It did not go well. . . .Note that they installed the original fence and gate - paid them more than $10,000 to do it. After waiting quite a while for replacement gate, they finally came and installed a new one. Within 3 days (it was winter and the product clearly couldn't withstand the temps outside), the gate cracked and by the end of the 3rd day had completely broke off at the hinges and was laying in my driveway. . . even though the prior gate had no issues for 6 months until it was damaged. I contacted them immediately and sent them pictures asking them to address. They refused to stand behind the product and replace it. They even told me it was my fault it broke because I had not kept the gate closed at all times. . . very poor quality and terrible customer service. I would not recommend using them for any project. They could have easily expended a little effort and cost to take ownership of the issue and fix it to make a customer happy and they clearly did not care.

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional!! The men they sent to do the actual install were clearly hard working and competent. With the exception of a brief lunch break, these guys worked non-stop........and this was a 3 day job!! There was no fooling around, talking on cell phones, etc. And the finished product was far superior to what had been installed 20 years ago by a different fence company. Highly recommend these wonderful folks if you want a well done, pro job!!

I worked with Rick at Durham Fence Company. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had doing any kind of home improvement project. Rick promptly responded to all phone calls and almost always answered his phone. We had installed a new in ground pool and had to coordinate the concrete, landscape, top soil, and sod along with having a new fence put in. Coordinating all of that felt like a full time job at times. Rick was very flexible and it was never a problem when I had to call him at least five times to push back the install date due to the delays of the other contractors. I called 6 fence companies, only 3 returned my call. (A MONTH after my phone call a fourth did actually call me back). While Rick was not the cheapest, he most certainly was not the most expensive. His crew came on time, when they said they would, and worked full days until the job was done. I highly recommend Durham Fence Company to anyone.

The fence looks great in our yard. The crew was courteous and professional. It was a 2 day job, and on day 2 it rained the whole morning. Instead of packing up, and coming back they sat out the rain and finished the job. Wiped down the fence before they left. I got 8 more feet of fence for $2,000.00 less than Luther fence.

Great! The sales dept. responded quickly and came out to estimate the job within a few days of our inquiry. The guys who came to do the work were neat, courteous and did a wonderful job. We had one complaint that was promptly addressed. We would definitely hire again and would highly recommend.

Went well. They came out and estimated the job and then arrived when they said they would got it done. Very please with the materials and workmanship. Only reason I gave them a B for quality is that a corner fence post has warped about 3-4 inches - but I can't blame them for that.

When Durham Fence came out, they not only fixed the two areas we had discussed, but on their own initiative even went above and beyond and repaired at no extra charge another section that had been mildly damaged (using some salvageable materials from the other part of the fence). The fence looks great. You would never know it had been damaged and repaired! The men who came to work on the fence were polite and efficient and competent. We are very satisfied with the work done.

I had my whole yard fenced in originally with vinyl and chain link fencing by Paragon Fence. Two posts of the vinyl portion of the fence heaved out of the ground because the original company did not dig the posts at the required depth. When this happened, the original company did not help me so I contacted Durham. They came out and repaired the 2 sections and did a good job. I live in a high point of the city with a lot of heavy winds during the winter and the fence repair has held up very well. I appreciate their help since most companies will not repair a shoddy job done by other companies. I would highly recommend Durham Fence, and Matt the main contact at Durham was very responsive and helpful.

I received multiple quotes before choosing Durham Fence to complete a new fence install and could not be happier with the finished project.  Durham Fence did a fantastic job taking down an old wooden fence and replacing it with a vinyl privacy fence. Matt was prompt with the estimate and had it ready within 15 minutes of inspecting and measuring the existing fence and Rick immediately addressed my concerns about making one of the fence panels "dog proof" when the slope of the terrain created a small gap under the panel.  The crew worked through rain and snow to complete the project, working around the neighbor's wild shrubs and a sloped terrain.  Highly recommended and would definitely hire again. <br />

The work went really well.  Rick and Matt were very responsive and very knowledgeable.  They came out and gave us a quote for the work, which was more than we wanted to spend.  My wife and I bought all the raw materials for the fence, and tried to do it ourselves.  We started with a posthole digger, then a one-man augur, then a two-man augur, and just couldn't sink the posts deep enough.   <br /> We went back to Rick, and was happy to do the job with our materials.  Matt came out and re-surveyed the job.  We agreed on a quote, and four weeks later they had two guys out there with manual tools, and they got the whole job done in two days.  Mind you that this involved a slope, and very rocky soil.   <br /> We had a few concerns about some cosmetic/quality issues in small areas, and Rick dispatched the guys to our place that same week, and they fixed everything to our liking.  Rick also said that if the fence doesn't live up to their promises, or something fails, that we can call them back and they'll set it right for us.   <br /> Very good experience, and we'll hopefully be using them again soon for another area. <br />

I called Durham Fence after reading the reviews on Angie's List and made an appointment for an estimate. Matt arrived on time and went over what I wanted done. He took measurements answered all of my questions and provided prices within 15 minutes. He brought samples of the fence in to show us.  After reviewing another estimate we had received we decided to go with Durham Fence. The prices were close but the professionalism of Matt from Durham Fence was a deciding factor. <br /> We set an install date.  Matt called me a at least 3 weeks prior to the install to let me know that the crew had run into some heavy digging on a job which had set them back a week so my install date was bumped out.  I appreciated the timely communication of the delay. We had a storm a couple of weeks later that caused much damage in our area of CT which delayed my start date by 3 more days. <br /> I received a call early on a Friday morning saying that the crew had finished up early on a job the day before and asking if they could start my job that morning instead of the following Monday. That was fine with me!  A crew of 3 gentlemen came and started work immediately.  They worked hard all day with no breaks except a short lunch break.  I had occasion to call Matt and leave a voice message with a couple of questions and he returned my call promptly and addressed my concern.  The crew returned on a Saturday and again worked steadily.  They were able to finsh the job the following Monday for a total of 3 days.  These guys did a terrific job. They had a couple of places in the yard that presented challenges and took their time to get it right. The fence is even more than we expected. It is beautiful and exceeded our expectations.  Kudos to Durham Fence from start to finish!  <br />
