Awesome job. Completed making the new sheers around my tight schedule. Very professional and on time installation. Dry cleaned and pressed existing draperies and valance back to their original look. Also dry-cleaned dinning room seat fabric back to original look even with red stains on cream color fabric. Very pleased and would highly recommend!

Workmanship was good initially but after the drapes dried I noticed they missed several areas of dirt that I had to re-do myself. I think it was a very pricey for what was done as they have a $250 minimum and I only had one large drapery done. In the case of just needed one large drape done its tough on the wallet. Sounds like its a better deal if you have multiple done at the same time. My appointment was between 1pm & 2 pm They showed up late at 210pm. and advised they were coming from a large job. NO PHONE CALL. I don't feel this was worth the money and time I had to waste sitting around and then having to spot clean the item after. No discount on price for being late either. I should have just done it myself. Would not repeat.

Joy and one other lady arrived on time, got the required equipment and materials from their car and got right to work. They placed sheets on the floor under the curtains and plastic behind them. Our curtains hadn’t been professionally cleaned since being hung 8+ years ago. The sheers looked dull and dingy and so did the valances. After several hours, they looked clean and bright again. Just like new! It’s not a particularly noisy process. Just the sound of a vacuum cleaner. The chemicals used had a nice, fresh smell that lasted into the evening, then disappeared. The price is NOT inexpensive but it IS worth every penny to have had our window coverings cleaned in our home—no uninstalling and reinstalling—in just a few hours. My only criticism is very minor. It’s that some water/fluid remained on the floor where the cleaning took place. I had to clean it up vs Joy or her helper ensuring everything was nice and dry the way they found it. I highly recommend Drapes of Joy for your window treatment cleaning. I hope Joy still offers this service when we are ready to have our window treatments cleaned again.

Joy did a great job. Unfortunately she couldn't get all the stains out but I was surprised at how clean she did get it, and really the stain that still remains most people wouldn't see unless I point it out. I wouldn't hesitate to bring her back.

Joy was punctual and reliable. I had engaged a company last fall called Pampered Windows who were scam artists, did not complete the job and left the curtains in shambles. They put up a navy blue fringe which did not match and installed curtains that were not sewn together & in an incorrect color. They ran off with a $1300 deposit and never returned in spite of repeated calls. They maxed out my Visa by incurring a monthly charge of $750. Luckily, the bank company was able to reverse the monthly charge.My sister recommended Angie's List and I found Drapes of Joy after reading her reviews. We started over with new fabric in silk moire from Calico Corners and an expensive tassel fringe from Robert Allen. It was well worth the expense to match the existing curtains in the room. Joy was professional and an expert seamstress who measured perfectly and installed without a hitch. The curtains are so beautiful and Joy is an expert seamstress who I highly recommend.

Drapes of Joy recently cleaned all the draperies in my home and I am very pleased with the job. Not only are they clean but they look like newer as a result. I also had a new window treatment installed and needed a pole cut down which they easily completed and rehung in its new spot. I highly recommend Drapes of Joy - they did a professional job, were neat and clean and protected my belongings as they did their work.

We are thrilled with how everything looks. This is our first time using a professional service for draperies and it is well worth the cost. Since this was our first home, we wanted to put in the time and effort to make it our own and you can't achieve that by going to Bed, Bath & Beyond for window treatments (BBBY has other purposes). The workmanship is top notch and these are window treatments that will last a long time. Drapes add a nice touch to the room as well as the overall decor of the home. We did a lot to the house since moving in and this was a nice treat; it finally feels like home. I definitely recommend Drapes of Joy to anyone who is seeking window treatments.

Joy was referred to me while I was trying to find an upholstery cleaner for my velvet sofa and chair. Because the fabric is velvet, I needed someone who used dry cleaning method. I called and left a message and she responded promptly. The appointment was set for the following week and she arrived with an assistant on time. When they were finished, the sofa and chair looked brand new! <br>I highly recommend Drapes of Joy for upholstery cleaning.

Joy and her associate Josie were both wonderful to work with on our project. They were responsive and punctual, knowledgeable about different options for our window treatments, helpful in advising us on narrowing down selections, and very patient throughout the process as we reviewed many different fabric options for our drapes over a number of weeks. UPDATE: Joy reached out to me to address my concerns. She also upgraded the lift systems at no additional cost to me. <br /> <br /> *** <br /> <br /> We had two meetings at my house, one to pick fabrics and another to choose hardware. Joy came by a third time to double-check measurements. <br /> <br /> Drapes of Joy has many fabrics to choose from and Joy and Lorraine are very friendly and personable. <br /> <br /> Regrets: <br /> I wish we would have discussed options for lift systems when placing the order; I assumed that we were getting continuous loop chain lifts but received standard cord lifts due to lack of communication. Did not realize this misunderstanding until roman shades were already installed and they were asking me where to drill the cord frog. <br /> <br /> Drapery panel lengths are visibly uneven (update: Joy is helping me to fix this). <br /> <br /> They cannot give you pricing when selecting fabrics/styles/hardware. Unlike larger businesses (i.e. smith+noble), they require a non-refundable deposit to work with them (but it is applied towards your drapery). However, the flip side is that they have many fabrics to work with. <br /> <br /> I paid more for the drapes than I would have ordering them myself online, but you are paying for their time and expertise. <br /> <br /> I was disappointed that the drapery wasn't exactly right (especially since I paid more for them than I would doing it myself), but I am satisfied that Joy reached out to me to fix the problems that can be fixed.

As far as pricing goes, there are many details when pricing custom window treatments. Lorraine had 2 meetings with you and your husband, showing you quite a few fabrics and hardware selections. There is no way for us to know on the spot how much a particular fabric is. If the price was unreasonable to you, I wished you would have said something to compare other fabrics. The fabric you chose was moderately priced. You have very long windows, especially in the living room and you were purchasing two types of window treatments on four windows, draperies and roman shades on each window. I personally was at your home for a third meeting to re-measure and go over details. At that time you said the roman shades would be down most of the time. I didn't feel it was necessary to up-charge you for a continuous cord, since the windows were narrow, and we were using sheer linen. As far as drilling holes in your wood, it is a government child safety regulation, that the cord be attached to the wall, so even the continuous cord tensioner would have been drilled into the wood. We spent 4 1/2 hours at your home installing to make sure you were pleased. I did not notice different lengths, but this could be an easy adjustment. We would not expect any of our clients to settle for uneven hems. I wish you would have taken a minute to call me. I would appreciate the opportunity to satisfy you. Please call me at 215-283-2866"

The cleaning itself was ok, but I thought it was a little pricey. I have balloon drapes which were sagging slightly in the middle. They needed a little piece to fix it, but they told me that they did not have the piece on their truck. I had emailed the owner to inquire about it, as my designer had told me that the company should have had the piece, but she never responded to me. I thought for the price I paid, that she would at least follow up with me.

Joy promptly replied to my original email inquiry, set a date and we met for the initial consultation. I really needed shades right away, but at the 1st appointment, she brought fabric and pattern samples so we had to make another appointment to meet about the shades. At the 2nd meeting, Joy had a good grasp of the look I was going for and what my limitations were with cats in the house that are not declawed (no drapes for me ) I was able to quickly narrow down the best shade design and Joy's design experience helped me to select the best color, I would have gone too light. She also brought memo boards to the 2nd meeting of the fabrics that I had selected previously so that I could get a better idea of how this would look and to use it to select the correct color for the shades I was purchasing. Joy is friendly, professional and has great ideas for design. She promised I'd have my shades installed in time for Christmas and she was right! The installation took about 30 mins for 9 shades on casement windows. Her installer was also professional, neat and worked quickly to get the job done. They even put up with my curious cats! I love the way the windows look now with the cordless pleated shades and I can not wait until we complete the next step, adding fabric valances above both windows. I would use Joy again and would recommend her and her services to my friends and family. <br />
