DJ Custom Cabinets (Don Dockery, owner) is a wonderful company to use for custom cabinet work. Last year we thought replacing the kitchen countertops and painting the walls would make our kitchen look more modern. After the work was completed, we realized that we should have replaced the kitchen cabinets as well. We had several contractors look at the cabinets and give us their opinion. We determined that DJ Custom Cabinets was the right team for the job. It was absolutely the right decision! Don has been in this line of business for over 45 years and felt 99% confident that he could put in new kitchen cabinets without removing the new countertops. He built a complex set of braces to hold up the countertops and was successful at removing the lower cabinets without any damage to the new countertops. He then slid the new lower cabinets under the braced countertops with no damage to the countertops. He replaced all the other cabinets as well. It was amazing to watch him do this. The cabinets are beautiful. His work is absolutely the best. Don and his team are great with communication and very respectful. We never had a call that wasn’t answered or returned quickly. He kept us informed throughout the process. The process was explained thoroughly. Timeline for work completion was right on. We highly recommend DJ Custom Cabinets for any custom cabinet work. Don built and installed our custom kitchen cabinets and they turned out amazing. Totally transformed our 1970 kitchen to modern. The quality of the cabinets is the best around. Love the full extension drawer guides and the soft close doors. People come over and when they see us close our cabinet doors they ask how we got them.

The wine cabinet was built out of American Walnut, to match our kitchen cabinets. The finished product exceeded our expectations! As part of our front office renovation I wanted to include a built-in bookcase in the design. After asking around for recommendations on custom cabinet makers, I decided to contact DJ’s Custom Cabinets for a quote. I spoke with Don and explained to him what I was wanting. He came by to take measurements and spent about an hour talking through the design and what would look/fit best in the space we were working with. Don made sure I approved of the layout and dimensions before starting construction – I believe his words were “I want you to be happy with the final product.” I’m not sure I have ever heard a contractor say that out loud! Communication was excellent and when it was time to install, Don and his team were promptly on-site the day and time he said they would be there. Installation was a breeze and everyone involved was professional, courteous, and had a good attitude. You can tell Don and his team are a well-oiled machine and that they have been in the business for a long time. I’m sure my bookcase project was a small job for DJ’s, but they took the time and care to make sure it was done right; it turned out exactly how I envisioned and I am beyond pleased with the final product!

Our first time to buy custom cabinets. Didn’t know where to start but I am an Engineer with 25 years in a STEM field - I know what a quality construction and process looks like. I cannot express how much we love the work Don, Steve, craftsmen, and install team did on our kitchen. Don and team conducted 2 site reviews to include a detailed measurement and CAD laydown. We had the opportunity to review, make changes, and make custom requests. Don’s been doing this for more than 20 years and he and Steve will help you with the 2-dozen details that you may not of thought about yet. He invited my wife and I to his fabrication building and showed us the cabinets during assembly. His carpentry process is pure-quality! Every cabinet is handmade, hand sanded, and hand assembled. Delivery and installation was flawless - Don, the owner was on site directing things. Don is moderately priced but worth every penny!

We had DJ's cabinets put in a Red Oak entertainment center in our media room in 2006. Don and his crew did an outstanding job. It’s ao beautiful unit. Over the years, we upgraded our TV unit from 70" to 75". Don modified the original frame to incorporate the new size. Again, outstanding work and frame matched beautifully with the 2006 unit. We have asked Don to now upgrade our wet bar cabinets with added shelves in the media room to match the look of the Entertainment Center he previously built for us. We had Don make our kitchen cabinets 5 years ago and we still love them! We just had him build our master bathroom cabinets and they are beautiful! I had requested a built-in fold away ironing board in a tower linen cabinet drawer. I shipped it to him and he installed it while building the cabinets. I am thrilled with it! Looked around at several cabinet builders for the remodel I was doing for my kitchen. A few things stood out in the whole process The initial price was in line with other builders but what stood out was he uses plywood boxes not higher grade particle. My walls were just studs. When the cabinets were installed it was a great fit which was a relief due to all the moving parts. He understood what I was asking made suggestions without being pushy. I am pleased with his suggestions and think it looks great. The install seemed to go pretty smoothly, the crew showed care to maintain quality. The cabinets turned out well, fit well. The sink fit perfectly into cabinet. Love the soft close drawers and doors. I will use them again for the master bath and closet when it's time for that. I highly recommend them.

I requested DJ cabinets to review my cabinet plans for suggestions and quote. I met Don at his shop and he reviewed my plans, offered suggestions, price point options, showed me the projects they were currently working on. Items that were standard in his build however increased price in the other bids I got were the slow close components and the solid frame of the box part of the cabinet. Don explained the different wood options that would most likely meet my hopeful outcome ( clean lines and continuous wood grains) Don gave me a quote and a expected install date. He met both of those. DJ custom cabinets kept me informed thru the build process, asking and confirming questions., The cabinets were beautiful Don and his install crew take great pride in every aspect of the cabinet build, they appreciate a happy customer and it tells as they truly are a joy to work with and produce a fantastic cabinet for a very competitive price.
