Jeff, the owner, designed a beautiful patio with a fire pit. Installed it in about a week. It came out perfect! I’d definitely hire DJA again! DJA does outstanding design and installation work!

We had DJA Landscape do a pretty substantial patio and retaining wall project in our backyard and they knocked it out of the park. Jeff was very professional, honest and helpful every step of the way. He made some great suggestions in many areas of our design and we felt comfortable and well informed. We will not hesitate to use DJA again if and when we have another landscaping project and would recommend them without hesitation.

Jeff and his crew did an excellent job installing a large patio with a retaining wall in our backyard. Jeff helped us design our project. Our yard is sloped and we needed a lot of dirt removed. He communicated well about the details of our project. We really liked that he was on the job checking on his crew every day. We trusted his expertise and certifications. Jeff Friedman and his crew transformed our sloping, eroded, unusable backyard into a beautiful, idyllic, park-like setting. The retaining wall they built was a work of art and solved our erosion issue. Mr. Friedman was exceptionally helpful from the HOA approval process until the last perennial was planted. His crew left our yard in pristine condition. I would highly recommend DJA Landscape & Irrigation.

DJA is a fablous company! I am so pleased with their work. The team of workers worked so hard, and cleaned up each night after the days work. Jef,f also was on the job each day. The team was very professional, nice and a pleasure to have working in my yard. the work they did was soooo good. I have a beautiful new front porch and walk way , Curb appeal!!! The time they spent layng the pavers down and making sure it all looked perfect was good. they worked is really Top Line work. I am so very pleased they brought mulch to finish the bed, and leveled off the ground and put grass seed down were needed. . . DJA really thought of everything. ! I highly recommend them for your outdoor living spaces, curb appear or any stone work you may need. If i could give them a A plus I would !

Jeff with DJA was quickly able to diagnose the cause of my run-off problem which had become a safety issue since several folks had almost fallen after slipping on the mud that always accumulated in the area. He and his team showed up on time and did a beautiful job. I have had no further run-off issues. I followed Jeff's instructions on watering the grass seed and all areas have come in nicely. I have received many compliments on the new look.

I can't say anything negative about the work done with pavers, etc. However, when it came to their landscaping, grading, seeding and mulching, I had to do it over myself due lack of workmanship and follow-up. I supplied the mulch and there was only 1/2 - 3/4" placed around shrubs and a re-planted tree. Grading the yard would not have been close to what was agreed if I hadn't been present when completed. Seeding the yard was done twice with zero growth. One issue is there was topsoil to be applied but I, nor soil suppliers and other landscapers had never seen gray topsoil, which the company owner assured me was quality soil to use. As for grass seed, I'm not sure what was used but the only thing that grew was crabgrass, which I had to rid from my yard. My costs for properly adding quality soil, seed and then adding straw for germination was FAR less than what I was charged to do an improper and far from a professional job. Additional cost on my part will be adding mulch to a proper level and will be approximately an additional 25 -30 bags. As for the work on the pavers, it was a quality job. However, considering the overall job and the lack of properly completing the contracted work (and paid in full prior to completion - my fault), I could NOT recommend this company primarily due to lack of honesty in completing the work as contracted and lack of honesty on the part of the company.

"Integrity, workmanship, and customer satisfaction constitute the foundation of DJA Landscape & Irrigation. DJA’s success is built on these core principles. We are happy to have installed another DJA “quality job” per our customer’s review on the pavers for this project. However, it was disappointing to receive follow up through an unfavorable review. DJA can only address an issue when it is brought to our attention. What is remarkable is that each in-person meeting and conversation following the completion of this project was very positive with the customer stating how pleased he was with the work. Occasionally customers prefer to use material they have on hand, in this case mulch. DJA installed the customer’s bagged mulch as requested. Steps were taken to purchase and install the identical mulch when requested by the customer. At no time did DJA demand or request final payment prior to completion of the project. The customer offered the final payment before the final four hours of work were completed. Our company responded immediately to the customer’s concern about re-grading following settlement. Additional grading was done in the early fall as agreed to by the customer. Screened topsoil, fine fescue grass seed and straw were purchased from reputable local vendors. Oftentimes customers mistake annual grasses, which are inherent in straw applications, for crabgrass. Crabgrass rarely grows in the fall. A seeded turf will take at least two growing seasons to become established. It requires patience. DJA is always available to address issues or concerns after each project including this one. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority."

I am so very happy with my new patio and I couldn’t have picked a better company for this job. I have been over the top careful about who to select for this big of a job and Jeffrey (DJA Landscape) was super patient (7 years!!!) and has never put me under any pressure even when I bid out with competitors. After hearing everything about his company, seeing his work, comparing it to others and never feeling pressure, I completely trusted him and his company to do a great job and they did. Everyone, his crew and Jeff himself, work so hard. They are always working (besides the well-deserved lunch break), they are some of the hardest working people I have seen and I was at home every day and my dad watched from afar with his German-patio building standards and he also complimented them from the distance. The crew is extremely skilled and they don’t cut any corners. They all work like a well-oil machine — everything is carefully scheduled and planned. There is no downtime because materials are missing… or such.. everything is always ready. Jeff is great at communicating throughout the process with me and his crew and he checks in and comes by every day. It’s also very easy to communicate with his team who listen and address/change if you have any concerns at all. Jeff will be honest with you, he might not be the cheapest on the market, but after doing all of my research, he is very competitive with other companies and in his case… costs matches value. I highly recommended DJA Landscaping. I am super proud to attach some before and after pictures. I never had a patio before and now I can enjoy the outdoors.
