The Deckscape crew, end-to-end were outstanding. Mike was super responsive and was very transparent through the entire process.

Project went pretty well, but highly recommend you get all work to be done very clearly spelled out in writing for your exacting wants and expectations to avoid any confusions and possible issues. They will continually use the signed agreement to comply with what they do.

Deckscapes installed a new porch including EZVue vinyl windows, stacked stone fireplace, tiled floor and exterior Trex decking. The project looks great and we are very pleased with the craftsmanship of the project.

Deckscapes did a great job on our project and we are highly pleased. On top of giving high quality workmanship and using quality materials, we have been exceptionally happy with their warranty service and commitment to keep us happy now and for years to come! We recommend them!!

Everything went great and everyone at Deckscapes was easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely hire again in the future.

It was originally going to take 4-6 weeks to complete. We ended up changing a couple things after the start of construction, had weather delays, inspection delays, product delays so it took closer to 11 weeks to complete. Communication was great overall. We were kept informed. The end product looks amazing and we are completely satisfied. Great job and I highly recommend!

Deckscapes did wonderful job with our deck renovation. From start to finish Chip and Mike were very good at planning and completing the project.

FANTASTIC! Chip showed up when he said he would to quote the job and I received the estimate when he said I would. He was knowledgeable of my options (both for patio choice and screen/frame choice for porch screen. Working with Lisa (office manager) and Mike (project manager) [once the project was approved by the HOA] was great. They kept me updated throughout the process and when there were delays (weather, material out of stock), one or both emailed, called or texted. The job was completed on time and for the exact amount of the quote. We LOVE our patio.....and the only one who loves our screened-in-porch more than we do is our cat. We could not be happier. Best money we spent all year!

They did a real good job. They have good sub-contractors. excellent stone mason. The project manager did a great job. Communication was great.

It went really well.

Everything was always delivered and ready to go so there was no build delays and everyone was pleasant to work with. They were able to take out a window and replace it with French doors while others balked at the request. They even did a gabled roof when others would only do a shed type which I really did not want. Everything turned out perfectly and I have received a lot of compliments on how great it turned out. It looks even better than I had imagined!

The project due to the scope took approximately two months to complete. During the project I received routine updates. The only thing that did not go as planned was the window manufacturer miscounted the number of windows, which added a few weeks to the project. My family is very pleased with the end product.

I contacted Deckscapes and another provider based on Angie's List reviews. Both providers had similar pricing but I preferred the more detailed estimated that Deckscapes gave. I was given $500 Angies member discount when I asked. The first glitch was on my end when it took an inordinate amount of time for my HOA to approve the slight expansion of my deck. Deckscapes was very patient during this time and with no increase in pricing began my project within days of getting my HOA approval. The work proceeded quickly and basically most of the deck was done in about 3 days. I noticed one board had a significant scratch in it and in due time they came out and replaced it. As with any project, there will be some issues. They put the access door for the space under the deck on the wrong side of the deck but they did offer to switch it. The lighting is plugged into an existing outlet that I have on my deck. The initial person that came out to discuss the deck with me had assured me that the plug in for the lighting would be hidden under the deck. Unfortunately, this was not written into the proposal so I didn't feel I could argue that point. So I will have to eventually hire an electrician and get that taken care of as it is a bit of an eyesore. There was also an issue with getting the final permit as a handrail that is required by code was not installed. It took about a month for them to order and get this installed. Not a big deal and in the end I got the permit. There is no Trex lattice available and a wooden lattice was installed. If I had to change anything, I would have declined that lattice and gotten plastic lattice instead and had that installed. I don't like the wood due to termite attraction. The deck is absolutely gorgeous and we are very pleased with it. Pricing reflects 248 sq ft deck using Transcends Trex, aluminum balusters, and low voltage lighting with wooden lattice around the bottom.

Awesome. Came the same day. Did the job quickly.. Added and replaced sprinkler heads, repaired some leaks, and reset the Rain Bird control system.

My first contact was Chip. He came off as genuinely there to help, whether or not we used Deckscapes. He gave a lot of suggestions on how they might build the new structure - both pros and cons. Chip was not at all pushy or salesy. He remembered us when we called to ask follow-up questions. We booked them during their busy season, but even still they made every effort to finish construction before we had a baby and needed relative quiet. Chip did construction in a past life and knew exactly what we were looking at in terms of quality and effort. During construction we worked primarily with Mick. There was one crew that did all of the framing and decking, a crew that did the electrical, a crew that did the plumbing for a fireplace vent, a crew that did the painting, and a crew that did the vinyl work. Throughout the entire process, Mick was there to make sure ALL work was done up to Deckscapes standards. Looking at the work afterwards, there were a lot of small details that they didn't HAVE to do, but did. Every time we raised an issue with Mick, he was either already aware of it or was quickly on top of it. I have nothing but good things to say about these folks and would without hesitation use them in the future.

I was looking to replace my original deck. I contacted approx 5 different companies and decided to go with Deckscapes. Just so happened that I scheduled my free estimate on one of the coldest days of winter. Chip came out and discussed my project. Never once did he complain about the freezing cold and never called to cancel the appointment. He explained how the new deck would be built and showed me option available to me. <br /> <br />He emailed me the estimate in the time that he promised. However, due to the rain, my project didn't get started when scheduled but that was beyond anyone control. Deckscapes kept me updated on the delays. Once the weather allowed, they came out and replaced my deck. <br /> <br />I LOVE my new deck. I didn't realize how old my previous deck looked until I saw my new one. <br /> <br />I would recommend Deckscapes to anyone. They were very professional and completed the job as promised. <br />

We had no idea that the original plans given to us would be so beautiful and so professional built. All through the process, the carpenters and the contractor listened to our ideas, were friendly, and so professional. This company is so easy to work with and keep in touch every step with phone calls, emails, and personal visits. We are so very pleased with this company and we plan to enjoy our deck for many years to come. We have already recommended this company to other family members who live in Charlotte as well as our neighbors and friends. We also volunteered to allow other prospective customers of Deckscape to visit our property and see the beautiful work that this company has to offer. <br />

We received estimates from two different deck companies and were most impressed with Deckscapes.  We wanted a low-maintenance deck, so we went with the Trex Transcend composite product line.  A little more expensive, but worth it, since we don't want to have to stain the deck every few years.  Chip Thomas, our sales representative, was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable.  He was able to answer all our questions and also give us good advice on deck design and product colors.   <br /> We decided on a 16' x 16' deck with two sets of stairs........one leading to the driveway, and one opening up to our backyard.  We also had a 6' privacy wall installed to help with reducing the noise level from our AC unit, and to provide a little bit of privacy from our neighbors.  Individual lighting units were placed on the stairway posts, as well as the privacy wall post, which helps with navigating at night. <br /> A 2-man crew was able to complete the build, and another crew member came to install the lighting.  They started the project Thanksgiving week and, because of rain, took a little longer than expected.  John and his partner did a great job!  They were punctual, friendly, and always put in a full day and cleaned up after themselves. <br /> As with any larger scale project, we had a couple issues along the way, but everyone we dealt with at Deckscapes was very helpful and made it a priority to make sure we were happy.  When the lights were installed, we weren't happy with them at all.  The color we chose and the actual shape of the units weren't at all what we were hoping for.  Mick, the project manager, came out the next day to show us other options and replaced them within a few days, at no additional cost to us.  We also pointed out a few other minor things, like a crooked post and an overabundance of nail holes on the privacy wall.  The post was straightened and several of the boards on the privacy wall were totally replaced.  We were very impressed with their ability to hear our concerns and do what they had to to make it right. <br /> We would definitely recommend Deckscapes!  We are more than thrilled with our new deck and are looking forward to making new memories.  The rich, dark color of the floor boards, and the white railings, perfectly matches our front porch.  It looks like it was meant to be there all long.  In fact, we plan to have Deckscapes come out in the future to replace our front porch with the Trex product, so that we are totally maintenance free!   <br /> Thank you to everyone at Deckscapes who helped make our project a very pleasant experience!  Ya'll are awesome! <br />

I am extremely pleased with Deckscapes, both as far as the work they did, and their integrity as a company. From the secretary on the phone, to the construction workers, sub-contractors, sales rep, manager, and owner of the company, every person I dealt with was honest, helpful and respectful. That means a lot. I felt as though I could trust these people, and that I was in good hands. Their actions and professionalism on the job backed this up. <br /> The only hick-up was a bit of confusion about the start date of the project. Obviously, this is difficult to predict because of changing conditions on their prior jobs, ordering materials, and weather hold-ups. I imagine that most contractors would have the same issues. I later discovered that the secretary was a helpful and willing resource in helping me to know the latest on the schedule. She was very friendly and patient with my multiple questions. <br /> Once the projects began, I had their undivided attention. When I had a conflict, they adjusted their schedule. Everyone worked very hard to get the final phase of the work done before my expected company for Thanksgiving. The work did in fact, get done on time. My family raved about the multiple home improvements, and I agreed, that Deckscapes had done a wonderful job. <br />
