"When it comes to stamped/colored concrete jobs, we do our best to work closely with the customer to ensure their satisfaction. Maybe that's why we seem to be doing more and more stamped jobs each year. So far this year, half of our jobs have been decorative concrete. We are excited to hear that you are pleased. Thanks for the review. PS: We love that pattern you selected! We will be recommending it to future customers."
"The pleasure was all ours. It's amazing what a little concrete makeover can do in terms of adding curb appeal. Your project is a perfect example. The best of luck to you and your wife as you move into your new home, and thanks so much for the review."
"This review is a complete misrepresentation of the work that was done, as well as a complete exaggeration of any small issues that resulted from the construction. The work here was flawless, and we have the pictures available to prove it. At no point did we avoid calls or emails, and the conversations that took place between us and this particular customer are not accurately conveyed. At the end of the day, we feel strongly that this customer left this "revised" review in an effort to get our attention (when she already had it). The original review is a much more accurate representation. Impatience on behalf of the customer is what we attribute this terrible "revised" review to. It is most certainly not a result of the quality of our work. We are shocked at this review, and feel betrayed by the complete misrepresentation of our craftsmanship. We wish any future contractors the best of luck in satisfying this customer."
"It is true, your concrete was definitely thicker than anticipated. You just never know what is under existing concrete. We run into this situation quite often. But at the end of the day, it's nothing we can't handle. It was a pleasure working with you. We can't wait to come back out and provide you another bid for your retaining wall, as well as your driveway/walkway in the future. Thanks again for your business and we look forward to hearing from you!"
"We apologize for the lack of response and have every intention of making this right. Kevin was overwhelmed a bit while trying to run the company by himself. But as the new Business Manager I was excited to meet with you this week! I spoke with Kevin after visiting with you on Monday. We proposed you two solutions. One that would have us breaking up and re-pouring the problem areas AND re-pouring some additional patio space that we didn't work on the first time around. And one that would fix your problems without any additional work being done. Either option you chose is fine with us. We appreciate you being patient with us while we went through some changes and look forward to making this right!"
"Acquiring permits is never an exciting of fun part of a project. For this reason we do our best to try and take on the steps required to obtain them on for our customers. It usually takes a set of site plans and a little bit of planning. In the case of your project, it involved much more. Hiring a structural engineer, drawing site plans, submitting them to multiple different city departments, and running all over town for several weeks was required. But that's OK. Someone had to do it, and that's what we are here for. You guys were a pleasure to work with and were patient with us (and the city) throughout the entire process. As a result, all the work was completed to your satisfaction, as well as the city. In fact, throughout the process your neighbors were all stopping by in awe of all that you are doing and I think you may have raised the bar for the entire neighborhood! Despite the extra challenges required for the permits, your job was one of our favorites this year. You and your family are good people and easy to work with. We wish you the best of luck with your new storefront business and to attending the grand opening party!"
"Thank you (removed member name). We appreciate your feedback and enjoyed working with you!"
"Hello. My name is Nathan. I am the new Business Manager. I replaced Marcus shortly after your job was completed. But I have discussed your job (and your review) with our owner Kevin Domian. I would like to clarify a few things in order to provide our existing and future customers with our side of this story. First of all, this job was a $5,100 job (not $30,000). The stamped concrete patio that we were hired to install was executed flawlessly. Kevin worked with you to hand select the stamp texture and color of your new concrete patio. This element of the job was the bulk of what you hired us for. Your complaint stems from the 3-4 stairs that you elected us not to remove or replace. Instead, you asked us to paint the steps and match the color of the new stamped concrete. We are not painters. We are concrete contractors. We offered to paint your steps in an effort to be flexible and help you keep the cost of the project down. At no point did we (nor would we ever) suggest that any can of concrete paint would be an exact match when compared to a patio poured with liquid color mixed in. It is impossible. You are talking about two completely different products, as well as different manufacturers. One is mixed in wet concrete and set to dry. One is painted on existing concrete. We did our best to select a concrete paint color that would match the color we mixed in your new stamped patio. In fact, we still feel as though it was about as close as one could hope for. But to expect an identical match is just not realistic. Kevin was not working the day he brought his daughter onto the job site. He was simply checking in on the crew to make sure everything was going according to plan. He is a family man and happened to have his daughter with him. He has not returned your calls or texts because of the very allegations you listed in your review. We consider this job complete; and a job well done. If you do not like the color paint we used on the steps, we would recommend that you purchase a new can of paint and take another stab at matching the color you desire. If you want to take us to court for something as trivial as painted steps, we have pictures of a job well done and a signed contract to tell our side of the story."
"It was a pleasure working with you and your husband. Your job required us to tackle several different areas (front, back, side, etc) outside your home. We are happy to hear that you are pleased with all of the work that was done and are enjoying all of your new concrete! Take good care. Thanks again for your business and for taking the time to leave us a review!"
"Thanks so much for the review and honest feedback. We always do our best to be flexible when it comes to making adjustments on the fly. It can be difficult for customers to see everything and consider all options before we begin construction. Being flexible as a contractor is what allows people the opportunity to have fun when taking on these projects. Thanks also for your patience in allowing us to get to your project. We like to stay busy all year round. The summer months are usually pretty booked up. But when you hire us, we bring quality work at a valuable price. It’s usually worth the wait. In fact, I’ll be by there this week to give you an estimate on your asphalt driveway. We look forward to taking on yet another project for you this year!"
"Thank you for your business, and for sharing feedback with your fellow Angie’s List members. The pleasure was all ours! You’re professionalism and friendliness was very much appreciated. We are happy to hear you are satisfied and look forward to hearing from you with any future projects you may have."
"It was a pleasure working with you and your wife. We do our very best to try and work with people and give them a bid on their project; regardless of the size. Not everyone needs major construction. Sometimes people just need a couple random (or smaller) projects done that require concrete and/or asphalt work. To be able to help people wrap up these types of projects results in happy customers that may or may not be looking to hire us for larger projects in the future. We are happy to have been of service to you, and hear that you are satisfied with the entire process. Thanks again for your business!"
"It was a pleasure working with you. We too thought everything went well and are happy to hear you are satisfied with the work that was done. Thanks again for your understanding about those two box woods! There were so many of them, and they were so close to the new walkway. I know they guys did their very best to avoid shrub casualties. We appreciate your business, and please don’t hesitate to contact us with any work you may need done in the future."
"Thanks so much for the thorough and detailed review. It is always a pleasure doing work for customers that have a construction background, and the ability to notice all the details of a job that comes with it! We are thrilled to hear about how satisfied you and your family are with the new driveway. Thanks again and please keep us in mind for any future projects you may have."
