Daymakers Moving & Storage

Horribly. This was a nightmare move experience. We hired this company who agreed to provide us with 4 individuals on move day. They also knew they would need to move a piano. One reason we hired them is that we could get everything done in one move. On our move day, they showed up with 3 individuals and no piano moving straps. Things appeared to start out fine. About an hour in, my pregnant wife noticed one of the movers dragging her Peloton bike down the stairs. This is a bike that either of us could lift on our own. This particular mover was barely able to lift anything and moved at a snails pace throughout the day. He was eventually fired at around 4:30pm so we were down to two people. We still had not left the house we were moving from, which was a 1500 sq ft house and we do not have a lot of stuff, just to put this in perspective. The move was progressing so slowly that my pregnant wife moved everything out of our garage around to the front of the house where the truck was, which took her about an hour in hot weather. I had already left for the new house much earlier thinking they would have wrapped up at the old house by noon. When it came time to move the piano, they spent close to an hour discussing how to move it safely and ultimately damaged the piano in the process. They did not leave our old home until 5pm having started at 8am. When they arrived at our new home, they indicated that two additional men would be showing up to help, thank god, however those two people had already been working all day and were tired. At multiple points during this move, we discussed just firing them on the spot, but that would have put us in an equally difficult position of scrambling to find someone else with our house all packed up. They did not leave our house until 10:00pm that night. We were both delirious with exhaustion so didn't put up too much of a fight when paying the bill whereas normally we would have. They said they would only charge us for the number of people who were there, not the four we were promised. That seemed like basic business decency, a no-brainer. We decided to call the following day to hopefully get a break on the cost. They credited us $250. I think they should have credited us half the cost. This move should have taken 8 hours and instead spanned the entire day, 14 hours in total, with us both helping to move items. We discovered later that they had broken a part of our piano, which would have been obvious to them but was never mentioned. They glued it back together but of course you can see where it was cracked. They also damaged a baby gate in the process, which took them a month to repair and they returned it to us with parts missing. I know this company tried to do right by this nightmare of a move experience, but they did not do enough.

They were expensive but we thought it would be worth it to have our stuff taken care of. A couple of the movers worked hard and a couple moved slow and seemed disinterested. After the move we found a gouge in the wall and a chair that was broken due to something heavy being put on top of it.

We had a lot of things to move and the guys (can't remember if it was 3 or 4 of them) were very efficient and fast to the point of running around and getting things done! Since it's hourly, I can appreciate that consideration. A couple large pieces of furniture had scuff marks on it but all in all, I highly recommend them. In fact, my husband and I have to a couple families already.

We had two crews, one to finish packing and another to move us. Everyone was very professional and efficient. At the end of the day, only a minor dent in the wall was made. Given some of the large items being moved and their settling the damage repair, I was extremely happy and would hire them again.

Great from start to finish.

There was Damage Done to our hardwood floors. We had deep scratches from furniture being dragged. Also the moving van that was sent was too small for our Goods. The movers ended up taking the van full to our new home and unloading half. Two of the four movers went back to load the rest of the goods. The final price was almost double the initial quote. I would not use this company again

The guys were great! The price was not -- I wasn't told the price included from their location and back. It makes sense now, but they didn't state it when I booked. Also, the truck wasn't big enough, but they made a couple trips.

The two guys showed up on time and were very neat, clean, and very professional. They did an excellent job moving the furniture, and it only took them 30 minutes. Unfortunately there is a two hour minimum, which I was aware of when I hired them. I could not find anything else for them to move, but I definitely needed their "younger" backs and muscles, so it was worth it. I do wish they would offer something for shorter times. But as I said earlier, I would use them again.

They were professional, very careful with our furniture and our walls.

They were hard-working, professional, and friendly! I couldn't believe what quick work they made of the move, despite going up and down several flights of stairs over and over again! They were ~15 minutes behind the start time, but they called to let me know when they were leaving and it was a snowy morning. My only complaint is not with the service itself - when I spoke with the admin person on the phone, she quoted me the hourly rate for moving but did not tell me that I would be charged the ~1 hr drive from their warehouse, so this added more than $200 that I was not prepared for. Make sure you are aware of this when you book.

Our Daymakers crew was great. They worked fast and were extremely careful moving our items out of our old house and then into the new house. It was a cold, windy and snowy day. The crew remained courteous and upbeat throughout the whole day. I will definitely be recommending Daymakers to my friends and family. The price was fair for the amount of time and work that was needed. I rated them a B in this area only because the estimate was quite a bit lower than the actual cost. I was very happy with the service that Daymakers provided!!

Daymakers was readily available to help us with our move in short notice. All of the gentlemen who helped in our move were extremely polite and careful with all of our personal items. They even had our move completed in time for us to watch the game at our new house. I would and will recommend this service to anyone moving. Best service in town!

It couldn't have been any better.  Everything was awesome.  The workers were diligent, polite, and very hard working.  They were prompt and considerate.  Their prices were affordable and the service was impeccable.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic! Owner and two movers showed up at the time agreed upon. They moved fast! And we're VERY careful with my furniture and listened to my questions and comments. Super nice crew!

What impressed me most about the move was <br /> the punctuality.  I made the phone call <br /> and the movers were there the next day. At the loading, they were early, and <br /> the job was completed in about one hour. For the delivery, the goods <br /> were again placed in storage in about  one hour. They were absolutely fabulous to work with! The owner Sean developed a great relationship with us right away and was extremely responsive throughout the entire process. He was an extremely good advocate for us from start to finish. He helped us save over $700 in packing fees! Plus he and his crew were fast and very particular about how things should be packed and wrapped so that we didn't have any damage to our furniture. We can easily say that Daymakers's customer service and responsiveness is hands down the best in this business – or any business, for that matter! We highly recommend Daymaker's to family, friends and colleagues.

I have lived in my house for 46 years, so it's been a long time since I've moved. I've accumulated an awful lot of stuff, heavy gun safes, a piano,and curio cabinets. Daymakers came in and very professionally look around and said "We can do that" and that's exactly what they did. They moved it 4 hours a way to my new house. Its all safe. Nothing's broken! I cannot speak highly enough of Daymakers crew!!!

This is an impressive organization. They are extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful. They did a whole home move for us with a week of storage in between homes - which no one else in our area could match for price or timing. As with all moves, things can get broken, but they were fixed or replaced with no questions asked. I highly recommend Daymakers!
