I hired Divine Home Remodeling to redo my master bathroom. Big mistake and I do NOT recommend them at all. These are not honest people! I’m just now doing the homework on Divine Home Remodeling. They have had multiple complaints against them at the BBB. For the complaint just made in May, Divine Home Remodeling didn’t even bother to respond. So, if you hire them, they will require you to sign a contract agreeing to arbitration for any disputes, but then will blatantly breach that contract if you are dissatisfied with their work as shown from the BBB complaint. Not honest people! There's more. According to the Contractors State License Board, they have been cited for multiple violations, including exceeding contract amounts, violating building laws, and trying to pay an employee under the table. All of this is verifiable. Not honest people! For me, it was like a bait and switch scam. Although their original estimate was less than the competition, Divine Home Remodeling nickeled and dimed me for an add-on project to the point where they ended up being more expensive for SUBSTANTIALLY LESS WORK than the other estimates I got. One estimate by another licensed contractor included everything Divine Home Remodeling did, plus included installing a new bathtub, tiling the walls to ceiling, and creating a new closet, all for $12,500.00. I got none of that with Divine Home Remodeling but ended up paying them $13,000.00. The project manager's flare of over-exaggerating the scope of the job is how they overcharged me, so I ended up paying for imaginary labor, time, and materials that were not needed to complete the job.. Bottom line, your remodeling dollars will go much further and possibly with fewer headaches if you hire another company because these are not honest people!
