Excellent. I have been remodeling homes and businesses in California and Hawaii for 46 years. Don has been doing it for even longer, and he does the most excellent work, and his crew is top notch. They do everything expertly, but Don provides the knowledge and expertise to do it, right. He did things I didn't even consider, and it turned out perfectly. I only spent $15k, but Don added at least $50k to my property value... Thank you, Don & crew...

Don and his men did a good job. They workers followed COVID protocol and cleaned up each day. I think the price was fair, and my wife and I were happy with the results.

Don and his team are awesome. I bought an older home that needed a new water heater installed and old galvanized pipes removed. Don gave me very fair estimates, and despite some errors on my part making his team work a few extra hours, he didn't charge me more. He also informed me of several tax rebates that saved me over a 1000 bucks. He knows his stuff. His team was very friendly and they all were professional and punctual.

I'd had no hot water for a few days, in January. (1) Before we even met, Don advised me on heater options, had me text him photos of piping, and buy kit. (2) He figured this was a 2-day job. He prioritized getting the hot water flowing by the end of day one, and on day two he'd take care of the details. (3) It could have been a 3-4 day job, but he advised against unnecessary work. (4) Don tightens connections with hand tools, not indiscriminate power tools. He's been in the business long enough to know what tight feels like. (5) He was cooperative and even pro-active on documentation for rebates and warranty.

Everything went smoothly. Don came out and gave an estimate and installed the water heater 2 days later. He did a great job and would definitely use him again.

Don was great. We did not meet, everything was done over the phone and via email. He is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with. In several ways he went above and beyond all my expectations. I would definitely hire Don again. No hesitation.

Quite well. In my first call to him, Don asked essential questions about the issues and prior to coming out, did considerable homework about my partcular model. He did the maintenance descaling treatment throroughly. He then showed me on a diagram where the plumbing was never installed correctly, suggesting that this might be the reason the heater runs too much. While with me he called the manufacturer and talked to a master technician who verified the incorrect installation. He recommended that I contact the homebuilder to get it fixed, rather than charging me to fix it himself. Some days later he called just to check on things. While initially his manner seemed less attentive than I might have expected, in the end I came to really appreciate his knowledge, experience, and forthrightness. I recommend him highly.

CUSTOMER BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE DON LEITCH! Don Leitch of Don Leitch Construction was hired to remodel two bathrooms at my duplex. He overcharged me for several thousand dollars of unapproved repairs, and he FLOODED my entire house. The Flood was caused by a plumbing fixture he installed incorrectly and has resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in damage. The flood is also preventing my wife, infant, and me from being in the house at Christmas. This would have been my son’s first Christmas, and we now have to be away from home. Once Don Leitch admitted to flooding my house, he has not responded to any of my information requests, which have been by phone and via email. Don was very difficult to work with, performed poor quality work, and had inefficient and erratic communication skills. I strongly recommend not using him to perform any type of construction work at your house or any other property.

we had a walk-in tub installed. Don was very professional and friendly. his Dog Cairo was his sidekick. and a very nice. but big dog. the estimate was quick, and he explained things well. and UNLIKE the National chain. did not try to upsell. or claim FREE stuff was included. the work was started within a day of estimate.. and even with unforseen setbacks trying to do the electrical is was still done quickly.. his crew was friendly and kept the demo debris to a minimum.. it did take longer than expected. but it was complete in about 14 days.. and you can not tell where they had to access the electrical. we are very happy with the Tub, and his work.. LOCAL BUSINESS also kept money in our community.. for much less than the national brand. that left a sour taste. he was also kind to answer questions for our neighbor who was doing his own work.. you can't beat that type of "old school" friendliness ..

All of these jobs were done to perfection. We enjoy our walk-in shower, and are the tiles ever beautiful! When we have a quick question, Don will assist on the phone and stay on the phone with you as long as you need his assistance. Our neighbors have commented how great the pergolas look; he put them in place with incredible precision. Don is highly competent, reliable, and did all his jobs to our complete satisfaction. We don't have anything critical to say and we believe he would do a great job for all his customers. The phrase "we highly recommend him" totally applies to Don.

Weird! Constantly requesting payment because his workers we're from Santa Barbara and he had to ”buy their lunch and put them up for the nights they were here.” Told him ”not my problem” I felt like an ATM machine. Had to call him back to finish important things like calling and sealing plumbing. Toilet moved when sat on. Still there is paint that needs to be finished. Purchased very expensive tile and unsure if the correct material was used. Glass tile does not show beautiful reflections. Dull looking. I could not wait to have this contractor leave. I still have one more bathroom to remodel. Looking forward to finding a contractor in this area who will renew my faith of hiring blue collar.

the bathrooms were gutted and remodeled from scratch. I asked for the shower heads to be raised. he did not. he plumbed the shower valve incorrectly which results in water flowing out the shower head when you fill the tub. I specifically asked for one-piece, dual flush toilets. in the upstairs he installed a one-piece, single flush toilet. I told, in writing, the downstairs bath would have a one-piece dual flush toilet. he ordered the same toilet as upstairs. he actually seemed annoyed when I told him he would not be allowed to install it. he installed a two-piece, dual flush toilet. again, not what I asked for. the purpose for the remodels was water damage from the upstairs ruining the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. after quoting the job, he charged me extra for the ceiling repair. I have a visible seam across the ceiling. I asked for solid core, pre-hung doors. I don't know what he did when he installed the one downstairs, but it is hard to close and hard to open. our house is covered in dust. we're going to have to hire a cleaning company. Don used our broom to clean up in my driveway. Don stole several boxes of left over tile and the broom. he charged me for removal of construction trash and left construction trash for me to dispose of. I initially thought he did a wonderful job on the vent fans I asked him to install. it was his idea to add the humidity switch. it turns the fan on automatically when the humidity rises due to taking a shower and runs until the humidity comes down. in the upstairs bath, he wired the humidity switch to turn on the light , not the fan. I also asked Don to center the vanity light on the sink. he didn't. the floor tiles in the upstairs bath were difficult to remove and roughed up the sub floor. Don installed a 1/4" plywood sheet on top of the subfloor to smooth it out and placed a cement board on top of that. this was going to result in a step up going into the bathroom and Don thought that was ok. he only removed the plywood sheet when I insisted. Don lost the striker plate for the upstairs door jamb so I bought extras. Don didn't install them but he did take them. I also bought door stops. I installed one upstairs. Don took the other one. I was Dons idea to install a flush clean-out access in the wall. he charged me for one and I saw it in the house, but he didn't install it. he took that too.

Don is professional, reliable, fairly priced and easy to reach. He and his crew did a wonderful job installing a new tankless water heater in my home. Would highly recommend him.
