Our siding replacement was a job through an insurance claim due to storm damage. Doing It Right was one of the only contractors that would work with aluminum siding. They were very responsive, easy to work with, and professional. The price was very reasonable (for aluminum) and the work was done quickly. I would recommend Doing It Right.

Jon was VERY detailed and transparent in his description of the work and materials and he made it easy to select the materials for the project. I was then given a detailed 15 page proposal outlining all work, terms and conditions. I received a phone call within 2 weeks of returning the signed contract to schedule the work which began the following week. Work was postponed for a day due to weather (it was horrible weather last week) but communication was excellent and I was always notified of any changes to the schedule. They did a fantastic job working around the almost constant rain all week and the work performed was perfect. I'm an Engineer and tend to be more eccentric about workmanship but I can say with all honesty that they did an excellent job and their cleanup was perfect. I will definitely contact them again for other projects that I have planned. They were all VERY nice people and a pleasure to work with.

Doing It Right roofing was very professional. The estimate was very thorough. The work done was on time , workers showed up on time every day and worked through the day. They were very neat in cleaning up the area at the end of the day. The work was inspected at the end of the job. All in all this was a very excellent experience.

We chose Do It Right for a large roofing and siding job on our 103 yr old home. We chose them based on their experience and the thorough and forthright way in which they always communicated what and how they would do everything. They stayed on target with their work, completing the job in 3 weeks.Their cleanup and follow up procedures were also as promised. The work really transformed the look of our house with a minimum of disruption during the job. They conducted business in a professional, courteous, attentive manner.

Great company to deal with. The sales manager Rob came to my house and went through a 15 page explanation of what was to be done. I even had him to come back to answer some questions before I signed the contract. There was to be no added costs without my approval. He was professional and to the point. No pressure tactics. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive of the 3 bids I got. Great warranty, 50 Year shingles and the price was more than fair. There was NO money up front. I paid the next day when a Supervisor went over the job with me. I even went up on the roof to inspect myself with him. The crew showed up on time. They were professional and proficient. I had an easy roof. 8 man crew in and out in 5 hours. They cleaned up when done. Couldn't even tell they were there. I'm completely satisfied and would definitely hire again.

I chose 5 vendors, Doing It Right Roofing was my first estimate. Rob arrived on time and did a full walkaround the house and wrote up a very long but detailed estimate which I appreciated. We sat down and walked through every page, his recommendations, and points of emphasis. He answered all my questions politely and respectfully ensuring I had all information. It took about an hour. Every other vendor fell far short of this walk through and detail review. After the 3 day cancellation time, the project manager called and scheduled the work. The team finished another job early, so they called and asked to schedule my work earlier - which I was able to accommodate. The team arrived on time and immediately got to work like a well oiled machine. They took only two days to complete all work including the solar tube. When inside the house, they were careful of the hardwood floors and careful to keep the work contained. I am extremely happy with the work, and the 50 year warranty on the Owens Corning shingles - this will be my forever roof... I highly recommend Doing It Right Roofing.

Their service adviser/estimator arrived on time, was knowledgeable and informative and at the 1st meeting provided the estimate and a sample (nearly the same as the final) contract for our review and no pressure understanding. Every step of the way they promptly replied to my communications. Their estimate, while not the lowest, was certainly not the highest and was reasonable compared to others. A nice feature of this relationship is that I didn’t have to advance any deposit monies – however, it’s important to know that payment in-full is expected when the work is substantially complete. On the appointed day the workmen arrived at 8:00AM, worked methodically all day and, in my case, fully completed the old roof tear-off and new roof installation the same day. I was very impressed that they worked so fast, took great care to protect shrubbery and other things close to my house and most importantly they did a great job of picking up/removing debris created from their work. The roof itself looks great, its covered by a nice warranty and we are extremely happy with the work, their solid communications and the finished product. For financial reasons I couldn’t at this time also include the roof on the detached garage but needless to say I know who will get the work when I can move forward with that garage roof work.

Everything was completed on schedule. All messages and emails were answered promptly.

THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB. NO MONEY WAS PAID TILL THE JOB WAS COMPLETELY DONE TO MY SATISFACTION. HARDY BOARD IS DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH AND THE CREW KNEW HOW TO INSTALL IT CORRECTLY FOR THE WARRANTY. THE WORKERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND TRUSTWORTHY. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN AND WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND THEM.

The workers were timely and friendly. This is a corporate organization with numerous subcontractors and there is no ownership to quality. The salesman told us in no certain terms that their gutter system would work and be the best that we could buy. The workers when replacing one of the downspouts bent a regular piece of gutter to make an angle piece to connect to the drainage pipe looking really junky. I contacted the company ad was told that no premade fittings t make the angle required existed. It took me about 5 minutes to search the internet and provide a store that made numerous fittings that would work. Something that I think a professional roofing contractor would be aware of... they bought the fitting and replaced it. The contractor also damaged some existing fittings that were pointed out at inspection and had some measurement and cut issues with the downspouts, leaving the space between the downspout and fitting or they raised the fitting to make I look like there was not a problem. In addition, their gutters do not provide the correct slope to allow proper drainage of rain water. Their workers came out numerous times and made adjustments, but we still have the same problem. During the entire process, I never saw any of the workers use a level to make sure water would flow in the proper direction. We just cleaned the leaves out of the gutters for the fall and have standing puddles of water sitting in these gutters and there are a couple gutter hangers in the gutter that are not attached to the house. On a positive note, we get to look at water running over the gutters. So if you choose Doing It Right Roofing make sure you watch the entire project from beginning to end and question everything you think mat be wrong. You could also hire your own project engineer to monitor and ensure a good end product.

They were ok, lots of nails on the ground with cigarette butts. They also damaged my central air unit and do not tell me.

Ed the Salesman was low pressure, professional and explained the process in detail. I signed the contract and work began within a week. Work was completed the following week. This was no small job. Twenty two square with a steep pitch. The crew communicated with me throughout the process ( even sent me pictures of the work in progress). Customer satisfaction is a top priority with this company. I would not hesitate to use "Doing It Right"again.

great, little snow but they did a good job

When we finally decided it was time to replace our old roof, we shopped around with a few different roofing companies. Joe the salesperson came with a nice folder complete with their license, insurance information, and certificate of being a Platinum Preferred Company from Owens Corning. He also came with a detailed 15-20 page contract spelling out all of the details and we filled some in while he was on site and talking with him. He answered all of our questions and explained things we weren't familiar with and then presented us an offer which we were very happy with. We got a call about a week and a half later saying they could start on our roof and got an email with a detailed description of the whole process and contacts. The crew was supposed to come out the next day but we got a call saying they would push it back a day because there was rain but the materials were dropped off. The crew came out the next morning and looked over everything and due to the complexity with one side being very close to the neighbors as well as the steep pitch, the project manager sent out a more experienced crew. They came out the next morning and looked everything over, took measurements and even talked with our neighbors to let them know they'd be working on the roof and aplogized in advance for the noise. After that the crew was there every day promptly at 8 AM and worked for 6-7 hours each day. It took them longer than the sales guy said it would but it was understandable given some of the complexities with the roof as steeply pitched and close to the neighbors on one side. On the last day, they brought out an extra crew member and worked till nearly 8 PM and it was dark when they finished up. Unfortunately, the last day is when things got a little sloppy and there were some piece of debris on the neighbors roof as well as some tar on the neighbors brick wall so apologies were needed from the crew in the end. We also had an minor issue with one of the gutters not getting re-sealed on the end cap which required another trip out by the crew but it was resolved a few weeks later. Overall, it was a good experience and in the end, the price we were quoted was the final price we paid

They worked from start to finish, took their time to make it look perfect. The crew foreman was very nice and easy to talk to. I cannot think of one thing I would have liked to change, they handled everything. The end result is a beautiful roof. I cannot thank each member of their team enough.
