and available to address questions or concerns as they came up. Because of the size and scope of our project, a few minor issues popped up, which is to be expected during a large construction project; Danleys and their vendors immediately addressed each concern in a timely fashion and made sure each issue was resolved. The end product is stunning and we couldn't be happier!

We met with the representative from Danley's on August 16, 2015 and signed the contract on November 7th. He assured us his "team" would contact us soon. On December 21, 2015, a single non English speaking man showed up and started putting equipment on the front lawn. He did not bring any permits for building on the property - something that had been discussed during the initial visit as the town of Crestwood, Illinois is very strict on building permits. 5 hours of phone calls later, the "sales rep" showed up with the permit. The single worker started working on the house to remove the gutters and other things. At approximately 4:30 PM we noticed that he had left. He also left his tools including an expensive reciprocating saw and all of his ladders on the front lawn. Several more phone calls to the "sales rep" resulted in a comment, "Oh his stuff will be ok." Needless to say my wife and I locked it up until the following day. This pattern repeated itself several times. On one occasion he left the heavy saw up on flimsy scaffolds in our back yard where we again had to move it to prevent it from falling on our dog. Then with our front door blocked he disappeared leaving his stuff until after the Christmas Holiday. When the job was finished, there was no communication until the "Sales Rep," showed up to get the final payment. I took pictures with him, showed him the ill fitting joints and bad job including venting that wasn't done and aluminum caps put up over rotted wood. He claimed to be shocked and promised to come back out with his "team." The team never showed up and he sent me a crappy $200 refund on a $6000 dollar job and never returned another call. Six months later I got a call from Danley asking if I would recommend their service. When I stopped laughing they hung up. Despite a written contract, despite being there every time they asked, the communications stopped except for the one non-English speaking guy who did all the work. Very disappointed. If anyone wants I have copies of all documentation and dozens of pictures of the project in various stages. Went with Danley because of advertisements and reputation. Epic failure on my part.

The garage was built in February. We signed the contract in September and the garage was finished in March. It took 6 months and 1 day, and the actual building of the garage took 8 hours. I was surprised it took that long. The sales man said it would roughly take 60 days, but they don't commit to a finish date on their contract because everything is weather permitting. We had a beautiful fall, unusually high temperature, and as often as I called them, they said I was next on the list, and I would never recommend Danley Garage to anybody. The electric was completed in March. From the time I signed the contract to when I could pull in took 6 months and 1 day. They subcontract all the work out. They subcontract the concrete work out, they subcontract the electrical work out and the actual garage is built by Danley. I admit the material was fine, and it was a 3 man crew who were trained very well. Everybody knew what their job is because they literally had the garage built in less than 8 hours and I am talking about the wood, the siding, the roofing, everything was done. The problem I had with Danley, the companies that they sub out to, but you would think that Danley would manage all the companies that they subcontract, but they send you a letter and say here contact all these people. I would think I paid them to do that and not me. It took forever to get the concrete work done, and of course at that time, in February, when the garage was built, the electric company told me they can't run it from my house to the garage, because it has to be run underground and the ground is frozen. I had to wait until I could do that. I wasn't happy with them, I certainly wouldn't use them again and I wouldn't recommend them. I would like to give them a worse grade than C but the garage is well built. My anger comes from how long it took, and I had to deal with the subcontractors. It should have been done quicker, and it certainly should have been done better. The price was pretty compatible to the estimates that I got. They gave me a little break because another company had given me a lower bid. We had an independent contractor and he said that we were better off getting a company doing garages only, because any contractor would charge hourly. Danley has every measured and they just cut the pieces. The workmanship and the concrete was done well. The siding and shingle was quality and the woodwork was excellent. All that they kept telling me was that my name was on the list, I also drove out there, and they said everything was dependable on weather. Unless they had 150 garage ahead of me, it shouldn't have taken so long. When you speak to them, they are very understanding of your problems and situation, but they don't care. It is what it is, you signed the contract and made the down payment.
