Terrible all the way around the board

Stay away from this company! We had so many issues with Ryan as a business owner and general contractor. He was beyond arrogant and rude and his quotes were incomplete, confusing and misleading. Initially, our thoughts were to have this company do a ton of work. Siding, paint and repairs. When we got the initial estimate and reviewed the dollars he was charging us, we took a deep breath and decided to break this project into 2 parts. We ended up hiring him to rescreen our deck, replace the deck stairs and front porch and resurface a pool deck. On the first quote, he said the screens were included. But then came back with an â  oops, sorry", no they werenâ  t. Ka-ching â ¦ $3000 more. WHAT?! I would like to point out that the subcontractor doing the work did an outstanding job. Quality was top notch. One line item for the deck was unnecessary and the subs didnâ  t do it. We notified Ryan immediately; took pictures and told him we would deduct it from the final payment. Then, he told us to stop talking to the subs. "That's my job". But, never once did he appear at our house to talk with anyone, including us. He claims to have come by a few times in the evening, but we have security cameras and would have known. Oops! The final invoice didn't show our deduction, so we asked for a revised invoice. Over a week later, we got an invoice with 2 NEW bogus line items. Againâ ¦..WHAT?! So our $900+ credit was offset by $800+ of fictitious charges, leaving us with a $91 credit. And, he wanted payment that same day. He takes a week to get back to us, but demands payment immediately. We decided to just pay him to be rid of him. Glad we broke the project into 2 parts. We will have another company do the siding and house painting! We expect him to have some crazy excuses as a response to this post. We arenâ  t stupid, heâ  s not the first GC we've worked with. And, as former business owners, we know how to treat and speak to customers.

Ryan has been great! He really helped us understand our proposed layout with 3D modeling and executed it flawlessly. His visualization tools really helped us understand what we were going to get before any construction took place. Highly recommended!
