From the moment that I was contacted through email I have felt welcomed and never pressured. Kayln K is my contact at Disctinctive Diamonds. She is WONDERFUL! When I went in during the big sale, I had made an appointment. She briefly said hello then had to finish up another one. From the moment she came back to me, it was as if I was the only one there with all the other shoppers. She listened to exactly what I wanted and knew right where the ring was and it was perfect. She helped get me the best price and didn't push me to get the bigger diamond. She wanted what I wanted. She has kept in touch throughout the process of me proposing and I will be going back to get other rings there! Thanks Kalyn!!!!

My wife had the stone fall out of her ring which quickly turned into the end of the world despite me telling her I was not mad and that things happen. My wife went into distinctive while I was in the car a crying mess and came out still crying but with tears of joy. They took great care of my wife replacing the stone and polishing it up for her. I now have a happy wife and thus I am happy. I am glad I chose Distinctive. We will continue to do business with them and refer friends and family to them. Great Service!

The experience was amazing. From day one, they were extremely helpful, honest, upfront, and just made the buying experience one I actually enjoyed!

It went great. I used the $100.00 for $200.00 Aggies List coupon. The store offers snacks to the customers. The had a great valentines promotion at the time of my purchase. Makes you not want go to chain jewelry stores. Plus the chains upcharge the extras. <br />

This experience was so enjoyable. We told Kris that we had gone to another jewelry store and had been 'trapped' there for HOURS! She made sure to tell us everything that we needed to know and didn't bog us down with information that wasn't important to us. She made us feel well informed! 2 months later we are officially engaged and I still couldn't be happier with our ring choice! I would highly recommend Distinctive Diamonds! The staff was friendly and very helpful! <br />

Distinctive Diamonds generously donated jewelry for a fundraiser and Kris Cassady not only attended the event, but also jumped in and very actively helped us generate contributions for opportunities to win the jewelry.  Kris has also helped me personally select great gifts for my wife.  She knows what my wife wears and likes, and she works within my budget.  The gifts she has helped me select have always been a big hit.  Thank you, Kris!  Distinctive Diamonds is my go-to place for jewelry and Kris is my go-to person there.

My fianc? asked friends where to start who had told him not to bother shopping elsewhere; just go to Distinctive Diamonds. He didn't quite listen and after a few price comparisons, felt confident his friends were right. He said he'd visited a few times to determine exactly what he wanted and was helped each time by Matt Philley who helped him figure out what the right diamond for his taste and budget were without being pushy or pretentious. I've since gone a couple times to select the setting I want, as they set it in a basic band for him as my fianc? wanted me to pick my own. Matt was every bit as low stress and extremely helpful as my fianc? said, as was Jessica Stapleton who helped me on a visit when Matt wasn't working. From my experience, everyone my fianc? and I've encountered Has been amazing, prices are such values, and the selection is fantastic and plentiful. A++

<p>The service from Matt was excellent.  He stayed in contact with us the entire time as the ring was being designed and created.  He gave me updates regularly by text.  Can't say enough about this guy... he's a real pro.</p> <p>For the most part, the service you get from the entire staff at Distinctive is very good.  They greet you with refreshments immediately and are extremely friendly.  </p> <p>We had one unsettling experience however.  We were in the shop several times over the course of eight weeks, of which we had no choice because of the complexity of the ring.  We showed up one morning as they opened at 10am and several employees looked very put off by that.  Not sure if customers don't usually come in that early or not, but the vibe we got that day was not friendly at all.  Glaring looks of disgust from a few people and that's awkward when they outnumber you 15 to 2.  Looked like a morning meeting took place on the floor after the doors had opened, and maybe we disrupted that balance?  My advice going forward would be to have the meeting pre-doors being opened and concentrate on customers when the doors open at 10am. If I was a new customer I would have walked out and never returned.</p> <p>My C's above for Professionalism, Responsiveness, and Punctuality are from the bad vibe we received for this experience, so this will alert you to fix that issue going forward.</p> <p>Regardless, I overlook that as the ring is beautiful, the price seems fair and Matt was excellent to deal with.</p> <p>I own a sizable company and I make mistakes daily.  I learn from them and try to correct issues so going forward we can be a better provider.  Every company has their misses and I get it.  Had we not had that experience though it would be As from top to bottom, and Matt absolutely deserves As from top to bottom.  </p> <p>Let me be clear in my review, I recommend Distinctive Diamonds.  I will return as a repeat customer in future years and you should try them on for size as well!</p> <p><br /></p>

They called me as soon as the trouble started to say that a few stones in one of the rings were damaged during cleaning but would be replaced with new ones. This delayed the process by 2 days but since they were upfront with this, we were okay with the delay. I was called that the rings were ready for pick-up. The rings look brand new. They never charged me a dime, eventhough only 2 of the 4 rings were bought through them. I have always had good luck and great service with Distinctive. <br /> <br />

Everything went very well, was warmly greeted by Megan when I came in.  Explained that I was in a hurry and just needed something suitable for a gift for my sibling.  Would definitely go back for in the future. <br />

<p>I went in to Distinctive with my wedding ring that was 13 years old.  I spoke with Kristen with hopes of taking my diamonds out of my ring and designing a new one. She was awesome! We looked around the store and I told her what I liked and what I was looking for. We found a style that I liked within 5 minutes. Kristen gave me all different ideas and even colored some diamonds on the ring with a sharpie so I could visualize what it looked like with birthstones, just to give me another idea or choice. </p> <p>She emailed me with-in 2 days with pricing and actual pictures (CAD) of what the ring would look like with my diamonds in it. When I placed the order, she told me it would take 6 weeks to finish, it only took 4 1/2. She had quoted me a price and when the work was done, it was actually lower than she estimated. </p> <p>I really had a great experience with DD and especially Kristen. I would recommend them to anyone. </p> <br />

I purchased a wedding ring set with them & put it on layaway. They worked with me when I had personal issues so my layaway was a lot longer than their norm. I went in today to pick up my ring that was paid in full only to be told we don't have it. You picked it up 2 weeks ago. On a day I wasn't even in town on. When I asked to look into the matter they said very suspect & had never happened before. They basically accused me of lying and said that they would look at the tape. When I said please do they told me it would show who picked the rings up. Like that would make me change the truth that I did not pick the rings up. Ever. I the. Asked when the vid shows that I was not the one who picked up these rings what would happen. The manager told me I don't know. I asked what policies were in place to ensure something like this didn't happen or what the process was if it did. I was told that they didn't have one and no one would help me. That's 4000 down the drain. They just kept telling me we worked with u by holding the layaway longer then normal. My sentiments is that's was not the point that I appreciate what they did for me but that wasn't the point as it wasn't what I was asking about. They were rude and nasty. Basically telling me it was all my fault. I left feeling like they stole from me. Very unprofessional. Do not trust <br />

Melissa and Matt were amazing to work with, and the chocolates and ring pops were fun and helped everything not seem so serious, which I thought would be the case before I actually went in. Everyone was friendly.

Distinctive Diamonds claimed that the problem was not with the way they set the diamonds that fell out of my ring.  They instead blamed me for not having taken care of my ring and not bringing it in for a cleaning within 6 months so that their staff could make sure the setting was secure.  (Why would the setting not be secure if the jeweler had made the ring properly the first time?).  My husband and I were quite forgiving the first 2 times that we had to take my sentimental ring in to have the "found" diamond added to the setting again.  This last time (the third!) was the last straw.  Once again, the sales person we spoke to implied that it was my fault that I lost the diamond.  He said that he would have to talk to the owner before the replacement and repair of the ring was done.  This was understandable.  What was not "acceptable" was the answer we received from Distinctive Diamonds concerning how they planned to resolve the problem and ensure that it would NOT happen again. <br /> We were not charged for the new setting, which, was what we should have been sold in the first place.  4 prongs are better than 3 and I believe that the jewelers at Distinctive Diamonds were negligent in not recommending and using the 4 prong setting so none of these incidents would have happened.  What we were charged for was replacing the missing diamond!  Please understand; this is not about money but about shoddy workmanship and indifference to a customers request for a reasonable settlement to a situation that was NOT their fault. <br />  Also, please note…I continue to not work with heavy machinery or any substance that might damage my jewelry.  I have taken to not wearing my engagement ring for fear that the craftsmanship to repair it 3 times is still not going to be enough to ensure that it will stay in one piece. <br /> <br /> <br />

Lacey Rose was SO helpful! We visited about 8 reputable jewelry stores in Northeast Indy and Distinctive Diamonds had the BEST selection by far for engagement rings.  Our experience was great, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting and Lacey Rose kept us updated throughout the process. We wouldn't hesitate to use their services again. <br />
