D & R showed up on time and finished the work faster than expected. The two gentlemen that completed the work were courteous and professional. It was a pleasure to have them work on my home and I would hire them again.

Rusty and his son did an amazing job! We are just moving into our home and needed some blinds hung fans put up and a TV hung up. They came promptly and we're very professional. We will be hiring them for future projects!

There was quite a lot of work to be done in the bathrooms, as our house was built in the 1980's, so they needed to be completely redone. Rusty's work was excellent: the tile was laid very straight, with even grout lines, plumbing was done well, cabinets installed correctly, etc. Rusty ran into some places where the original work had been done poorly. He was able to correct all of those issues.

Thank you again to Rusty at D&R Home Services! We absolutely love our new kitchen! We purchased an older cabin, seemed to have a lot of do-it-yourself things done to it, including the kitchen. The cabinets were impractical, there was ONE drawer in the entire kitchen- crazy. Not a good setup at all. Rusty came up with a perfect layout with so much more cabinet storage and counter space than we thought possible (and drawers galore)! It truly is amazing as it fit in the same footprint as the previous layout. I will need to come back here and add a photo- it's absolutely beautiful! He was very conscientious of our budget and it all worked out perfectly! Again, we would not hesitate to recommend Rusty at D&R Home Services and we would definitely use his services again when needed.

I cannot say enough good things about D&R Home Services. Rusty and his crew are professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, and friendly. The quote given prior to services being done was the price for the job at the end, even though some of the work changed (some added some taken away). Rusty kept us informed throughout the entire process, and he was up front about cost and time. One thing that stood out to my husband especially, was how we were always able to get a hold of Rusty. If he was available, he answered his phone, if not, he got back to us asap.. Highly recommend! Just please wait until he finishes our kitchen. :)

It went very well. Bill is a craftsman--we asked for the shower to be tiled in a diamond pattern rather than horizontal. This involves significantly more work and planning. They did a great job--we love the shower. Most importantly to us, they brought creativity and thought to the job, pointing out issues we hadn't thought about, that greatly improved the final result.

It was horrible. Their quotes were pretty much in line with other people in the area but then once we really got in to into it they hiked their prices and they were doubled what anyone else was. And then after they did the work I ended up having to call a different electrician, a different plumber to come in and fix the work that they did.
Response from D&R Home Services Inc
"This woman is a self centered liar. She told us she couldn't get local contractors out there because she was so far out in the country area. Her statement about comparable contractors was a lie to either us or on this review, We were driving over 100 miles per day round trip and made it clear we don't travel this far for small jobs. We were called out for a basement remodel and a few changes to the kitchen. On these jobs we stay in a hotel close to the job site but these jobs normally take 3 to 4 months. After working for her and reading this review we know why she can't get local contractors. The price changing is not as she expressed, she changed her mind daily on what she wanted, she continuously had contractors coming out rebidding work she had agreed to give us. The first estimate was over $80,000 which included a basement to being cut down to a final cost for work done being slightly over $3,000. Sounds like $75,000 worth of mind changing to me. This is the type of person that dangles the basement carrot and grabs it away to get what they want. She's pretty much clueless on construction, want's to make decisions but take no responsibility for bad decisions made. We suggested while replacing counter tops and new sink to install a new disposal. She refused so we were able to use existing plumbing to install her extra deep farm sink. This plumbing probably had to be replace to fit a new disposal in at a later date. After spending a half day with her and our lasers trying to explain the fixed length pendent fixtures she ordered on the internet to hang over the bar would not work with different ceiling heights and hang level. She may be educated, but no common sense. The day we had scheduled to paint was on Wednesday, this was on a Monday afternoon that she informed us that she had a painter coming on Tuesday to give another estimate and would let us know Tuesday evening. Our finish painter had cancelled her cancer doctors appointment on Monday morning to be available on Wednesday to paint. We should have been given more notice. At this point we came to the agreement with her to back out the money for hanging the pendants and the painting and agreed on a price and called our part of the job concluded. She agreed to mail the final payment and when it arrived she had held an additional $275 out of the check because it would make her Happy, it was not worth $275 to ever deal with this woman again. CONTRACTORS BE AWARE::"

Rusty and Bill are fantastic!!! They came out right away and gave us a quote to lower our vaulted ceiling to a 9ft ceiling. They were not the least expensive nor the most. I chose them because they were prompt, had great vision and just all around good guys. I have some future work around the house needing completed and would not hesitate to have them back. Love, love, love these guys. Would highly recommend them.

Love these guys. We had a major remodel of our master bath to do and they guided us through the entire process. We chose them primarily based on 3 factors. First - they came out almost immediately when we called them the first time and patiently talked us through options when we were still at a very early stage - really just starting to think about thinking about remodeling - and gave us so much to think about. We were thinking about doing a steam shower and they were up front about the fact that they hadn't tried that yet, but they'd look into it and they followed up in the next few days with a few options we should consider, which was really above and beyond based on what we expected. Second - their quote was the most comprehensive of the ones we received. The others all had major caveats - exclusions and items pending based on what the electrician might say or the plumber might say - they didn't want to commit to anything even close enough to giving us a sense of what our overall cost could be to make us comfortable. Bill and Randy gave us a very fair quote - they did have a few times with a price range depending on some choices we would need to make that couldn't be nailed down until we made them, but that's fair. The difference is that between them, they planned to do all the work so they didn't have to defer to what a third party might want to charge. I liked that we would be dealing directly with them for everything and not having a bunch of people we didn't know coming in and out of our house for so long. As it ended up, we did spend more on their services than we initially planned, but that was because we made some changes to our plans and added some things on. They were as up front about the cost impact of our choices as I felt they could be. The third reason was really more subjective - a gut feel really. Who did we actually like better and if we were going to spend a lot of time around people over the next couple of months, who would we prefer that to be? We felt more comfortable with them than with the others we spoke to. When we got down to actually doing the planning, they walked us through computer modeling of our options that helped me really visualize what we'd be getting and gave us great options and recommendations. We'd never done this before and they do it for a living, so I wanted a contractor who could tell us what really was or wasn't a good idea and how things would really look, and they were great about doing that. The actual project took longer than we had planned because we took a vacation, had some complications with the steam shower itself, and they had some personal things come up during the projects, but what was key was that they did a great job of communicating with us about what to expect and when. Our finished product was a bathroom that is updated, much more functional and useful, and a wonderful improvement to our home. We have asked them back to do a few minor project since then. Overall, we have been very happy with the results using Bill and Randy.

Rusty and Bill we're professional, friendly, honest and saved us money. We told them we wanted a high end look for our high end home but plan to move soon so didn't want to go overboard. They had great suggestions on how to get the most bang for our buck and did quality work. We were scheduled to go out of town and hoped to have the work done before we went away. We were lucky that they had just finished another project and had some time before their next one to fit us in. They completed the work in 13 days, 2 less than they thought they could do it in, and only needed to work late one day because of the stage of tiling they were at. We were informed everyday what the schedule would be for the next day and they communicated well when there was a change of plans such as arriving later because of needing supplies. They kept the worksite as clean as possible and took away all of the debris. We often had to leave them at our home alone and had no qualms about doing it because of their trust worthiness and careful attention to lock up when they left.

Rusty and Bill arrived at our home on time, polite and very professional. We explained our plans for our kitchen remodel. From there the experience went beyond our expectations. Rusty and Bill listened to us (patiently) and offering their professional advice, assisted by a laptop with a Cad Program so that we could visualize what we were looking for. From that meeting we knew we would sign a contract with them. Other Contractors came to our home, and were out the door in 1/2 hour! and did not offer us a design plan on paper.
Rusty and Bill, stayed for as long as we had concerns about price, materials etc. Within days we had an unofficial plan in our hands with a detailed, and I mean detailed, cost of the project. Also included was a schematic of what the kitchen would look like. They were more than patient with us, really enjoyed their sense of humor too, it really relaxed us to the point we were not pressured to sign anything. After reviewing the plans we needed to tweak it some, and with their Professional Expertise we agreed on a design. They returned to our home quite a few times until we all were on the same page. We stayed on budget thanks to Rusty and Bill!
Work was started on the planned date, and they were perfectionists in every way possible. The kind of Contractor you want in your home, trustworthy, and paying attention to every detail. Rusty's two sons, Alex and Zach helped out once in a while and were so pleasant to have in our home.
We had: cabinets, granite counter tops, kitchen sink, disposal, recessed lighting, and an entry way closed up (to allow for more wall space in kitchen) The kitchen turned out perfect! The extra countertop space is such an added bonus. And their idea of removing a pantry and installing "deeper" cabinets was a great idea and allows us more storage room. We also have a lunch island which affords us the much needed seating area in kitchen. We always felt that they were looking out for us and made sure we had the best options for efficiency. It got to a point that we left some decisions up to them, knowing that it would turn out perfect.
From the time Rusty and Bill gave us their first proposal we knew that they were detailed oriented, nothing was left to chance. Even when, through no fault of theirs, (damaged cabinets that needed to be replaced) we did not feel inconvenienced. Sometimes going over figures and design plans more than one time to make sure we had what we wanted. is how they work. We were included and apprised of every "hiccup" that occurred. We enjoyed seeing them and consider them more than Contractors, they are friends who we trust.
We highly recommended D&R Homes Services and plan on hiring them again in the future.

Went great! I did exactly what he told me to do, despite a bad back that makes crawling into low, tight spaces most painful. It took me very little time to achieve success. I called him back to convey my thanks, and now have listed him in my data bank as a go to guy. One day I hope to meet him in person.
The project went very well. Total smooth sailing! The only recommendation I would make is ensure that the cabinet subcontractor is detailed with his work and communicates specific deadlines. He was the only one out of the whole team that put the project behind but Mike managed it very well and stayed on top of it. Mike is fantastic with service, details and coming through on all his commitments. He is honest and truly wants to make his clients happy. We are happily using Mike and his team again for some projects in the near future including rebuilding our deck, painting the house and hopefully doing some remodeling in our basement.
The results are great. Rusty kept me updated along the way since this is a vacation home. I trusted him to come and go unsupervised to do the job. He cleaned up everything after the work was done, and even hung a picture for me on a high wall since I was without a tall enough ladder. Very skilled and very nice to deal with. I would definitely use him again.
We moved in to an older home in November of last year. It has two bathrooms, but the one downstairs was very small. It had the washer and dryer connections in there, a shower that was too narrow and due to a raised floor and lower sealing, it was very cramped. A total demolition was completed including moving a wall out. They also moved the washer and dryer connections to the adjoining room which is now the laundry room. The results are amazing! We now have a large, two head shower, fully tiled with a beautiful glass tile boarder. The work that Rusty and Bill did was top quality, clean and professional. Aside from the quality work, Rusty and Bill were great to have around and to work with. We have additional jobs for them to do in the near future as we know they will get the jobs done right.

Recommendations were made that I didn't think of, and the result was great. Ceiling formerly was very low and ceiling joists were askew, but all of that was fixed. Berber carpeting was replaced with a functional, laminate floor. More square footage was added to home because the space is now heated and air-conditioned. The paint job came out beautiful, too. Also, the room was given extra electrical outlets. The owner's workers, Bill and Judy Griffin, take absolute pride in their workmanship. With that said, I would NEVER use this company in the future because the price kept going up and up without my prior approval. Even though the result was good, I take exception at not being advised. Also, there were many delays. This job should not have taken more than 2 weeks, but the owner took on other jobs at the same time and juggled us all around.

I would not recommend this company to do work in your home. They have put a lien on my property. I have been an Angie's List member for 18 years and have never had an experience as bad as this until now.
Response from D&R Home Services Inc
"We are displeased with Angies list which we pay $360 per month for advertising. The reason being is that we have been in litigation with the [member name removed] to receive our final payment for the work performed. .We asked Angie’s list to hold off with posting the [member name removed] review until litigation was over. We have waited for over a year to place a FAIR response . We have now won our suit against the [member name removed] and justly so. Now we hope Angie’s list will take the position of holding reviews about contractors that are in litigation until a judgement has been made. INNOCENT until proven guilty. We were informed that [member name removed] review was property of [member name removed]. We thought that someone who has the position Manager of Distribution at Northside Hospital, Atlanta would be more ethical than trying to take advantage of small contractors by not paying his balance due. We would love to post this on the shared with neighbors but have more class. We are a small company who even the [member name removed] own team said quality was never an issue. This is the first time since we have been with Angies list that anyone we have done work for has not had a positive review for us. Thank you for reading this and for considering us for your work when you want real quality."

They seem to be knowledgeable with what they are doing. They have exactly the same type of situation before that they have repaired. they came out as soon as it was possible to come out they couldn’t fix it while it was humid weather and they have to wait for the sun to come out, so that was a couple of days, but it was completely understandable. They were professional about it, they have business cards and they talked professionally and they did what they said and set what they do.
