My move was local but complicated in that it involved a total of 5 stops, back and forth between several houses and storage units. There was loading and unloading at each stop. I cannot say enough about the professional assistance I received from the office (Ashley and Heather) and the moving crew (Landon, Calvin and Michael). The crew appeared at 9:00 sharp and did not stop hustling until the job was done at 4:00. Everything was carefully wrapped and moved. No damages. These guys worked hard and fast. No dragging around. When they arrived at one of our houses before me, they had already unloaded half the load as far as the door by the time I got there. They had some suggestions regarding how to "navigate" the various stops that were different from my original plan and it made perfect sense and was a better way. The crew worked quickly with an eye on reducing my initial quote and further, recommended that I get a smaller storage unit that would cost less. Overall I was thrilled with the experience having had some nightmare moves elsewhere over the years. I would definitely move with them again.

I used DeVries to move from Port St. Lucie to Lake Worth. Ron was extremely professional doing the estimate and made me feel at ease about how my belongings would be packed and stored. Although there was one small hiccup on moving day (the destination was mistaken for the origin), Robert and Andrew were very friendly and exceptionally professional. They got straight to work and never stopped. I've seen other movers move at a snail's pace and goof off, but not these guys. They understood that their time is my money and they worked hard! I wasn't present when the final invoice was being tallied and there was an error made, but when I called the office, they not only corrected it, they OVER corrected it! I've always felt that the true measure of a company is not the mistakes it makes, but they way it corrects them. DeVries owned up to any errors that were made and not only corrected them, but compensated me. I was quoted for 5.5 hours and charged for 5.5 hours. I am extremely satisfied with DeVries and highly recommend them to anyone doing a local move. Thank you for your professionalism!!

The workers who were supposed to help the driver unload didn't show, therefore my husband and a maintenance man at the facility had to help.

An outstanding experience all around! DeVries employees arrived as scheduled and began working immediately to lift, open and unpack large, heavy boxes. Work progressed without interruption or breaks. My items were handled with care. Both men had a positive attitude and were very courteous In this day and age, it is a pleasure and often a rarity to work with a company that believes in and delivers excellent customer service.

The 3 men, Charles, Matt and Terrance did a great job of moving our heavy furniture. They were very careful to protect the furniture before moving it. They worked hard in the heat of the day. When unloading the furniture at the new house they put it where we wanted it. They set up the bed frame and mattresses. Thank you for a job well done!

As a military veteran I have moved all around the world and this is by far the best moving company I have had the pleasure of working with. The owner Ron came to my home and did a personal estimate himself, which made me and my wife very comfortable. The price of the move was very reasonable given the size of the home with 3 kids and a dog. Once the movers showed up they were punctual, well organized and motivated to work. The quality of work and service provided was A+ I will definitely call them again or refer them to a friend or family.

Terrible experience!! We were charged $1003.00 more than estimate. The owner himself wrote the estimate at an appointment in our home. The week of the move, we were told that they could not load and deliver on the same day. We did not receive our furniture for 48 hours. ( We were moving 2 miles ).Damaged piano, which took them 6 weeks to repair. We honestly tried to resolve this with the owner who could care less He offered to send a check for 150.00 and never even did that. Our 2 mile move cost $3374 and we did all the packing.

Unfortunately, sometimes our customers feel that they are completely packed and ready to be moved professionally when we arrive on the day of the move, this was not the case in your move. To do a job of your size professionally and correctly and in a safe manner we wound up spending an additional 5.5 hours packing your belongings which consisted of "fine art", pictures, mirrors, glass tops, as well as lamps and very fragile shades. So in order to make sure your goods were handled safely, we had to do that excess packing. The $150.00 that you mentioned was offered to repair your piano, which instead of paying you, we payed the repair company directly, as they serviced and repaired your piano to your liking and satisfaction. Also, a move of your size could not be completed in one day with the additional packing that we had to do (which we never anticipated) which was explained to you the day of your free "Estimate". Our goal here at DeVries Family Moving in Saint Lucie West is to do a "Perfect Move", not only protecting your belongings and making sure everything is moved correctly and efficiently, but to keep our customers happy as well. Note: I assisted a family member in their move from MN to FL by coordinating the move and packing up her house in FL. <br /> Took competitive quotes for services and Devries, while not the lowest quote was the most responsive to our specific needs of a delayed move from FL to MN. Ron Devries came out on schedule to provide a firm estimate for services. He was punctual, professional and courteous. All the costs were carefully and fully explained. Once we authorized the move, the movers came and loaded the household goods for local storage in FL pending the move to MN at a later date. That portion of the move went well. Customers can really help themselves save money by having everything packed and organized if possible the day of the move. The movers arrived on time the day of pick-up to storage. The crew was professional and courteous working at a fast but careful pace. One item (a glass table top) was broken but the rest of the move went well. There was no damage to the walls of the house and protective padding was used for all furniture. The storage phase of the project went well and when I was ready to finish the move, I called and had the charges put on a credit card. The price of the move from FL to MN was exactly as provided six months prior. The driver of the moving van contacted the family in MN and the move of items into the new house went well with no damage or other losses. <br /> If we move to another home in the Vero Beach area or relocate. We will definitely consider DeVries for our move. <br /> Well done! <br />

Very professional, friendly and efficient. It was a fairly small job and, while it only took an hour to complete, their policy is a 3 hour minimum. Understandable, since a business cannot afford to drive to location and back for only an hour's pay, and they made me aware of this policy before I even booked the job. I agreed to that policy. Most movers have a similar policy. What i do not understand is why the actual laborers and drivers only get paid for the one hour instead of the three I was charged for. After all, I only tipped them for an hour's work, but that is a matter to be resolved between labor and management, if they choose to, and does not affect my satisfaction with the company. Just showing solidarity with my fellow laborers :). <br /> For this small job, DeVries still came in 25% less than other estimates. YMMV. <br />

The actual move went very well. Three guys and a truck were provided as well as all of the furniture protection needed. They showed up on time, worked very hard the entire time they were there, and were very friendly and professional. I had some antique pieces that required extra care, and they extended that care. My C grade for punctuality was for Ron, the owner, who came out to quote my move. We had a 9:00 appointment, and he called me at 8:50 to say he was on his way. At 9:30 he showed up. He quickly made an assessment of the boxes that were already packed, the furniture that needed to be moved, and considered the flight of stairs. He did indicate that he was giving me an ESTIMATE of the time needed and informed me of the cost for additional time. After reading other reviews about the quote not being quite right about the time, I mentally made a note to add two extra hours "just in case." The two extra hours for which I had mentally prepared were indeed needed, so I wasn't shocked with the final bill, which was higher than the quote. On a positive note, Ron was very accommodating with scheduling my move within a few days of the quote. I'm not planning to move again for a very long time, but knowing what I know now, I'd use Devries again. <br />

Flawless! Timely, professional, friendly, efficient crew. They bubble wrapped my off white sofa and used furniture pads on all the other furniture. The sofa, a credenza and a media center with glass doors that the previous movers had difficulty handling, were handled very carefully and professionally by the DeVries moving crew. Nice truck and equipment. I highly recommend them and would definitely use their services again. <br />

<strong>Wow?just a great experience!</strong> <br /> After months of waiting for the right offer, we suddenly sold our house with the requirement that we move out in 12 days?before our new house was ready?so our orderly move turned into a mad dash. We had made earlier arrangements with DeVries to do a simple move from the old house to the new plus a few pieces going interstate to Maryland. This revised move suddenly required a ton of packing, moving everything to storage, the interstate piece plus another local stop. <br /> We started with a simple call asking if they could handle this on our schedule and their response was simply, ?Sure, we can do it!? Five days later, the packers show up to pack it all and pick up the interstate pieces. The packers were Dylan and Justin and they did a fine job especially since the load was so much more than we originally anticipated. <br /> Day next was moving day and our crew of Levi, Steph and Tommy showed up. They were excellent too especially since the temperature hovered in the mid-90s all day long. They wrapped and crated some very delicate items and loaded up the truck including the pieces for local delivery. The only hitch we had was that they ran out of truck?but this was our fault since we dynamically changed the moving plan and included things not originally anticipated. They were so calm, it was scary. Nothing was a problem. <br /> So they delivered 6 pieces at a local stop and then went to the warehouse for storage. Now, our plans included another visit back the next morning to pick up what remained. Once again, not a problem?they came, they loaded and they left?leaving my old house totally empty and ready for the new owner. <strong> Mission accomplished!</strong> <br /> This whole thing was enormously stressful for us and DeVries did a great job at getting us out on time, doing more than promised. Kudos to all of you. <br /> Now I hope they all read this since in just a few weeks, we will be moving everything out of storage into our new house. Send Levi and company?they represent the best your company has to offer. <br /> Thanks. <br /> <br />

Crew showed up on time. Wrapped all my furniture which I did not expect, I was happy about that. The guys made short work of loading and unloading and were happy to put things exactly where I wanted. Just wanted to add I had first called a local company I used a year and a half ago, I told the guy he had overcharged me last time at $750.00 , he said it was going to be $900 to $1000 this time. DeVries did it for $564 and they were faster and wrapped my furniture. They are an excellent company to deal with.
