"Dear [Member Name Removed], We are very sorry about your feelings toward our services and management, and we want to explain this situation to you further, starting from the beginning. Last fall (2016), our landscape department was contacted by your builder regarding planting numerous trees on a property he was developing. Since it was so late in the planting season, we informed your builder that it would be very difficult to grow the trees. Upon inquiring about an irrigation system in the area where the trees would be planted, we learned there was none, at which point we strongly recommend against planting them. Against our recommendation, your builder insisted we follow through with his quote to plant roughly 15 pine trees, at which point we informed him that there was no guarantee they would grow, and we would not be able to offer a warranty on them. He responded by informing us that when building your house, he had damaged the area where they would be planted, so he needed the trees to be installed as soon as possible, and he would not hold us responsible for whatever happened to them afterward. Once the trees were planted, we gave your builder specific and detailed instructions on how to provide the best environment for growth, which involved a strict watering schedule. We understand that you are frustrated by the situation since information was not relayed to you on how to grow the trees; however, we did provide all the necessary guidance, warnings, and instructions to our client, your builder."
