We use innovative products and techniques to give our clients the highest level of craftsmanship and long-term performance they can hope to receive when hiring a deck builder. Anyone can make a deck look good from afar and seem to perform how it should on the surface but very few companies go the extra mile to make them immaculate up close and perform at its best. The products being installed on maintenance-free decks are warrantied anywhere from 20 to 75 years, those warranties mean nothing when the frame its attached to has no special provisions to ensure it will maintain its integrity for years to come. Without special provisions to the framing details of a deck project the frame is almost certain to defect prematurely in comparison to the life expectancy of all the products installed over it. "it's not a question of if the products are going to stand up to their warranty periods, its a matter of the frame making it that long". -We used to do many maintenance-free deck-resurfacing projects every year (and still will depending on the age and condition of the frame) and with disassembling aged-decks you learn their weaknesses and points of failure over time. It is our job to ensure that the project you are affording is a "buy once, cry once" situation. -With all that being said we still bid our projects competitively, we will define all the special details we implement and options available to you with your project in the bids you will receive. I was looking for someone to build a new set of stairs that led to my back patio. Carter called me back immediately to discuss what I was looking for. I will never never recommend them to anybody. He's a liar. Worst thing ever. Didn't know how to mix the cement. They don't have proper and right equipment. They use plastic bag and they only shake it. Every time that he did a mistake to the materials he wants me to buy a new one. The materials are very expensive. He also over charge me and charged me again for another 4 hours. He did everything wrong. I told him to be careful with the grass he can use the rocks to to the cement but he didn't care. When I paid him the last balance $500 he was so nice and said that he will come back to clean the garbage left. Then today I texted him and asked him when he will come back to finish the project and he texted me back with full of bad words.

"Unfortunately this client was unhappy with anything less than free. Because of that he hovered over us the entire time trying to nit pick everything we did. He thought it would’ve been less invasive to his grass if we were to drive a tow behind concrete mixer and wheel buggies through his soft soil.... He hired a unlicensed contractor to start with, the city flagged the project and he had to hire a proper contractor to finish it out. He eventually paid close to what it would’ve been to have just hired a real contractor to begin with and feels as though we wronged him for charging him appropriately and shepherding him through his mistakes. Let him be a good-bad-example for everyone. He’s now trying to retaliate and make false claims which will land him in front of a judge for libel and slander..."

Carter and his team were a joy to work with since day 1. At first, he was very responsive to my inquiry. Over the phone, he provided a nearly to the dollar estimate. We quickly scheduled a visit where a specific estimate was prepared. We got the project started right on schedule. His team was a delight. Always on time, and worked hard through full days, of which several were very hot, the team always worked with a positive spirit. The outcome was beautiful. Carter was essentially obsessed with ensuring the details were all attended to with the highest level of professionalism. In the end, the costs came in as estimated. No surprises. I highly recommend Carter and his company Dexpert.
