He did excellent job. He knew exactly how to fix it, resurface, he match the paint perfectly. Very nicely, quickly and neatly No problem at all.

The owner of Douglas painting came out exactly when he said he would and repaired and painted the ceiling. You can't tell that there was any damage. I highly recommend Douglas Painting for any of your painting needs.

The quality and dependability was good. However. entire house was a mess from the plaster mix. And the walls and some ceilings have it slung all over.

I would like to have really given Mr. Douglas and his son rave reviews. But, after the shoddy work they did I have no praise for them. I get this was a "discount" job, but have some pride in your work. First of all, I talked to Mr. Douglas three times and answered the same questions each time before the appointment. The man is of advanced age, I can maybe look past some absent mindedness. But, the work was completely unsatisfactory! Even where they started painting, areas are missing paint, so no excuse for time or needing a second coat. Speaking of time, the eight hour special is cumulative according to how many people are painting. Two people x four hours = eight hours. I wouldn't have even cared if they only painted two walls. If they had done a good job I would have hired them to do more. Instead, uneven painting and whole spots unpainted was their method of gaining my further patronage. I would have expected work like this from some transient; but, not a legitimate professional painter. So, I cannot recommend them. I would advise you stay away from their Angie's list special. Go with another painter even if you do have to pay a bit more. You will be better satisfied. Now we are stuck with having to repaint the mess they left us, and contemplating the old adage "Buyer Beware!"

Job completed to our satisfaction

I needed to give follow-up to schedule the date for the job. Angie's didn't have my correct phone number, so I never received a call from the company to schedule the service, my fault (phone # has been changed), but Mr. Douglas never reached out to inform they couldn't reach me. I called Douglas Painters directly and schedule the service, but cancelled later due to traveling. Mr. Douglas was supposed to call me to give me alternate days, but didn't receive a call so I had to call them to schedule the service again, and when he finally came for service, he wasn't prepared and needed to re-schedule as he understood the job was for an inside paint job, when the offer was for an outside paint job. He was a little bit lost... I guess the service is based on the amount you pay. I would say it was a fair job, but not excellent. Mr. Douglas himself does the service with a helper. Lesson learned is that for deals like this one; $199.00 for 8 hrs. of service, you better have the areas clean and ready for paint, because they don't do it. They will paint right on top of dust, spider webs, etc.

The quality of the work was ok but i was very disappointed with their quality of hygiene and cleanness . They used the attached toilet of the bedroom and left it dirty which I was shocked to see . They left wash sink dirty and did not vacuum or clean the room completely after they finished the work. I will not consider them for any future work nor recommend them.

Nice-looking result at a fair price.

Well but needed another coat on a few areas. In their defense it was a block of time job but the areas were so small that I would think that they would finish them while they were at it. Just my opinion though. They were great just needed a little more.

They did a good job but their time was up before they finished. They didn't offer extra time or money to finish. They did a good job on the drywall.

It went reasonably well. They did kinda scoot out of here a little bit quick right at the end, but they did a reasonably good job overall. They did good work, right at the end of it they had another job they needed to get to and they had spent the 4 hours. They left just a little bit of wallpaper to take off in one of the bathrooms, but it wasn't a big deal. They did like 95% of it or something. Other than that, that would be my only negative comment. They price was reasonable and they did a really good job. They came when they were supposed to come and worked diligently. They were here when they were supposed to be. The guy was very informative, he told me what he was doing and was easy to talk to. They did a pretty good job in the time frame they were here and I would probably use them again.

They did a good job removing wallpaper without damaging the Sheetrock like I did when I removed paper myself. They repaired the Sheetrock in the garage where we hit it with the car. Blends right in.

Byron arrived on time as we agreed to last week. He did the hole patch, first then tape and bed. Finish with texture and completed on time in exactly 4 hours.

It went very well. Byron was very nice. He and his assistant were very professional.
