They dont deserve a negative rating .They should be stripped off their license The worst time of my life is talking to this company and the other worst part bringing in a technician from this company to work in my building .It is a winter storm and my building had the most damage which cost us almost $400,000 and we are still fixing .The guy from this company could have stopped everything when i told him to go check the Attic to see if there are more damages ,he refused to go and tried to fix just one pipe which was leaking. This is a basic thing and we are not experts so we tend to go with their skill. But i insisted to check and he refused to do ,the reason he gave is he is loaded with so many jobs and he cannot waste time.Just to fix 2 broken pipes he charged me $9,000.Can anyone believe this a $9,000 job but if he could have noticed the Attic i m sure he could have seen the fire sprinkler joints broken everywhere and we could have stopped the water .But he did not and when temperature went up a little bit water tried to flow through at a rapid pace and broke everything, flood all over my building.Floors, walls, materials roof the damage cannot stop .so far i spent $400,000 but still there are fixes to be done.Heartless people and they always care about money. This guy will make money even out of dead people .The damages still gives me night mares as i lost so much in the business too as i could not fix everything on time. Please stay from the scam people.

This service to fix the wobbling toilet was performed April 20th 2018 and he charged me $500 after a so called discount of $127 first time customer discount. Below are excerpts from the invoice as it is. Exorbitant price and the toilet is leaking at the base again Dec 2020. Esitmate to remove and replace cusotmer toilet in the master bathroom. 245-50=195 Total(195) Advised the cusotmer that an addiitonal price will need to be given if the flange is damaged and needs to be replaced or repaired. Additional 300$ to repair flange. Addiitonal 75$ to replace fill valve and flapper in master toilet. Additional 50$ to install angle stop on master toilet. 127$ off for first time customer. Total(493)

"Firstly, this estimate is from 4/20/2018, over two and a half years ago, so what was the motivation to leave a negative review on Jan of 2021? Also, we offer a totally free onsite estimate and you are of course never obligated to have the work performed. It is unfortunate that you are uncomfortable with the price, but we guarantee the best price in writing. Our plumbers only perform proper repairs and we do not give band aid type repairs. We wish you luck in the future!"

Re: The attached Work Orders ‘3/17/2020 Invoice # 12966031720’ & ‘3/19/2020 Invoice # 12979031920’ submitted by De Wolfe’s Affordable Plumbing. My requirement conveyed to De Wolfe’s Affordable Plumbing of PO Box 2031, Wylie, TX 75098 over the phone was to submit quotations to ‘release the blockage in the drain lines from a] the kitchen sink and b] the bathtub’. They submitted their work order 3/17/2020 Invoice # 12966031720 giving the cost to release the blockage in the drain line from the kitchen sink as $195 and the drain line from the bathtub as $75. I accepted this quotation verbally and they proceeded to carry out the work on 3/19/2020. They did carryout the work they detailed in their proposal and the drain line from the kitchen improved somewhat and the drain line from the bathtub completely. Therefore, as indicated in the work order 3/19/2020 Invoice # 12979031920 under “Job Notes and Instructions - Paid 270 via 1102” I paid $270.00 by my check number 1102 for carrying out the work described in item number one of the 3/19/20 Work Order. Please also note the manual entry I had made on 3/20/2020 “Not cleared yet”. Then I called Jen of the De Wolfe’s office and the plumber Mike on 3/20/2020 and complained that the aim of clearing the drain line from the kitchen sink was not completely satisfactory. They insisted that unless I agree to pay at least the estimated cost of $1,000 “to cut open the undercabinet under the k/s” they will not be able to clear the drain line from the kitchen sink as described in item two of their 3/19/20 work order. Additional cost was to be included ‘if the entire cabinet needs to be removed’. I did not agree to this as the cost was very excessive. The partial block on the drain line from the kitchen sink remained. On June 22nd, 2020 I called A2Z Atomic Plumbing, Inc. of 1175 Skylar Drive, Rockwell, TX 75032 as the kitchen sink disposer was stuck. They tried to get it to work by turning it by hand, but finally had to replace the disposer. On testing the new disposer, they found that the drain line from the kitchen sink was not draining all the water when the faucet was fully open. They then completely cleared the blockage by running a snake cable through the underground drain line from the kitchen to the city sewer without any additional cost to me. 1] I wish to commend the plumber Michael, the assistant Austin and A2Z Atomic Plumbing, Inc. for the excellent work they did at a reasonable cost. On a previous occasion they replaced the main gas line from the street to the house in a very expeditious manner. 2] I also recommend that you re-examine the validity of the license of the De Wolfe’s plumber Mike and the Plumbing contractor De Wolfe’s for giving false unprofessional diagnosis and for quoting an exorbitant price to carry out the false unprofessional work.

He did a good job, was very nice but $295.00 for one hour of work was too much. He said the faucet cost $50.00??? So $245.00 still seemed like a gouge.
Response from DeWolfe's Affordable Plumbing
"It is unfortunate that you are unhappy paying $295 for this service, which you authorized. We always offer a free onsite estimate for residential customers, and there is absolutely no obligation to have the work performed, as the estimate is good a whole year. Please understand, we charge by the job not by the hour, so it is not the same as a low hourly wage that takes many hours. This plumber was able to complete the repair quickly with parts already on hand and repaired mortar at no additional charge. Also, we always guarantee the lowest price in writing, so if another company were to quote "in writing" a lesser price for the same service, we match it! Hoping your day is great!"

Technican was nice as long as I paid him and the job easy. The way my house is designed the kitchen sink drains into my spare bathroom septic line. I specifically told the tech and the customer service rep that I put a pipe in the kitchen clean out so that at least my kitchen sink would drain and that water would not settle around the foundation and was was temporary . Tech comes out fixes the toilet but finds a stoppage at 6 foot and tech recommends I spend an addtl $250 plus the cost of a toilet to install a new toilet as that is what he believes is the issue. (how a toilet at surface level will cause a blockage at 6 feet, not sure) I asked the tech are you sure it's not the kitchen sink as it T's into the line and anytime the toilet is clogged the kitchen sink is clogged. The technican assured me the kitchen sink was fine. I did make the mistake of not being at home and not making sure that I replaced the Cap to the cleanout for the kitchen sink. I get home, the temporary pipe that I created to make sure that I could drain my kitchen sink and that water would not settle around the foundation, was still installed. I put the drain out cap that was sitting on the window ledge next to the pipe wrench - Kitchen sink is still clogged. I called the company to come back out and correct - Not only did the tech hang up on me when I said that I needed him to come back out to finish the job I paid for they told me "there is no warranty on a stoppage" When I explained to them that the kitchen sink was part of the stoppage they said no it was not - that everything was running fine when they left and that putting the cap back on the clean out valve is considered "Altering the Septic system" even though I was very clear that the clean out valve pipe was temporary from the beginning - Any Plumbing Tech worth his license would know that. I do not recommend for future jobs.

I'm honestly flabbergasted. TLDR: Incompetent or lazy plumber where almost everything he said was contradicted by a second way more professional plumber. Also was incredibly rude the second time he came out and actually said "Helllll no" when we requested something (not exaggerating the l's.) - Mike came out to fix a toilet blockage from our master toilet. He said we had no clean-outs and needed to spend $5,000 to install two way clean-outs in our flower bed, so he could run his camera down to find the root cause of the issue. He couldn't get his camera equipment through the toilet because there were too many twists and turns in our pipe. He cleared the blockage and said it was outside our house around 25 feet away. - We got blocked up again 2 weeks later. We found out we already had a two way city clean out, so we asked him if he could run his camera through that one and showed him a diagram from the city. He launched into a long explanation of how that wasn't going to work, and the city clean-out goes 6 feet underground and twists and turns - no plumber would run a camera through that way. He wouldn't even open the cover to look. Then lectured us for 30 minutes and told us 6 times that we need to get a two way clean-out installed on our flower bed - not the city one. He even walked us over to the flower bed to show us where it should be. Said there was likely a broken pipe under our driveway / near the tree in our front lawn because the first time he cleared it, it was 25 feet away. Told us to call another plumber to get a second opinion but that they would say the same thing. - Called another plumber. They found the two way clean-out in our flower bed within 2 minutes of poking around with a stick. The same one that Mike told us 6 times we needed to spend $5,000 to install. They also ran the camera down the city two way clean out and were able to see that there was no issue under our driveway or under the tree. Turns out the broken pipe was right under our house, about 10-15 feet away from the toilet blockage. - Other plumber said he has no idea how Mike from DeWolfe's plumbing could have possibly said the blockage was 25 feet out. Also has no idea how he couldn't find the flower bed clean-outs because there were just some leaves covering it. Also has no idea why he wouldn't run the camera down the city clean out. If he had, that would have clearly shown the broken pipe was NOT under the driveway or the tree - that it was 10 feet from the toilet under our house. - We couldn't shower or use our only other full bathroom because of the blockage. We were almost desperate enough to just have DeWolfe's clear it again, just so we could use our other restroom. Because of how incredibly condescending he was, we decided against it. If we had asked him to clear it, we would have paid another $270 for a bandaid solution and still not have known we already have clean-outs to address the root cause of the issue. - I explained all this to Jennifer from the front desk, and she promised the owner would call me back today to discuss what happened. I just got a call back from her saying the owner is too busy and would not call me. There would also be no way of getting us any kind of discount or refund. Instead, they tried to tell us maybe the clean-out was too far buried, or we have two breaks. Other plumber confirmed this was not the case because he knew immediately from looking at our house we had a clean-out in our flower bed, and he ran the whole line from our house to the city sewer and only saw one break. He was also baffled.
Response from DeWolfe's Affordable Plumbing
"You were provided and paid for the service to unstop a clogged line from your toilet, the toilet was pulled prior to the plumbers arrival indicating your previous knowledge that a clean out in the flowerbed was not immediately accessible, you also confirmed to our office staff that our plumber showed you where a clean out should be and neither yourself or our plumber was able to view one. You indicated in a later conversation to our office staff that the clean out was in fact buried and not immediately accessible and were upset that our plumber did not perform the extra labor free of charge to locate that clean out. The plumber indicated his findings once the service of clearing the stoppage was performed to your satisfaction to which we have signature evidence, and offered an initial recommendation based on the limited labor he did perform while onsite but did not provide a dollar amount for that recommendation on his estimate. The plumbers recommendation to install a clean out where one was not visible to either yourself or our plumber was given only if the problem persisted. When you called our office for a return visit you were informed multiple times by our scheduler that there is no warranty on stoppages per company policy because we cannot guarantee what has been put down the line after completion of the service. You were informed of the plumbers recommendation and you opted to have a return visit performed agreeing over the phone that you would be required to pay a second fee to have the stoppage cleared again, the plumber only declined onsite to perform that service because you wanted him to do it for free. We feel it pertinent to mention your only desired resolution to this complaint is a refund for services that were actually performed to your satisfaction at the time and only arose when your issue recurred 3 weeks later which we unfortunately cannot warrant offering as the service was performed as originally agreed upon."

I thought good originally because I beleved the plumber when he told us that the Lavatory faucet had to be replaced to fix the stopper problem and the outside faucet could not be repaired and required a new faucet and replacement of the brick that led to the faucet. However, today I went to Home Depot and found replacement parts for the lavatory stopper and found out that the outside faucet did have washer available to refurbish it. Furthermore, when the plumber turned the water back on he did not check the rear house faucet and water ran for a couple of hours before we stepped out and saw it. It was late in the day when he finished the tub faucet so he left but said he could come back and do the remaining repairs. We would not let him come back to do any more work.
Response from DeWolfe's Affordable Plumbing
"You were given a free onsite estimate for multiple plumbing repairs in your home, all estimates from our company are in writing and are valid for a full year so there is zero obligation to have work completed if you disagree with the plumbers assessment. The plumber installed a new slip on your tub faucet for a discounted price which you agreed to, in addition, once that repair was completed the plumber noticed that water wasn't draining and as a courtesy he unstopped the slow drain free of charge. Our plumber did not advise that the lavatory faucet required replacement, he simply noted that the service cost for addressing the drain only was comparable to replacing the faucet as well as the drain, it is fair to mention that the faucet in question was an older unit and showed signs of corrosion so it was the plumbers opinion that it would be optimal to replace both the faucet and drain to ensure a guaranteed solution. In regards to the exterior faucet, the plumber attempted to unscrew the unit and felt it turning in the wall, so to avoid future issues he provided his recommendation and a quote to replace it with a frost-proof faucet. It is our goal to ensure all customers are completely satisfied, and our plumber provided recommendations that he felt would result in quality repairs based on his experience and expertise. Once again there was zero obligation to have any of these services performed and we stand behind our plumbers recommendations and are proud to warranty the work he performs."

Although I originally thought this would be a simple snake job on our shower, it ended up being much, much more. The snake couldn't get through the drain to the clog, and when Mike (the plumber working the job) tried to send a camera through the outside access the camera wouldn't go through either. That suggested either a serious clog or a broken pipe or some other unknown issue. But it needed a tunnel under the shower to access the pipes. They called a sub-contractor to do the tunnel and started that the next day. When they got the tunnel dug, they found that the plumbing was actually inside the concrete beams making up the foundation. So they had to chip out the concrete of the foundation to access the pipes. As Mike explained the scope of the work required on the foundation, I became concerned that the structural integrity of the foundation/home might be compromised. But we had little choice if we wanted the shower to be functional once more. So the following day the subs chipped out the concrete and Mike fixed the plumbing problem, redesigning the piping to insure this problem would never recur. Due to the damage done to the foundation, we agreed it would be a good idea to have an engineer assess whether there was a structural problem as a result. That was done the following day and the we decided a couple of piers supporting the foundation would be a good insurance policy. That was done a couple of days later and the tunneling sub returned and filled the hole back in and disposed of the excess dirt. All in all an extremely painful and expensive clogged drain, but Mike and all of the support staff at DeWolfe's were extremely professional, helpful, flexible and understanding throughout. I highly recommend them for any plumbing issues.
