Tim and his team were GREAT!! They were always on time and extremely professional. I have 3 dogs that they worked around and never complained. I even have a blind dog and a swimming pool. They made sure the gates stayed closed and the blind dog stayed dry. This is a great company to work with. My yard has never looked better. <br />

Work went very smoothly. Tim Dooling and the Augustine Franco (the specialist subcontractors) we're very professional, courteous, and responsive. Everything they said they would do was done very well and on time, exactly as planned. It was a delight to work with these folks! <br /> <br /> <br />

Before hiring Dooling Landscape Service, I requested bids from two other landscapers and Dooling seemed like the best deal. Tim and his team completely transformed out front yard and I could not be more pleased. I enjoyed working with Tim. He is very knowledgeable about plants/trees and does nice layout work. Also, I had some specific requests for the job and Tim accommodated these requests. <br /> Regarding responsiveness... For the initial meeting, it was very easy to set up the appointment. Scheduling the job start date was little bit challenging, but that is because Tim is very busy (which I take to be a good sign). Recently, I needed to contact him with a question about the trees that had been planted several months ago and he was very responsive. I would definitely work with Tim again on any other landscaping projects.  <br />

Tim Dooling ,the owner coordinated the entire process with his experienced crew members.I was very satisfied with the results.Tim is a delight to work with and his staff reflect a positive attitude which are qualities hard to find in the landscaping industry.I certainly would recommend his services but with one caveat,namely, he is hard to get ahold of.

In the beginning things went ok.  But the drip system was installed in such a way that the roots were not getting the correct water, so the plants died.   Needed to have Mr. Dooling come out to see what he could do to fix things.  He finally came out one more time and was going to get back to me with cost of  other plants and some clean up.  I have not heard back.  When I reach out, I get no response.   As a result, I would never hire him again and certainly would not recommend him.  I have to hire another yard care person to fix the mess.  I would have expected the work to be guaranteed and if the drip system needed adjusting, that would be done.  It's not like I was not going to pay for other services to be done.  But I'm finished trying to get him to respond. He is not someone I'd hire again due to his unresponsiveness. <br />

<p>Dooling Landscape is the best!  Mr. Dooling came out to the house a few times before the work began and was always prompt and friendly.  The work was done within three days. They cleaned up behind themselves and things looked even better than when they started.  They even set the automatic timer for me.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>After the work was complete, Mr. Dooling came back out to make sure everything was in order and to see if we had any questions.  It is without hesitation that I would recommend Dooling Landscape.  In fact, we're considering a re-vamp of the back yard.   Mr. Dooling will be our first call.</p> <br />

<p>It was very easy to work with Tim.  While we provided the designs, it was an interactive discussion of what we wanted. Relying on Dooling's experience and expertise, we made modifications to some of our plans. He provided a detailed cost proposal with each task individually priced.  </p> <p>First installed was 2 paver pads totaling 300 sq ft: larger sitting area and smaller one for the grill.  A concrete perimeter is used to hold down the outside pavers and keep everything together.  Below the pavers is 4 inches of base rock and an inch of sand.  After install, the pavers were sealed.</p> <p>Next in were sprinkler runs.  We had 3 zones installed, all on drip irrigation.  One run is about 30 feet, while the longest is about 125 ft to get to the furthest corner of the yard. One zone feeds raised vegetable beds. The vegetable beds were filled with planters soil.</p> <p>Off the patio made of pavers we had paths of decomposed granite installed.  This involved digging out the soil so that a base rock could be installed and then over that the decomposed granite was tamped down and then a stabilizer was sprayed into it.  The stabilizer creates a semi-permanent crust so that it doesn't feel like sand when you walk on it.</p> <p>Last task was to clear out two areas of the yard to install 6 yards of gold-colored pea gravel.  Task included removing weeds, some bushes, and roots from nearby trees.</p> <p>We also had Dooling plant a 4x4 post near the fence so that we can string lights to it from the house.  </p> <br />

Tim was very professional and walked me through everything.  He made what I thought was going to be an arduous process very smooth and simple.  Tim was very honest and straight forward with his planning.  He presented me with a detailed quote and pricing for everything.  He presented me with his licensing and insurance upon request early in the negotiations.  His crew were very competent and worked very hard to make the job come along quickly and easily.  Me being a new homeowner I was not used to living in a space under construction and Tim's crew was very good at making sure everything was reasonably straightened up so I do not have to trip over equipment or fall into trenches.  The only snags we hit involved uncovering some old piping that needed to be cleaned up.  Tim was very helpful in assisting me how to decide to solve the issue and make everything new again.  I did not get a chance to finish everything I wanted to do but I was able to complete the first phase successfully.  I look forward to hiring Tim to help with future projects as I can afford them!

They are an Angie’s List supplier and they were fantastic.  I would recommend them to anyone.  They were extremely knowledgeable about horticulture and plants.  They provided really high quality work. He had all of his own workers, so that was kind of nice. They worked hard all day for two weeks and it was great.  The finished product was beautiful.  It was fantastic and it was better than I had expected.  They made sure to do stuff right even in places where you would not see it in terms of how he built some planting beds for us. I felt like he valued his quality of his work.  There were a few things that were wrong and they fixed them without questions.  So everything was great.  I would definitely use them again in the future.

We covered everything in detail and set an appointment for us to review everything with Gustavo so that we would all be on the same page. The project started the very next day.</p> <p>The job took 3 days for 2 guys. I was amazed at how hard these guys worked. They showed up promptly everyday and immediately went to work. Gustavo meticulously performed every task, one right after the other and completed the work efficiently, checking to make sure that everything was working correctly. I purchased this 1 acre property a year ago and had not found ANYONE who would check the complete system over the entire property and replace all non-working pieces with new equipment with the knowledge and expertise that Gustavo displayed.</p> <p>The day after completion, I met with Tim to go over all the work done. The back yard had been transformed into a gorgeous landscape. Tim Presented me with an ITEMIZED list of parts and labor. The price was exceptional for the quality and proficiency of the work. I have additional landscaping projects for the future. THESE GUYS ARE KEEPERS !!!!</p> <br />

Tim turned our formerly ragged and neglected little front yard into the showplace of the neighborhood! Our dream was to have a rainbow of plants throughout the seasons and to put as many as we could have in a yard with two large, shady oak trees. We also wanted to hide a neighbor's bordering dog fence, have a lawn put in under the oak trees and have a watering system installed. Because Tim didn't immediately respond to our Angie's List email, I thought he might be too busy to take us on, but luckily he had only delayed contacting us because he couldn't give us his full attention until the following week. <br /> When Tim came out to our house, he was extremely responsive to our ideas, never forcing his expertise on us. Tim looked at the sketches we had worked up and we spoke for about 45 minutes, then Tim went outside to survey and measure. When he came back in he had written up a detailed proposal and a quote for our job. He said his team could start the following week and then he invited us to meet him the following day at a huge nursery to pick out plants. <br /> Fast forward two weeks. The workmen did a superb job and Tim's design for the space totally worked. Tim kept in constant contact to answer questions and to make sure we knew what was happening, and our yard is the latest buzz of the neighborhood! Tomorrow he'll be providing us with a plant map so we can learn all the names of our new plants and he'll show us what we need to know to about the very sophisticated, but easy to operate, sprinkler system.   <br /> If I can attach pictures to this review I will, but if you want to see the result just drive by our place in the daytime. We plan to do the back yard once we have saved some money and won't consider working with anyone but Dooling! <br /> <br /> <br />

Things I liked:  the owner came out to give the estimate *with* the guy who would later do the work.  Good way to make sure everything got communicated well.  Then, when the work was being done the owner came back out to check on the job and make sure all was okay.  They made good suggestions on sort of sprinkler heads we should replace our old ones with, the new ones use less water (saves us $$$) and are more reliable.   <br /> I really don't have a price to compare against, so I picked "fair" price above because we got what we agreed to.  I'm not implying they are either cheaper or more expensive than usual (I just don't know). <br /> One reason we picked them is because we want more yardwork done in the future, and we were treating this as a test run for the vendor (they do lots more than sprinklers).  I do expect we'll be calling them back for additional work in the near future. <br />

This job went great. Tim and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Tim called within a day of my request for a quote. He came right out and looked over our yard and what we wanted. He took measurements and gave some suggestions. Tim is very knowledgeable and really gave me a comfortable feeling. He set us up right away, and his crew was out within a couple of days to start the job. The crew was very professional, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. After 3 days, the sprinklers were in and the SOD was installed, wow, my yard looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Dooling Landscape and even though his quote was a little higher than others I had received, I would definitely hire Tim again. <br />

Tim Dooling and his crew did a fantastic job landscaping my front and back yard.  It had been neglected for over 15 years with overgrown plants, weeds, and an aging patio.  Tim did a complete demolition of the yards and transformed it into a eye appealing landscape that I can be proud of.  Tim offered his expertise in the layout and style, and personally accompanied me on selecting the plants appropriate to complement the yard.  He suggested a lighting system that I had not originally considered, but now I'm very happy with how it highlights the yard at night.  He also refurbished my paver patio, and was able to clean and reuse the existing pavers into a new pattern that makes the patio look brand new.  This saved me quite a bit of money from buying new pavers.  <br /> During the landscaping many of my neighbors would come by to watch the work and were impressed with the transformation. <br />   <br /> Even when there were slight issues with some installed sod that didn't survive the heat, Tim promptly replaced the dead areas.  He was very good in returning my calls and staying in contact to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. <br /> I would recommend him highly and would use him again for any future landscaping needs.

We are very pleased with our new lawn. Tim's quote was neither the highest or lowest. We were impressed with Tim's knowledge. Some contractors came in and out and just gave us a quote. Tim took his time and asked questions. In return we had more questions. Things we had not thought of. On the first day of work and everyday after, his crew were polite and professional. Very hard working. Our entire neighborhood is just buzzing on how great our lawn looks. We would definitely hire them again. <br />

Today's work was the first part of several landscaping projects that Tim is undertaking for me. This part was front yard work only. I am totally happy with the result and look. Tim advised planting dwarf sweet pea plants in the parkway area between curb and sidewalk because they bloom much of the year, are colorful, and only grow to  be 3 ft. tall & 3 ft. wide. He advised against putting mulch or wood chips of any kind around the plants because they can't be raked - very practical and experienced insight for those with yard crews. <br /> Tim was very quick to come out for an initial estimate, but several weeks lapsed before I could schedule the work with him. In fairness, he is a very busy guy and this summer (2013) is the high season for all contractors. Apart from knowing his stuff with plants and landscaping, he is delight to deal with in person - honest, direct, willing to save you $$, and obviously in love with his profession (charismatic). And he has talented, dedicated people working with him. <br />

We had a lien put on our house a while back. We had a situation where we had pavers on one part of it and the landscaping. We were just very careful and we wanted to have two contracts. He really focused on the scenario of getting one contract. I asked him to please water the ground and said there will be sink holes. I saw his other work and I didn’t want it to happen to my yard. I am not really happy with how he did it.

One: He's got a degree in horticultural design and put a beautiful design together. Two: He carefully selected plants that are low maintenance that will be flowering all year so there will be some color all year round. Three: He's got a team of ten people. His workers were very professional an diligent. Four: When he gave me the estimate he actually went out to the truck after he visited my place, spent a half hour, and put together a very legible and very detailed estimate of what everything costs and brought it to me in real time instead of going home and giving me the estimate a week later. Five: Very cheerful and responsive to my queries. Very happy.

Tim has a good eye for landscape architecture - how to balance lawn shape, levels of ground, and sizes/shapes of pants.  We are pleased with the project outcome.  Pricing is fair for services rendered, and we think the final garden will look good as it grows in.   <br /> a) Irrigation system - valves were replaced & fun ction OK, heads were relocated so they don't spray fence or house;  the team successfully rerouted a sprinkler line to detour around some tree roots.  Our landscape plan was not complete when the irrigation contract was written, so we had to do bring Dooling landscape back to do some adjustments  when two (of about) 20 plants were being underwatered.  This repair was done promptly. <br /> b)  Tim recommended his favorite nurseries to us so we could tour and check out his plant recommendations. He seems to have a  repertiore of favorite plants that are safe choices.  Our preferences were to use some less common  plants - so we were on our own when choosing , researching, and procuring plants that were "off list".  Tim was able to get some of these from his suppliers; we had to locate the other specimens ourselves and do the online research.    <br /> Clay soil was successfully amended to improve drainage and Tim appropriately used mounds to improve drainage for plants that have shallow root systems. <br /> c)  Summary: the labor is competent, timeliness is OK;  plant selection consulting & design had to be done mostly on our own. <br /> <br /> <br />

He is really wonderful. He is very straightforward and honest guy who has done really good work. He has followed through. He has done everything I've asked him to do. I trust him. I just feel that they are just very honest and trustworthy.
