Driveway Pros llc

This is my first time using Angie's List to try and find a company to replace some driveway cement--I was contacted pretty much right away, they came to my home to see what work I was looking to have done--provided a fair bid and set up a time to do the project. Elliot and his co-worker are young and eager to build their business. In a pandemic, I felt like supporting a small local business was important. On their bid, they wanted me to deposit half of the bid amount into an account at a local Associated Bank under "Driveway Pros" and the name of their company was/is Exterior Surface Pros. So, that seemed odd to me and I said that I have never done business like that before. They said that I could just pay them the total at the end of the project. To break up and remove the old concrete-they didn't use a jack hammer-instead they tore up part of my lawn with their bob cat trying to break up the old concrete, broke off part of the garage siding with their bobcat. They were loud and the neighbors weren't happy with all of their noise. Again, young kids-and kind of careless. It took several days while they went to do another "quick" job before the job was completed, eventually they replaced the siding and put dirt and grass seed (should have insisted it was sod). I paid them after they cleaned up the leftover concrete mess. This was in September. November 5th, I received a certified letter from the company that they had ordered the concrete from--The letter was to notify me of my rights because they had NOT received payment of $872.42 from Elliott and Exterior Surface Pros and if I didn't pay them, they can file a lien against my property for the price of their services!! I was/am horrified that I was being threatened with a lien on my property because Elliott and his partner HAVEN'T PAID THEIR BILL with this company. I immediately tried to leave a VM and texted Elliott. No response, mailbox is full. I finally resorted to going to their Facebook page and messaged Elliott. He did respond finally on Nov 13th-he and his family had been in a horrific accident on their way to Arizona, and had to change his number--even shared the news video--said he would check into it "asap" and he was very sorry. I reached out again Nov 17th--"that was a miss understanding"--he replied. When I asked if I owed that amount? No response. Nov. 20 I decided to speak with someone from the concrete company about whether or not the bill had been paid by Exterior Pro Surfaces or not--and it had not been paid. -I messaged Elliott that I had contacted them and that it had not been paid. His response" I paid my bill. I'll talk to them again. I don't know why or what or how they would send you anything." I then sent him a photo of the letter I had received and the phone number. Elliott: "I'll call again" "I talk to Tony he's the manager down there" Nov. 30th, since I truly do not TRUST Elliott--I called and spoke to the Accounts receivable manager named Michael--and No, they had not been paid, he had not talked to Elliott, etc. I messaged Elliott right after talking to Michael and he said he'd call him, been dealing with lot of other things sorry for the inconvenience-Dec 8th messaged Elliott-no response. Dec 9th and messaged him that I would be posting my experience on this site, Facebook and any other venue I can find to WARN PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I do not want other people taken advantage of like I have been. The same with the concrete business they have stiffed. From their current profiles-looks like they have moved away from Cannon Falls MN to somewhere in Arizona. This saddens me that I feel forced to write such a poor review---but I also pay my bills on time as I promise--and to have another company have to threaten to put a lien on my home has never happened to me before. I am angry that Elliott and his partner/co-workers feel that they can do this to people.

Terrible job. First off, they didn’t show up a couple times and make excuses for their absence. The end result is uneven concrete, crooked poles (which had just been replaced) and a pile of poured concrete off to the side our our sidewalk. He is now ignoring our texts, phone calls and emails. Do not hire Driveway Pros out of Cannon Falls, MN. You will be left with one big mess.

The concrete work was fine but our biggest issue is with communication and follow through. They ran into our siding with their machine. They have promised to fix it and we are still waiting. We discovered a large amount of concrete run off in the front yard left to harden. We are still waiting for them to remove it. We are seriously disappointed with this company.

The result was better than anticipated. I was kept informed throughout the duration of the project. Received calls or text as to when they would be arriving, and the extent of the work to be completed. I was very impressed by the desire to please. Their integrity to do a good job made it a very satisfying experience. I would recommend them without hesitation.

The service was great. They were very courteous, they were aware about our property and on our belongings.

It was really good, I have no issues with them and they were very friendly.

They did an excellent job and I am very pleased with the final product. I would definitely hire them again and I would recommend them as well.
