Our family has worked with DVAC twice now and both experiences have been outstanding. In May 2024, they installed a heat pump and furnace that kept us comfortable year-round. My daughter already left a review for that project, but our recent experience with a tankless water heater deserves special recognition. Over the weekend, we had an issue with the new water heater and had to call PSE. After they resolved the immediate problem, my daughter emailed David, DVAC’s owner, to explain what had happened. By Monday morning, David responded with genuine care and professionalism. He personally came out to review the PSE report, made sure everything was in order, and gave my daughter his personal cell number in case the issue returned. He was apologetic, took full responsibility, and made things right—no excuses. How a company responds when things go wrong says more than when everything goes smoothly. What stood out to us is that DVAC showed us the same kindness, professionalism, and responsiveness during a problem as they did when things went exactly as planned. That consistency speaks volumes about their character and commitment to their customers. DVAC may come at a higher price point, but their attention to detail, accountability, and consistent follow-through make that cost a worthwhile investment in quality and service. One thing we’ve especially appreciated is the consistency in the technicians who come to our home. It’s reassuring to see familiar faces, and it speaks to DVAC’s strong team culture. Jayden, Malik, and Oleksander are professional, respectful, and kind. Oleksander in particular always takes the time to walk us through the systems he installs, making sure we understand how everything works. What truly sets DVAC apart is their dedication to customer care. They’re locally owned and operated, and when you call their office, you almost always reach a real person—not a voicemail or a call center. David remains actively involved in day-to-day operations, unlike many HVAC companies that have been bought out by private equity and now focus more on aggressive sales tactics than service. DVAC is dependable, delivers on their commitments, and stands behind their work. If you're looking for honest, high-quality service from a company that genuinely values its customers, DVAC is an excellent choice. We will not hesitate to recommend DVAC for any HVAC, plumbing, or electrical needs.

David the tech that was onsite was straightforward and knowledgeable and got straight too it great experience

I had issues with both mini-splits not operating correctly and freezing over. The team came out and figured out what the problem was in a timely manner. About one week after repairs and maintenance were complete, issue came back with units freezing. The technician David, came back out and worked with the manufacturer to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I appreciate his thoroughness and attention to detail. Hopefully the issue is resolved and they will not need to be out again. However, I feel confident that if they do, they will work hard to get this figured out.

Avoid working with DVAC at all costs. When I initially requested a quote for the installation, I specifically asked for a 3-ton high-efficiency heat pump. Unfortunately, the experience with DVAC has been nothing short of frustrating. They began by stating that extensive work needed to be done, charging for it all upfront. However, when it came time to install, they drastically lowered the quality of the equipment, gaslighted me, and lied about what was being provided. Hidden charges surfaced right after my existing system was removed. The issues I discovered included but not limited to: 1.The installed heat pump is only 2-ton heat pump instead of the required 3-ton heat pump stated in the estimate. 2.The furnace provided is of lower quality than what was agreed upon. 3.The ducts installed are too small for the system. 4.The electrical cable used may be undersized for 3-ton heat pump. 5. All works were unpermitted. Throughout the project, I repeatedly verified the permit status with DVAC, including on the installation day (8/15). They assured me everything was in order. However, on 8/20, I confirmed with the City of Kirkland that none of the work had been permitted—a clear violation of both city regulations and our contract. Given these serious issues, I requested a full refund and the removal of all unpermitted work. DVAC refused to comply with the contract and denied the refund. If there were a zero-star option, I wouldn't even give them a single star.

Horrible company. They are not licensed to do HVAC work even though they advertise as if they are. Look them up on the Labor and Industries website for yourself. There license was suspended in December of 2023 and they have multiple fines for working without a license.

Very good. They were polite, on time and they did a great job. They were neat. And they surprised me with a great product.

David is extremely professional, hard working and his prices were very fair! He went above and beyond for us and we have recommended him to anyone we’ve heard needed Hvac work done!
