We have been a full service home improvement company since 1997 and before that it was my dad's company. We have been working on new and rehab properties for many years and love bringing a smile to our customer's faces.

We spent about $10,000. I've never had a general contractor who followed through with what he was supposed to do without screwing me over. They did it on time and within the budget.

The owner is Shawn Fortenberry and his worker was Alex and Alex's brother in law. The bid proposal that they gave us was not what my husband and he had agreed upon. They wrote that the work would take two and a half days and then it would cost $65 for every hour after. We did not agree on that, so it was edited before being signed. We put $740 down for the $1500 total as the deposit. <br /> <br /> The work began on Tuesday Sept 6, 2011. I did not watch them close becuase I figured if they were bonded and licensed then I had nothing to worry about. On Wednesday the 7th, I walked out of the RV where we are having to live in our yard and saw the workers taking all of the 220 number 10 wiring out of my home. They cut all of the wiring out of the rooms and the electrical box. When I caught them, I made them put down the wiring. They returned the wiring they had already placed into their truck. I believe they have been taking the wiring the entire time. They had cut the number 10 lines into strips so that it was easier to strip for the copper. In an 1800 foot house, there should be 2,250 feet of wiring. They had to have taken at least 1500 feet of wiring that is still missing before we caught them. I have filed a police report. They admitted that they had taken the wire, but there is no civil case. We did sign off on the contract, so they will no longer be doing the work. They did not refund us the $740 and they stole our wiring.

"No wiring was stolen from this job as far as I know, I only contracted to dismantle the fire damaged wood and actually removed the majority of the roof including shingles and provided excellent service for the work done, I wish them well on the rest of their project and am sure it will turn out nicely. As for the wiring, this was an electrical fire which damaged a great majority of the wiring in the home which would need to be replaced anyway. I did not take any wiring from the property and placed all the wiring back in place. Funny how one negative thing can be placed and put on Angie's list. I have plenty of positive references and wish this customer well. I hope this will only help both of us in the future."
