"This woman is a self centered liar. She told us she couldn't get local contractors out there because she was so far out in the country area. Her statement about comparable contractors was a lie to either us or on this review, We were driving over 100 miles per day round trip and made it clear we don't travel this far for small jobs. We were called out for a basement remodel and a few changes to the kitchen. On these jobs we stay in a hotel close to the job site but these jobs normally take 3 to 4 months. After working for her and reading this review we know why she can't get local contractors. The price changing is not as she expressed, she changed her mind daily on what she wanted, she continuously had contractors coming out rebidding work she had agreed to give us. The first estimate was over $80,000 which included a basement to being cut down to a final cost for work done being slightly over $3,000. Sounds like $75,000 worth of mind changing to me. This is the type of person that dangles the basement carrot and grabs it away to get what they want. She's pretty much clueless on construction, want's to make decisions but take no responsibility for bad decisions made. We suggested while replacing counter tops and new sink to install a new disposal. She refused so we were able to use existing plumbing to install her extra deep farm sink. This plumbing probably had to be replace to fit a new disposal in at a later date. After spending a half day with her and our lasers trying to explain the fixed length pendent fixtures she ordered on the internet to hang over the bar would not work with different ceiling heights and hang level. She may be educated, but no common sense. The day we had scheduled to paint was on Wednesday, this was on a Monday afternoon that she informed us that she had a painter coming on Tuesday to give another estimate and would let us know Tuesday evening. Our finish painter had cancelled her cancer doctors appointment on Monday morning to be available on Wednesday to paint. We should have been given more notice. At this point we came to the agreement with her to back out the money for hanging the pendants and the painting and agreed on a price and called our part of the job concluded. She agreed to mail the final payment and when it arrived she had held an additional $275 out of the check because it would make her Happy, it was not worth $275 to ever deal with this woman again. CONTRACTORS BE AWARE::"
"We are displeased with Angies list which we pay $360 per month for advertising. The reason being is that we have been in litigation with the [member name removed] to receive our final payment for the work performed. .We asked Angie’s list to hold off with posting the [member name removed] review until litigation was over. We have waited for over a year to place a FAIR response . We have now won our suit against the [member name removed] and justly so. Now we hope Angie’s list will take the position of holding reviews about contractors that are in litigation until a judgement has been made. INNOCENT until proven guilty. We were informed that [member name removed] review was property of [member name removed]. We thought that someone who has the position Manager of Distribution at Northside Hospital, Atlanta would be more ethical than trying to take advantage of small contractors by not paying his balance due. We would love to post this on the shared with neighbors but have more class. We are a small company who even the [member name removed] own team said quality was never an issue. This is the first time since we have been with Angies list that anyone we have done work for has not had a positive review for us. Thank you for reading this and for considering us for your work when you want real quality."
