The completed work was amazing! Communication could have been better. Other than that he worked very hard to complete our work on time and was very quick at getting to us for the estimate and getting started on our project.

On Oct.4.2022 I submitted a request to Angi and received your "highly rated pro" Piper Building and Construction,1098 Profile Road Franconia, NH (607)215.3735. On Oct *,2022 David Piper sent me an email for my 3 projects. We agreed to start with one bathroom for $7000. Mr. Piper received a $4000. check as a down payment on Nov 3rd and was to start the project the following week. On Nov 8th I received an email telling me his mother had a stroke and he was in New York State. His mother passed and he did not start until early Dec.2022. He first arrived on Sun Dec 4th to start the project. He removed all of the bathroom down to the studs, and then proceeded to tell me he had no money to finish the project. He stated he paid for his mother's funeral and needed an additional $2000 for materials, i gave him another check for the amount. He went on to continue the project, He never arrived when he stated he would, and the quality of his work got worse as the week went on. I have pictures of all of the items I am about to list if you would like to see them. 1. Wall in the adjoing bedroom was cit into stating he had to in order to connect plumbing, hed left th wall with 2 holes one appox 6"x6" the other appox. 18" x24". 2 He tried to hold down the shower walls with caulk . It lifted shortly after he left. (maybe this is why he told me not to use the bath for 3 days/.) 3 The shower drain and drain plug to not work properly. You have to use a seperate drain plug to hold water in for a bath, and the water drains out of the tub very slowly. 4 He used 1x3 firring strips as moulding around the shower stall. these strips are cracked in many places. 5 He left tile 6" from the wall and just filled it with grout and coved in with wood moulding. 6 He couldnot get floor moulding to fit so he just tried to to fill it with foam and caulking. All he had to do was cut 1/4" off the end of the moulding. 7 rather than fill a 1" x 10" with spakle and resand, he just stuck 2 pieces of furring strips in the hole. 8 Drilled holes in a brand new vanity and added a wide piece of moulding for no reason. 9 Popsicle sticks were hidden behind a board he had between two legs of the vanity. Considering he removed the vanity we had installed right beforebwe decided to do the remodel, we havenever understood why he didn't finish the tile undernthe vanity. We had purchased more than enough tile , instead he left tghe bright orange moisture barrier completely uncovered. When questioned about some of the items he had done he said I thought it would look better. Keep in mind this project was supposed to be a total of $7000, and all we would have to buy was the tile flooring. Everyday he needed more money when the agreement was half down the balance on completion. nWhen he said he could insulate th floor it would be another $500. etc. Everyday in the afternoon he would leave to run to the hardwareb store for something he needed and he returned with a glass of god knows what. Everyday he stated he needed money for a hotel and changed hotels several times. His woork seemed to be bothered by nproblems he was having with his girlfriend in Elmira NY. (This is where he lives not Franconia NH) The girlfriend call numerous times per day and by the end of the week he just wanted to leave.
