Went perfectly. They were pleasantly early, professional, friendly and courteous. Also gave several estimates for future work. Mike even cleaned a drip drain clogged with leaves and debris as a favor. Will definitely call them again!

He was supposed to fix the clog in the kitchen sink, route the main line and clean the catch basin. He said he would do all 3 jobs for $400. He was expensive. When I had my daughter go to write the check, I informed her to make it out for $400. She was filling out the check, and then he said the cost would be $450. We questioned him, and my daughter had already filled in the check. He said it would be okay and he would take the $400. Mike did an okay job, but I didn't feel I got my money's worth. He was here about 90 minutes. He was supposed to clean the catch basin and clean the main line, but he did not go into the basement, where my main line is located.
Response from DinoSewer
"Well, I'm sorry you feel this way! I remember telling you it was $450 for the service. I settled with that amount because you probably misunderstood me or hear me and I didn't want you upset at us. I always say " You can't please everyone all the time!!" the reason we didn't go in the basement is that is not what I contracted to do.The line in the basement is a branch line not a main. You can get to the main from there but once again I didn't contract to that! Sorry we couldn't satisfy you but I know we did everything correct!"

I called DinoSewer on 11/10 and was able to make an appointment for the next day at 9:00 a.m. 2 repairmen arrived at 8:55 a.m. and were finished with the job by 9:15 a.m. They were very professional, courteous and didn't leave any mess. I will definitely use DinoSewer in the future. Note: I used a 10% off coupon from Angie's List. Otherwise the cost would have been $85.00.

Mike and his colleague arrived within the promised hour window and did a quick and professional job at unclogging a drain during the holiday weekend. I'll certainly use them again.

Mike & Isaac came in and got right to work. Explained everything in detail to me. They had to leave to get materials, but came right back and got back to work. They were very respectful of my pets and made sure the doors were closed behind them so my pets could not get out. They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional and courteous. They were great and I would call them again for any plumbing issue I may have.

The firm first asked to come a couple hours later than originally planned, then arrived about 40 minutes earlier than their rescheduled time and had to wait until I returned about 30 minutes before their rescheduled time. They checked our two catch basins. One did not need much work but the other had a blockage, from crumbling mortar, that they cleared. They then rodded and sent a camera down a sewer line, to determine where there was a significant blockage, so that they could propose corrective action. They provided us a proposal for correcive action the next day. Our Board has agreed to pursue a couple of the proposals, but needs two more bids before proceeding.

During the major rainstorms we?ve been having, the drains in the basement (both in the laundry room and the shower) backed up. We mopped up the water and cleaned. After that, though, there was frequently a rotten egg/sewer smell coming from the drain. I did some research on Angie?s List and called DinoSewer. When I set the appointment on the phone, Gary asked me when the last time was that the lines had been rodded. The house was built in 1948. I bought it in December 2009. My guess was that the last clean-out was closer to 1948 than 2009. He told me he would rod and run tv camera through the line so we could see what was going on. They were unable to rod all the way to the street due to misaligned/damaged pipes. Gary proposed that they excavate down to the sewer line in the front yard and put in a local access. Then have the inspector come out to approve the work and be on hand to run the tv camera to the street. That way, if there was damage on the street side, the inspector would see it first hand and city would be responsible for those repairs. The contract was drawn up to ?install proper cleanout access in front yard. Dig down to main line, remove misaligned/damaged sections of pipe. Install sanitary tee, pipe and riser, bed all pipework in stone after making proper connections?.once complete, rod and camera remaining line for further problems or defects.? He was clear that they wouldn?t do landscaping at the end and that we would have to keep saturating the resulting dirt pile until it settled. He put in writing a 10 year warranty on the pipework and a 2 year warranty on the rodding. Done. He also replaced a leaky faucet in the basement bathroom (took out the old, went out and bought and installed a new one). The total price (above) included $235.00 for the new faucet. Everything done according to agreement. The entire project took about three days (from the initial attempt at rodding). Haven?t had any back up since even though we?ve had several more rainstorms. There was a rotten egg smell after one of the storms and I called. Gary came right out. We had already plugged the drain (rubber drain stopper) and, frankly, it was working just fine. He gave some suggestions that sounded like more than I wanted to get into. We agreed that, as long as the plug was working, why not? He didn't try to pressure me into any other work. The dirt pile outside is gradually settling (saturate and hoe dirt clumps to encourage gravity to do its work). Very happy with the results and will use DinoSewer for future plumbing work.

The only reason I rate the price a "B" is because I didn't get other quotes and don't know if the price was competitive or not. I say this because Mike was so responsive and so professional that I really didn't care much if he was a little higher than others, and my wife felt the same way! We were not "desperate", we just felt that good about doing business with Mike and his company. Mike and his helper spent an entire day digging the hole to get to our deeper-than-average line and never complained, and more importantly, Mike never asked for a price adjustment even after having a lot of difficulty with our project. I would use them again and again, and I highly recommend Dinosewer to anyone who asks!

Punctual, accurate quote, thorough and efficient work. The only reason I rate their pricing a 'B' is because I'm not familiar with the pricing for these types of services, and I wasn't expecting to spend a significant amount of money on plumbing 2 months after buying my house. However, the guys were great to work with, which was nice.

I called and there was a truck at my house within an hour on a Saturday afternoon. Nothing short of phenomenal service. Best part of this story is another Angie's provider quoted $900 for the same job. I am completely satisfied!!! These guys are fantastic!!!

in the initial phone call, mike--the boss--helped me think through and problem solve the issue. i got off the phone and tried some of what he had suggested. then i called back and set up an appointment to get some help. one of his associates came the next morning on time and fixed it quickly. he also explained to me what he was doing and suggested maintenance that i could try to discourage this from happening again. the price was more than i would like to spend but good work can do that sometimes...

Not only did Big Mike's service respond promptly in this very busy time when numerous homes in Illinois were affected by floods, they came promptly, listened to my description of the problem, assessed the situation accurately (as well as honestly and inexpensively), and had the issue causing the problem immediately fixed. The representative (Gary) was extremely respectful and helpful. I hope I don't need them again, but if I do, they'd be the first company I call.

Gary came the next day with an assistant and completed all the work in one day. The sewer work completed required some major excavation and pipe replacement. Gary and aide worked from the time they came (promptly on time) until they left (about 9-10 hours later) Gary promised to do the job in one day and he delivered. He was careful to explain all stages of the work along the way, and notified us when he was leaving the premise to get materials. When the laundry tub work could not be repaired he deducted the cost from original estimate. The replacement cement work was finished neatly, they cleaned up before they left, and Gary explained the work needed to be done re: laundry tub repair as well as costs. (we're saving that for another day). Mike called later that same evening to get our opinion about the work done. From start (my original call to get estimate) to finish (Mike's check in call) was 4 days. This was an extremely positive experience ; Gary's (and assistant's) work ethic was amazing; they worked quietly and efficiently, explained the work as it was being done. There was no inconvenience and minimal interruption of water use. We were particularly impressed by (1) Gary's honesty about not being able to get the laundry tub issues resolved and his reducing original estimate to reflect the change in estimate and (2) Mike's call at the end of the day. we will definitely be calling back to get further work completed and feel very comfortable making this recommendation.

I would give him straight A's. He was punctual. He gave me advice on which faucets to buy, which were better than the others and what not to buy. He called a half hour before the appointment to tell me that he was coming. I didn't know I was getting a discount but he gives a 10% discount for Angie's List members so it was nice to save money. I thought that I had another problem but he told me that it didn't need to be fixed so that showed he had my best interest in mind.

They got a 6" cutter in where another company only did a 2". Then they put a camera down the pipes -- it was totally cleaned out up and downstream. Hopefully, the flooding will stop. Took 1.5 hrs for two guys - good deal. And nice guys too. Definitely will use again. They gave Angie's list discount too.

Punctual. Given the glowing rewiews I was actually looking forward to getting these things fixed for our association. Guy who did the actual work was NOT Mike, but Gary I think his name was. Snaking the line to the street was uneventful, 20 minutes $202.00 o.k. Gary? recommended we have the catch basin grease etc sucked out and recommended a provider (brother in law) for this. great. Next he replaced the out door hydrant faucet a $20-$30 part. We had hoped to not have to open the wall up to do the fix as there was an access panel there w/a shut-off valve is located. After a 1/2 hearted attempt and Garys time clock ticking, he decided there was no other way to get the fix done. I'm not a plumber, so I ok the tearing up of the wall. fine. He spent maybe an hour on the hydrant faucet valve fix a $20-30 part and charged us $400.00 Seemed excessive to me, but again NOT a plumber. So I call the referral to get the gunk sucked out of the catch basin. This guy, NOT the brother in law, says he can suck the gunk out BUT intoned we really should have this industrial procedure done to properly clean the sewer line to the street. Makes sense to me & I feel I blew $200 on the snake job of the previous week. So not really happy w/the provider. They did what we requested but if your looking for an honest," looking out for you" fair operation, I would skip this outfit.
Response from DinoSewer
"Well, all I can say is that I never knew Gary called out his relative for the catch basin. I use another firm to do it and all they do is the cleaning for me and nothing else. Sorry about that! Now,if you had a problem with the job 1 of my guys are on other than myself, #1 you can request me and #2 you never called to complain about the job while he was there or after he left. I take pride in my company but as I said before and I'll say it again " I can't be everywhere at once and we can't please everyoneall the time!" I'm sorry you had a bad experience with my company but let me ask you this " have you ever ate at a restaraunt before that you've eatin there before but that time wasn't so good but the next time it was?"Once again sorry for your bad experience I'll let know that this mishap won't happen again!!!!"

we had a clogged bathtub drain--water was standing and bubbling up from using the sink. they came and unclogged the drain and it is now draining normally again. thank god. big mike was friendly, gave me a 2 hr window which he adhered to, and was able to fix my problem 2 hrs after i called to schedule--aka this guy is flexible on a weekend which can be a rarity for these kind of things. it took under 20 minutes to fix the problem and i think the price was very fair. i was also pleased to know that it came with a 30 day guarantee.

It went great. I highly recommend Mike for any plumbing job. Mike was very friendly and professional, and responded right away to our requests to schedule, and then re-schedule the work. Also called both me & my husband as requested, to let us know he was on his way. He and his assistant arrived on time, and did the job quickly and professionally. The floor under the toilet was in worse shape than we had thought, as the boards underneath were damaged from the slow leak. But Mike was able to adjust the flange, which stopped the leak. They also put putty under the base, which another plumber had neglected to install. As for the sewer rodding, they also did a great job. They rodded out the line fully, past where the tree roots were breaking through. They began inside the basement, but because of how the pipes are in our 100+ year old house, had to go outside to finish rodding it out. Mike is an excellent plumber. I have nothing but praise for the guy. You will not be disappointed.

Called at 7:30 AM for a Sloan valve commode fixture that was stuck "on" and continuously flushing. Was given an estimated arrival time of 9 to 9:30. Arrived after 10. Two gentlemen arrived, assessed the issue, shut off water at the main valve, replaced diaphragm, opened main valve back up, tested the repair, and cleaned up. Did not provide warranty for the problem re-occurring when asked, only for defective parts.
