Dan's Plumbing

They do electrical and plumbing. I use an extra pump to pump hot water to the bathrooms upstairs faster. They did a good job.

We continued to have a leakage in our basement after Dan "fixed" it. I called him multiple times and he kept saying that he would come certain day and never did. This was two months ago and I finally called Fletcher Inspections (who refered me to him) to let them know that they were recommending the wrong person. Today, 5/20/13 was my last attempt to talk to him, I give up in trying to get the service I PAID for. Dan, that's not nice, you don't take people's money for nothing. <br />

I chose Dan's Plumbing because the business was close to my home, had good reviews, and supplied a $25.00 coupon.  I called Dan's Plumbing on Friday June 15, 2012.  Dan returned my call me on Father's Day, Sunday June 17.  I told him I thought my kitchen faucet needed to be replaced.  He advised me to purchase one before he arrived.  On June 21 Dan replaced my kitchen faucet, repaired my bathroom toilet, unclogged my bath tub and told me I needed to replace the tub divertor spout.  Dan purchased a new tub divertor spout for me and installed it the same day.  Dan is a Master Plumber i.e. knowledgeable in all phases of plumbing.  He loves to solve problems.  Since Dan is a courteous professional plumber with reasonable rates, I highly recommend him. <br /> <br /> <br />

We had recently purchased a new home, and it had some minor issues with the plumbing.  Dan was very friendly and professional, and took the time to explain exactly how the problems had likely arisen in the first place.  I have a number of friends who I have referred to Dan, since I had such a great experience. <br />

This was a project that was supposed to be coordinated with the counter top installation (which was done very well by Dexter Cabinets). In any event I sat around waiting for Dan to show up to install the fixtures after the countertop people had come and gone. No big deal i had planned it would take most of the day. But with every call to Dan asking when he was comming it got postpone later and later. When he did come he was alone. Dan got so many calls while he was installing my sinks that I think the time it took to do the job was longer than it should have been. His son finally came to help with two sinks to go ( I think it was because it was getting late in the day and they want to hurry up and get out). In any event the job was done and for the price quoted. I did want Dan to come back and fix one of the flanges on a sink. It wasn't leaking but it wasn't right. After 2-3 promises to show up and then cancelling Dan finally came but nothing appeared to be done. To much stress for me to be a repeat customer.

Very prompt and very professional.  They were apologetic that they didn't catch the float problem yesterday and did not charge me extra to install the pump. <br /> <br /> Boy, the second experience was totally different than the first. Dan promised to come out on Wednesday, so I worked from home.  Mid-day, he called to say he got busy on another job so we rescheduled for Thursday - at this time I am a bit grumpy, but things would have still worked out.  Then, on Thursday, he never showed up and never called. <br /> <br /> About a week later, I called him and asked him to call & let me know what happened - no return call. <br /> <br /> Very disappointing.  So, if he shows up, I think you will be happy, but... <br /> <br /> I can no longer recommend this plumber. <br />

<br />  Talked to Dan that morning.  His son came over a couple hours later to survey the project.  He left for the store to get parts, came back and has the job done within 1.5 hours.  Everything seems to be working fine.  I don't expect all jobs to go this quickly and cheaply, but this was a pleasant surprise.

Dan's son actually came out to do the replacement.  He was unfamiliar with the specific control I had, and was concerned that it would not do what I expected it would and would therefore be disappointed, so he checked with the manufacturer before installing it and found that it would do what I thought- namely control the water pressure to avoid scalding showers when a toilet was flushed.  I appreciated that he checked before doing all the work.  He also replace the shower arm and reattached the spray hose.  The job took about an hour and a half, the work was neat and reasonably clean (he offered to do more of the cleanup, but I opted to do the final cleanup rather than keeping him on the job for something I could finish).  He also advised how I could improve the connection to the shower spray hose and advised where to get the parts, but since wasn't leaking (it actually took two tries because the parts supplied by the manufacturer aren't quite what is needed) I'll leave it as is until there is an actual problem.

Our house keeper said one of our toilets was leaking.  i signed up for Angie's List and called a recommended plumber.  The problem was resolved within hours along with two other long-deferred plumbing issues.

Toilet is working fine and has been since Dan's visit.

Dan's guys showed up on time and ended up charging me exactly what they quoted. I looked on line and they charged me the lowest price I could find for parts. It only took them about an hour to do everything and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

The service went well.  It took a while for Dan to show up for the job.  He had made a commitment to show up at a time but he was a little late.  I was starting to get concerend about that.  However, once he showed up he turned the job arround pretty quickly.  He was very reasonable in terms of the estimates.  He was very flexible with what I was charged for the service.  We did have to call him back.  There was an issue and we needed his help to get it resolved.

It was fairly cheap. He is usually pretty busy but he was able to fit me in that afternoon, which I appreciated. It was pretty cool. I will absolutely use him again; I have a call in to him right now.

Dan, Chris and Jeff were great to work with.  Very professional and easy to talk to about our goals.  We bought a new house and it needed some updating and we were on a limited budget.  Dan was very easy to consult with and come up with a plan that would work for our budget and update the home.  We also had to install a second hot water heater because the home is so large.  We had 3 toilets replaced and upgraded, new sinks, hardware, some pipes and general plumbing updates.  We also had a custom vanity installed.  Dan was very helpful with suggestions of what to go with.  He was even nice enough to bring our dogs treats when he came to the house.  I would recommend him to anyone.  Also, came out a separate time when we had an emergency over Memorial Day Weekend, true customer service.

Dan came in and took apart the faucets and soaked them is an acid bath to dissolve the minerals that were causing the problem, then flushed the system and reassembled everything.

He is very easy to work with. He came out and had to job done quickly. I have always found that it is easy to get a hold of him and he usually gives me a good estimate of when he will be out. He is almost always out on time.
