DryMaster Restoration

I found DryMaster on Angie's List with excellent reviews. Luis came out to examine the damage and explain to us what work would be needed. We were impressed with his understanding and experience in construction and remediation and were glad to have his guidance on this job. Grace was terrific in arranging the crew to promptly schedule and perform all needed work and follow up on every task. Jose and his workers were always on schedule and accomplished all remediation work beyond our expectations and on time each day, including explaining each process and answering my many questions.They were fastidious in cleaning up each day and maintaining a clean work area at all times, including hauling away debris daily as needed. Their remediation work easily passed inspection. We are very pleased with DryMasters' work at our house and we recommend them highly.

I called and spoke to Grace she was very friendly and scheduled Luis to give me a free estimate. Luis came and explained what could be done and the cost estimate of $800.00. This was the best cost estimate that I had received from all of the 7 companies I contacted. I went ahead and scheduled the work and everything went as planned. The end result was good and the price was exactly what Luis quoted... $800.00. I feel I made a good choice with this company. My only complaint if I can even call it that, is I received a courtesy call from Ava at Dry Master and she asked if I had anyone to do the repair work post remediation and if not, Dry Master could suggest something. But I never got any information from them after the job was completed. Overall, everything else was good.

We had a leak in a laundry room wall. This wall joins the bathroom and part of the wall had to be removed. This meant that the sink etc in the laundry room were removed as was the toilet in the bathroom. There was not a lot of mold but we decided to go with mold remediation to make sure we got everything. There were several men working for a few days, all of them very professional and knowledgeable. Louis was our main contact person and he was so easy to communicate with and available to answer any questions. He was organized, did what he said he was going to do and did it in the time frame he promised. There was excellent communication between  Drymaster and  the mold inspection company we also hired. They followed the directions of the inspection company and had completed everything correctly for the post inspection, which was clear. <br />

<p>I had to call around for specialists after hours leaving messages. Dry Master's responded the fastest. I got a call on my cell phone from Louis within 5-10 minutes of leaving a message with the answering service. Carlos the owner arrived and gave a no nonsense assessment of the potential work involved and what I like about the estimate is that unlike others who gave an open ended estimates Carlos gave a "Maximum" that he would charge even if it needed more work that he couldn't anticipate. </p> <p>Sergio one of his guys did such a good job of comtainment that the place dried up faster that we thought possible. </p> <p>Would recommend them any time and they do deal with most insurances and take thorough notes and pictures... They also referred to plumber who arrived in time to fix the issue at a reasonable price.</p> <br />

CARLOS AND SERGIO ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DIDN'T ACT LIKE SALESMEN. WE HAD SEVERAL BIDS, BUT THE OTHERS SEEMED LESS QUALIFIED AND COULD NOT START RIGHT AWAY. <br />      THIS SITUATION NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION DUE TO THE FACT OWNERS HAD MOVED OUT OF THEIR UNITS, AND THE WORRY OF MOLD ISSUES. <br />

Carlos / Drymaster gets 10 Stars from me.  The lower level of my condo was severely water damaged by a plumbing issue and subsequent mold contamination.  Cabinets needed to be removed, drywall, floors, etc.  The situation was completely traumatic.  I feel so blessed to have found Drymaster, Carlos   He is honest, conscientious, understanding, resourceful, helpful, knowledgeable, detailed, and has a very calming demeanor.  He would always assure me things were going to be okay.  Honestly, I was a wreck so I deeply appreciated the support and kindness. If you have to have a water/remediation company, you will absolutely want a company that is honest.  The process is such that a consumer can get totally ripped off if a company doesn't have integrity.  For me, I would not want a chain <br /> for this process.  Maybe it's just me, but I have not found personalized service through chains in general. <br /> My preference is an independently owned company where the personnel still have some heart and aren't just working for the paycheck.  Drymaster is exactly that type company. Carlos was very thorough to document the damage and the subsequent <br /> remediation.  Really, as a homeowner, this was very traumatic.  We had to quickly move out of our house and were not allowed in to the <br /> contaminated area (for obvious reasons).  Carlos and his crew removed all the mold and contaminates so that it passed the mold inspection.  By the way, it's important to have a separate company do the testing for final clearance as it is a conflict of interest for a company to do the <br /> remediation and then test themselves.  Who knew !  The work that Drymaster did is very clean and precise.  Drywall that was removed is <br /> cut in very straight lines so that repairs can be made more easily (I assume).  Carlos has walked us through other aspects of this <br /> situation as well. (Too many to list) Honestly, he doesn't  have to helpus like he is.  He's just a good guy.  I recommend Drymaster and Carlos highly.

They started promptly and worked diligently to secure the areas, using <br /> appropriate ventilation, which safe guarded against any possible <br /> contamination. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and care, <br /> nullified a  potentially contentious situation with my tenant, two <br /> easily aggravated neighbors, and difficult condo's management. When it <br /> was discovered that they had to remove large parts of the common <br /> hallway, they did so with such care and efficiency that brought praise <br /> from the association's management. According to them, Drymasters was one <br /> of the most professional companies they have had to deal with, and I <br /> agree with them.  The remediation was completed within the time line and <br /> the costs of the original bid, and I only had to pay $400 more for the <br /> two extra days it took to remove and replace new drywalls in the <br /> hallway.  The condo passed inspection with flying colors.   I highly <br /> recommend Drymaster Restoration for any type of job having to do with <br /> water damage and or mold removal. <br />

Very well, they came pretty quickly and the work itself was done cleanly. Very friendly people too.

I am happy to offer a <em>very positive review </em>of Drymaster. Ours was a particular complex and convoluted situation, not only the actual mold and water damage, but also dealings with insurance companies and HOA. Our living room and two bedrooms wear severely damaged and needed remediation. <br /> Carlos and his crew were exceptionally patient, understanding and very clear about what was going on with the damage, the remediation and what needed to be done. <br /> They were always on time, clean, communicated very clearly and very professional. Carlos and Sergio would always take time to answer any questions. The whole crew was friendly and professional and most importantly did an excellent job. <br /> Carlos also offered us contacts for other aspects of our job (3rd party mold inspectors, contractors, etc), many of which we actually ended up using and have proven to be excellent as well. <br /> While we hope we never need to use their services again...! I live in a condo, and had a bathtub leak that also damaged the unit below me. After calling several different companies, I went with DryMaster Restoration, and I’m so glad that I did! <br /> <br /> They are very <strong>polite and professional</strong>. This was very appreciated because I was kind of panicking about this situation. But everyone on the crew and even the office personnel were so nice, and communicated everything to me in a timely manner. It was wonderful dealing with such a professional company. <br /> <br /> They also took the time to explain everything to me thoroughly, so that I understood what was happening, and what they were doing, and what my options were. <br /> <br /> <strong>Punctual</strong>. They showed up on time, and was able to start work very soon afterwards. In my previous experience with another contractor, they just ripped big holes in the walls. <br /> <br /> <strong>Conclusion</strong> - I'm really happy I chose to work with DryMaster on this job. They did a wonderful job, and I'm a very satisfied customer. If I ever have to deal with water damage or mold problems in the future, I will definitely call DryMaster again.

We contacted a plumber we had used for previous work, who told us that we needed to have another company do the cleanup before they could do the repair.  We obtained estimates for the cleanup from two other water damage cleanup companies before we got the estimate from DryMaster.  One of the companies was pressuring us to sign on the spot, since obviously the cleanup needed to be done quickly.  The estimates of the other two companies were so high that we were actually considering doing the work ourselves! Fortunately we got a more reasonable estimate from DryMaster.  The crew performed the work efficiently and we were able to coordinate the work with the plumbers' schedule.  The plumbers also commented on the excellent cleanup work that had been done, which obviously made their job more pleasant. <br /> <br />

They were OK, but the communication was not as straight as it could have been.  They took down my fans, but did not put them back up.

I can't say enough about how neatly and efficiently they worked.  Carlos came out for the estimate and explained the job and their bid was half of what others wanted.  I could call Carlos at any time, he even worked on a Sunday to get us the estimate and the contract. <br /> <br /> They came on time, did the work very efficiently , cleaned up after.  A top drawer company!!!!!

I contacted them in the night.  They showed up.  I give them a lot of credit for that.  I have a small house, and I know they work or larger homes.  Without them I could have been screwed.  I had no idea what rain damage could have done to my home.  Carlos worked Katrina and knew what kind of damage I could have been looking at if the damage had been left.  I was in shock, but they came and got tarps to cover the area safely.  They really impressed of me that I had a move and let them get to work.  They left a machine to get things drying out.  They were excellent to start.  They came back and once the insurance approved it that day, I found a new place to move the next day.  They helped me move out half my house.  They were supposed to bring up a storage pod and put a few things in there.  They filled up my house and didn't store the storage pod in a proper place and I had some things damaged.  I do not feel that was handled as well as it should have been.  They hid a very heavy oak cabinet in the closet because they did not have a place to put it due to the office sent over the wrong size storage pod.  All the carpet was ripped out.  <br /> <br /> They did all kinds of extra work, brought me lunch, and really took care of me.  They did a great job on the demo.  It's just that things were ruined.  It was a mess.  Things were starting to mildew right away.  There was a neighbor who sent over a roofer who came as an emergency intervention and put a ripped up tarp over my house and charged me.  But that roofer came to yell at Carlos' crew to say that Carlos was cheating me.  Carlos kept his cool.  I had the roofer leave and called to tell him that he was wrong.  <br /> <br /> Because of Carlos I have a place to live.  His crew moved me back in and took care of me.  The problem:  Insurance.  In order to get paid through insurance, they have to send itemized forms for restoration work.  They did not do that.  I called DryMasters every day and the office staff would say it was not done.  But that was holding things up.  The insurance companies were starting to get intense, and I was living in a hotel.  A woman, Voshi, at DryMasters office was impeding the payment process.  Finally, I called the owner at home and he got the invoice sent over to the insurance companies.  Later, the adjuster had made a mistake.  I got a bill from DryMaster from teh same woman in the office to say that I owed over $1000 to DryMasters.  They had changed the amount due by over $2000 and then deducted $1000.  What is worse, I learned that DryMasters had all the appropriate information to submit to insurance since May 2011 and it was several months before this was taken care of.  <br /> <br /> On the absolute finished bill, the price seemed right for what they had to do.  But what a hassle. <br /> <br />

Multiple problems from start to finish!  Extremely unpleasant experience.  Project took at least 3 times longer than promised; this was due to poor organization and coordination.  Contractors made several errors and were then reluctant and slow to fix them.

Carlos and his crew came out within 5 hours on a Friday afternoon and installed the blowers and dehumidifiers.  They removed the wet carpet pad and punched only the necessary holes in the drywall to remove the moisture.  They were friendly and professional and gave a fair price.  They cleaned up after their work.  I would certainly use them again.  Highly recommend.

We had DryMasters to and some plumbing, We really, really liked this company, they were great! They were very efficient and got the job done in a short time. We had a lot of people there doing the multiple jobs at once, installing drywall, correcting a plumbing problem that caused some mold buildup that they removed. They were very effective and professional, and quite punctual. I'll be using them again in the future.
