Dan Sly's Tree & Landscaping, LLC

I called Dan on a Saturday, expecting a return call on Monday. He called back on Sunday and alos came out on Sunday to look at the project and offer a quote and on Wednesday, he and his crew completed the rather big job. No fuss no muss! I only had a few small branches to pick up, but his crew pretty much got it all and even came back 1 more time to do some final trimming that I wanted at no charge. Good guy and good service.

Dan and his crew did an amazing job and cleaned up after themselves too! They went above and beyond and we will recommend them to everyone that asks! They chipped up the small trees and cut the other trees into firewood AND STACKED IT FOR US! Thank you Angie's List for the referral.

Dan and his employees were very polite, considerate. They explained everything to me and the cost. They answered all my questions and gave advice but did not push you. They worked so well together it was like they read each others minds. They did excellent work and they cleaned up my yard great. I don't have to many trees left but I guarantee you if they need to come down Dan Sly will do it!

This was the smoothest and easiest contracted job I have ever had!! I would highly recommend them for any job... thank you for you all's amazing service..

Mr. Sly was fantastic. His review of our trees left us feeling confident that not only could he and his team complete the work, but that was considering the long-term care and health as well. The crew who came by were all friendly and fast moving (granted it was COLD!). There was a minor miscommunication about some services, but they not only performed the tasks they said they would but cleared out some dead brush as well. <br /> We fully intend on reaching out to Mr. Sly and team for some future work. <br />

Dan Sly sub-contracted the job, and these contractors were plagued with equipment failures to where they would start one day and have a piece of equipment fail and would stay a half day and show up two or three days later with another piece of equipment and that would fail by lunch, and this cycle went on for a couple of weeks.  Then Dan Sly would used his own people to finish the work, and they would end up getting their Bobcat tractor stuck and spent a couple of hours getting it out, then would pack up and tell me they can't come back until there is no rain for 6 weeks before they could get their equipment back in there without getting stuck.     Since this time, Dan Sly informed me that those gentlemen have since been fired for poor performance, that said, one of his reliable workers did come back and finish the job and was very respectful of my wishes and finished the job nicely.  My feeling is that if Dan Sly brought his own people in from the beginning, we may have not been fraught with these problems, and the lower rating are reflective of his sub-contractors performance and not  by Dan Sly.. <br />

Three men came to cut down a tree. They charged us $100.00. and left the tree for me to dispose of. <br />

Employees showed up on time, were professional and courteous, and did a great job in a reasonable amount of time; that job included hauling away the massive amount of debris from the tree trimming.  Will definitely use this provider again. <br />

This was the highest estimate I received, though not outrageously out of the range of the others.  Mr. Sly was the ONLY one who was not only willing to stop by and talk to me in person about the work that needed to be done, he also gave me a written estimate.  The others only stopped by without even letting me know (though I was home) and called me later- nothing written down.  That was most important because I have had some very bad experiences with others working here in the past. <br /> It was also important that the job done be a good one, and everyone else was going to leave a relatively visible stump of several inches despite one company's claims of grinding the stump.   However, that was NOT the case here.  The stump was ground down as completely as humanly possible (to the ground), leaving me with some very nice mulch in the bargain.  He did an EXCELLENT job there. <br /> Also, the mess was cleaned up so that I had nothing left to do.  They were very professional and I was EXTREMELY pleased with what they did. <br /> One of my friends was also astounded at  how well it was done, but as he pointed out, "you get what you pay for".  I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone.   <br />
