Mr. Wise and crew showed up and worked hard to get the job done. Everyone had such good manners when addressing me and everyone was very kind. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs any type of foundation repairs done!

Since I couldn't find anyone in my home town to level my house, I hired E-Tex Foundation Repair in July 2015 due to their excellent reviews on Angie's List. They are about 110 miles from me. The job took 3 days. Because my house is so low to the ground, they had to dig out a fair amount of dirt to get under there. Everything went well except I don't think that Mr. Wise used any kind of level to check the house once the work was done. Cost to me -$4,895.00. He gave me a five year warranty on this job. We had a very wet fall and winter here and in January of 2016, when I was taking down the Christmas tree in the corner of my living room, I noticed everything in that corner, including entertainment center and pictures, bounced as I moved around the tree removing decorations. I called E-Tex Foundation and they came and fixed it with a shim. The house is un-level once again and I have been calling E-Tex Foundation to come and re-level it. I first called on 8/03/16. I left a message on the business answering machine and Mr. Wise's cell. I didn't receive a call back. I called the office number again on 8/10/16 and got Mr. Wise on the phone. He told me he had wrecked his truck on July 4th and just got the insurance check for it and bought another vehicle but he just didn't trust this vehicle to make it to my house for the job. He told me he would try and work me into his schedule and let me know when he could come to Crockett. He never got back in touch with me. It rained for 2 weeks after that call so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I called again on 8/24/16 which was a Wednesday. I left a message on the office phone and then called his cell which he answered. He told me he was in Mississippi due to a family crisis and he was going to try and be back in Texas by Friday 8/26. I never heard from him. I called his office and cell phone once again on 9/9 and left messages but didn't receive a call back. Today is Monday 9/12 - called both numbers once again and left messages. I'm thinking Mr. Wise and E-Tex Foundation Repair have no intention of coming back even though I have a warranty for the job. I wouldn't bother with them except that I've paid them and they need to make good on their warranty. I may have no other recourse but to turn this over to my attorney.

Mr. Ed Wise at E-Tex Foundation Repair in Gladewater, Tx (903-331-3278) said the procedure would take a total of three days, told me everything that needed to be done, and kept in touch. He called the day before to tell me they were coming out the next morning. He and the crew were very friendly, and worked quickly, efficiently, and professionally. After digging out four pier holes, they laid cement and left it to dry through the next day. He called the next day and let me know when they were coming out on the third morning. They arrived on time and jacked the slab to re-level and shimmed with solid concrete blocks and plate steel shims. Ground areas that had been lost were filled in with dirt and well-packed, and concrete pieces and dirt stabilized my driveway. Everything was cleaned up from the work area, and I was extremely happy with the results. I would recommend this company of very friendly, very competent people to everyone I know. With the work guaranteed (with a transferable warranty) for 30 years, I have nothing but the best to say about the people and the services rendered. Excellent communication from Mr. Wise beginning with my first email to the company for a bid through the completion of the job!
The job went very well. They took their time, came in and checked to see if things were indeed level at different times. I was very pleased with their work. The rains this year had done a number under my house. Mr. Wise and his crew added a beam where there had never been one, and it was definitely needed. My house had an obvious dip in it that is now gone. And put another beam where the crew I'd used years ago had used untreated wood as a temporary fix until they could get out of the yard. I'd been given an estimate by another company that was almost three times what Mr. Wise bid for the job. And it did not include the beam under the front of the house. Mr. Wise and his crew have a great reputation and they've earned it. I will definitely use them again.
When they first showed up I was worried, didn't think they were very professional, my husband said give them a chance we are in East TX. After they came to start the job I was actually even more worried, but I went ahead and let them preform the job. To me they weren't very organize or acted like they do this all the time. They were nice enough but niceness doesn't get the job done. They came back and were suppose to finish the job, they never did get the crack to go back together and couldn't tell me why. They also ended up charging me $50.00 more than they quoted, that was my fault. I felt like I shouldn't have paid them what I did for the job because I hired them to do something (repair the crack in the brick) and they didn't. I still have a gap in the brick. I feel like I will have to hire someone else to come out and finish the job, and believe me this time I will hire a Professional.
Ed and his crew were fantastic to work with. I called for an estimate and he called me back the next day and came out to give an estimate. he arrived on time and was extremely friendly. I showed him my issues and he gave me a fair estimate. He was actually significantly cheaper than some other estimates I had received. Due to his outstanding Angie's list rating and the great estimate I asked them when they could do the work. They came out two days later, arrived when they said they would. They got straight to work and completed the work in less time than I expected. Ed took his time explaining what had caused my problems and what they did to fix the issue. His work comes with a 5 year transferable warranty.
I was extremely pleased with the price and the work performed. I was equally impressed with Ed himself. It was nice to find an honest, trustworthy and competent businessman to perform the work I needed done. I would recommened E-Tex Foundation Repair to anyone.
Thank you Ed and crew for a job well done.
The provider came out (approx 75 miles) to give an estimate, then returned within one week to begin the job. Our local government required a building permit, so we had to delay the work until an engineer came out to confirm the structural analysis. After that we arranged for an advance payment of $1500. It took a few hours to do the initial digging. Next the structural posts (I can not recall the proper terms) were put into place and the cement pouring and other steps were completed. As the crew was finishing up they recognized that another outside plumbing type situation needed to be addressed, and they provided some initial assistance so we would know how to communicate with the plumber later. They did a fantastic job!

Mr. Wise is a professional and a man of integrity. Also, friendly and fun to talk with. I appreciated the time he spent on explanations.
The price included our senior discount.
The crew was fabulous. They did very labor intensive work in hot weather yet, every one of them were extremely polite and always wore a smile.
These people care about their work and did a great job. We enjoyed having each and every one of them at our home.
The gentleman came out and gave me a competitive bid (I had several other bids also). He was seemingly a nice gentleman. He and his crew arrived when he said he would and proceeded with the work. He was not present the first day. His crew proceeded without him and, unbeknownst to me, went into my garage and picked some of my tools to use in their work. They said nothing to me and did not ask me if they could use my tools. I only found out they were using them when I went out to check on the progress of the work.
My big mistake, come to find out, was leaving my garage, my vehicle and my back door unlocked.
ATTENTION!! That first afternoon, after they left, I noticed several things missing from my garage, my vehicle and my back room. The total cost of the items was less than $300.00. The rest of the time they worked, I kept everything locked up and didn't notice anything else missing. The items are easy enough to replace, so it appears to me they were taken just because they could be taken.
One member of his crew was only there on the first day and not during the remainder of the work.
At the end of the job, I approached the man about this and he expressed concerned and said something would be done, but to this date (11/21/2013), nothing has been done and, after several calls to him, I have not received a return call. I do remember his crew scattering away from us when I approached him and we were talking about this problem.
So, while the quality of the work remains to be seen, I cannot and will not recommend this company.........
If he is unaccountable for his crew, then it seems there is a possibility that the work performed may be suspect.
Mr Wise arrived at the appointed time, looked at my problem, told me what needed to be done, and gave me an estimate that I felt was very fair. We agreed upon a time that he would do the work. He arrived on specified date, told me what he would do and when the job would be finished. He did exactly what he said he would do, the job was completed on time. He had to remove some planks on the patio to get to the foundation underneath, which he did, then replaced those planks. My house is level and looks great, and he guarantees his work for 30 years. What more can one ask.

They were really good. I got a couple of repairs and the first man who look at it he said ?Well all of this wood are damage we will replace the whole thing for $13000?. My husband who is a retired engineer said you know that?s a little bit too high why don?t you get another estimate and so I called E-Tex Foundation Repair and they came over. He and another guy ? two guys, they went all underneath the house (it?s an older house that I'm selling) and I was with them and then my husband went down to verify the only thing that really is damage are some of the boards in front of the house and we suggest you don?t replacing those boards and then doing something about the water dribbling underneath the house but he said actually you don?t need to replace all of these boards just the once in the front that are rotten and so we had them to do it and they did it for $3250 and I am really pleased. They work really well. They work really hard and I think they can do it for two or a day to do it. I thought it will take a lot longer time but they really do a good work and that other man wanted $13000 to replace boards that didn?t need to be replaced and he even didn?t get down underneath to look in there. I do recommend them. They were good and they tell me exactly what had happened and they help me did an investigation of why is just the front of the house that has a rotten boards and water had been pulling from the front yard when it rain underneath the house and so what we did because the front yard was higher underneath the house is that we put in a French drain system ? we did that ourselves, my husband did it with my brother and they dug a ditch and put a pipe down to catch the water and they just rerouted it down the hill and we carefully we gotten that problem solved. They are really good and they know what they are doing with foundations.

Bottom line, They really were good and they know what they are doing. They will not give you false information. You can trust these guys to know what they are doing and I just really appreciated that. I thought their price were reasonable for all that they did because $3000 to replace all of those boards and beams and post and all of that in front of the house ? I thought was reasonable. For quality of work ? my husband help with this. He understands that. He is an engineer and got down underneath the house to look at the work and all of that and so I am really thankful for him because he knows better than I do what constitute quality work and so he thought they did a good job to. They are based in Gladewater and when I called them I thought and wonder if you guys can come to Tyler and they said no problem we go all over and the next day they came and look at the house. They got with it, got through with it and got out of there. They don?t waste time. They were very professional. They were friendly. They were nice. They just tell us what the problem was and fix it. I think they?re great. I can see why they?re on Angie?s List and people use them because they?re good workers.

I have been trying to get repair and remodeling work done on my house and have been frustrated by calling contractors and having them either never show up or take weeks to show up, then more weeks to simply give me a quotation. Ed Wise, the owner of E Tex Foundation, told me he was finishing a job but had to come to Nacogdoches the following week to respond to a call on a 15 year old job (he gives a 30-year warranty and evidently stands by his warranties). The warranty is transferable to a subsequent owner without charge, while I was told by another contractor that to transfer the warranty I would have to pay $500. Mr. Wise showed up exactly when he said he would and his crew got right to work on the day the job started. They had to remove some bushes that were probably 40 years old, which they did with a chain, pulling them out using their truck. They were concerned about driving on my lawn so would not do this operation until they had a chain long enough so that they did not have to.
E Tex Foundation is a 33-year-old company, and Mr. Wise has worked in the company since he was a very young man, now carrying on his father-in-law's foundation repair business. My impression is that he is a man of integrity and is proud of the company's long tradition of doing superior work in an ethical manner. I was touched by his admiration of his father-in-law, who is recently deceased, and his telling me how he learned everything he knew from him, including the spirit in which his work should be carried on. He treats his crew with the greatest respect, and they work cheerfully doing some of the hardest manual labor (digging red clay and rock that would seem nearly impossible to do with a shovel). The entire lot of them were friendly, polite, serious about their work, and just as pleased for me as I was when the house came back into level and the chimney straightened, This company took something that had me extremely worried and turned it around to pure relief. I am more than pleased with this company!
