DCS Pool Barriers LLC

DCS Pool Barriers replaced the metal fence around our pool about 8 years ago with galvanized fencing for which they gave a 20 year warranty against rust. They did a nice job on the fence, completely installing it in one day and left no mess behind, so I was pleased with the original installation. However, I was even more impressed with the way they honored their warranty. One of the posts rusted out even though galvanized. I contacted them to request that they provide a now pole which I figured I would just install myself, but they insisted that they replace the post themselves. Several days later a crew arrived and replaced the pole. No questions asked, at no charge. It was very refreshing to find a company which enthusiastically stands by its work and is happy to go beyond its customer's requests.

He showed up on time and was finished more quickly than I expected. They came back with no problem when the paint showed some very short term issues.

PERFECT! These people are total professionals. Arrived on time to look over our needs. The fellow gave us a couple of options and when we decided on the materials, shape and color his estimate was new day (e-mail, our preference). We gave them a go ahead and exactly on the promised day they were at our house first thing. The gate looks fantastic and the workmanship is superb.

They were the best price as bid.  Both the estimator and installation crew arrived on time, were pleasant and professional.  The y got to work and continued steadily for the 5 1/2 hour installation minus a 20 minute break at the midway point.  The fit and finish were excellent and they added "dog tabs" at the bottom of the gates to keep my large dogs from pushing through and damaging the gate.The material was good sturdy bar stock, the bar welds were smooth and even as were the onsite securing welds. <br> <br>A very special thanks to Art and his helper.  They were pleasant, professional and efficient.  I would hire DCS again and I strongly recommend them for your pool barrier needs. <br>

The date of service is approximate.  The initial contact was great.  The owner came out and showed a selection of fencing as well as photos of what the fencing looks like when installed.  We required some of the fencing installed on a small sloped area (approximately 6 feet), so the fence descends in segmented fence panels.  Not a real problem; just required some precise measuring.  For such a small fence the quote and cost was quite high.  <br /> Our problems came with scheduling, quality of the product and the length of time to get the entire project finished.  Our initial appointment was not kept by DCS.  When the office was contacted about being a no-show, there was no explanation as to why we weren't contacted about rescheduling.  We were only told that we didn't make it on the schedule, regardless of us having an appointment 4 weeks in advance because our "custom" fence panels were not ordered or made at their contractors.  Apparently, DCS uses another company to modify prefabricated metal panels, hence the requirement to purchase a full panel and the additional charge for any modification, ie, reducing the size by removing rods or shortening some to fit into tiered areas.  <br /> In approximately three months from our initial fence order, installation began.  The fence is nice but there were issues with racking in the large panels that are 8 feet from post to post.  Not good when you have young children that will grab the fence and rock it back and forth. And one of the footers for a post was installed in a brick and not into the concert patio.  Also the gate finish was horrible with paint drips and pitting every where.   When DCS was contacted a couple of times asking when the issues would be resolved, the owner finally came out to inspect the problems.  He agreed to install an additional support a no additional charge to the large panel to stop the racking issue.  He did order a new gate and would have his installers reinstall the footer into the patio as required by code.  <br /> Because the gate had to be ordered, it was about another 6 weeks before the gate was ready.  The installers came and completed the work, however the new gate had a terrible finish too.  Not as bad as the previous gate, but still, not a quality finish.  I contacted the DCS office and was told it would be another 6 weeks before another gate would be ready.  Needless to say, we had had enough with the delays.  We accepted the gate but we are by no means happy with the finish.  <br /> I can say, the installers were great.  They completed the work and had very good attitudes.  The only complaint with the installers is installing a footer into a brick when clearly against its against code to do so.  <br /> At this time, two years later, the gate paint has p***** in the areas where the initial finish was rough and pitted.  Also the mechanism on the sliding glass door broke four months ago, requiring a replacement; we used a different company. <br /> <br />

Have always been responsive throughout entire process. Arrived on agreed time ready to work. Started with tear down old fence. They worked with me on a couple special requests such as special cuts and preserving gate and posts from old fence for use in another area. The installers were meticulous with the installation, there were custom bends and alignments that I requested and they pulled it off without a hitch. Once the new fence was installed they cleaned up their work area and raked the stones around the posts back into position. Nice Job! <br />

Todd and his crew were very responsive and do a great job. Looks terrific! I really appreciate that Todd arrived on time to do the estimate and then the crew arrived and completed the work as promised/scheduled. Would recommend to anyone who needs reliable and professional work done on pool fencing.

DCS scheduled service call and they arrived on time. <br /> Showed the service person the 3 areas that I felt needed to be addressed regarding childproofing the pool. <br /> The service person looked at each point of entry and determined that the door to the patio was properly secured with existing double sided deadbolt. Did not recommend additional closer was necessary <br /> Gate and lock on wrought iron pool fence was operating properly and spring did not need adjusting. <br /> Two gates leading to back yard had proper locking devices and met city codes. <br /> Service person advised that he would not recommend any additional work that needed to be done, was as secure as it could be made for children. <br /> He did not charge for a service call and said to call again if I had any questions. <br /> <br /> <br />

The job went very well.  The workmen were a little late in arriving at the job site, but my husband waited for them--about the time he was ready to leave, they showed up.  Apparently they had to go get the material powder coated that morning before coming to the work site. Had my husband known they would be later than scheduled he would have had a second cup of coffee. <br /> They worked efficiently and did an excellent job.  Not only are we happy with the work, our tenant is  pleased that the fence looks nice, especially the color, and fills her needs with the children.  Shoulld we ever need a pool fence again we would certainly call this company. <br /> <br /> The general area the work was performed in is Northern Ave and 35th Ave in Phoenix. <br />

The overall experience was good. Theta was professional and we are happy with the final product.

They were ok. They were prompt and did what I asked them to do. It was just good.

I think they provided a good service. The only thing I that could be improved is communication.

They came for the estimate within the week we called. Our fence was put up within 2-3 weeks of our estimate. There was no pressure when they came in for the estimate, as far as feeling pressured to sign a contract or set a date for service. The fence was an all day process, but was installed in one day without any damage to our yard, etc.

Company was on time for the estimate as well as the project. They were clear about the cost and design of the project. The project took 1.5 days to complete as projected. There were no issues or problems during the installation. Cleanup after the job was completed was excellent. I would recommend them to my freinds.

Called them about a week ahead of time, they gave me a quote and told me up front they'd probably have to replace the rollers since it was an old door. The contractor showed up on time and recommended a couple other fixes to backyard gates/fencing which I declined for budget reasons. He did the job in about an hour with no problems. Afterwards he demonstrated the unit which appears to work very well so far; because of the age of the door he had to make a couple modifications which he also explained. The work came in exactly on budget and there were no surprises.
