Everything went extremely well.

The work was well-done, the workers - as always - competent and professional, finished quickly and our hardscape looks good. Cost was higher than we expected, but more work was required than we expected and the price was fair for the amount and quality of work done.

The workers for the most part did a good job. They definitely know what they are doing and the end product was mainly good.

They showed up, did the work, and did a great job. Price was steep, but they did all the right things.

The job went very well. The guys had to do this in high temps of course but they did great.

Earthwood Arts built a large Trex deck on the back of our house 5 years ago. The original cost was $27,000. A year after it was built a portion of the deck starting sinking. Mike came out to look at it. He said a support wasn't fastened properly. He fixed it at no charge. Then last month another portion of the deck started sinking. Mike came out to look and said it wasn't warranteed. At first he said there was a sink hole but after work started he said there's not a sink hole but a support beam had rotted because the area under the deck is very moist. He didn't give us an estimate for the work but instead we agreed to an hourly rate plus supplies. He said he was trying to keep the cost down for us. He poured cement around the posts and added extra support beams. We got the bill yesterday. $9,371. He did give us a 10 year warranty for this work.

Michael (owner) was awesome to work with! Came by the house three different times, once on a Sunday, to talk through ideas me look at plant options online with my husband and I. Crew showed up exactly when he said they would and finished on time. They cleaned up well and hauled off all debris. Very happy with the final outcome and will be hiring again to complete border around a new privacy fence.

Over a period of a couple of days the Earthwood Arts crew did spring cleanup on the yard, mulched, trimmed lawn edges.  It looks fantastic, and my neighbors continue to make favorable comments. <br>This is the 4th year that we have worked with Earthwood Arts, and each year they build on what they've done the year before.  They take a definite pride in their work, which is consistently excellent.  And their cleanup is impeccable. <br>The crew is always friendly and professional, and they all listen intently to comments and questions.  It is a pleasure to work with them. <br> <br> <br>

It's a difficult area to control rainwater because of the size of the parking area.  They installed rip rap, edging and a drain to control the flow of water down a slope at the side of the garden.  This is an effective drain. In very heavy rain, there is still alot of water pouring through the drain, but Eathwood has relliably continued to monitor the area, and make improvements as needed. <br />

Excellent - we have been very pleased with this company. They provide excellent design work (good artistic sense and understanding of plant materials available for different locations), careful installation and long term maintenance.

They did a great job. The crew 2 guys were punctual, friendly and did worked consistently without taking too many breaks. The owner came back in the fall and noticed a couple spots where the bricks were lose and applied a sealer to prevent them from moving. It was a couple years. I would use them again.

It was fine. I wasn't even here when they were doing most of the work, but they came when they said they were going to come. They did a good job and we love the result.

The Earth-wood Arts crew came out and got the yard ready for winter.  Cleaned up, got rid of dead plant material, strung X-mas lights. <br /> I've been working with these professionals for a couple of years now.  They listen carefully, and they do the job (whatever the job is) absolutely right.  They are very, very nice, and they leave the work site in impeccable shape.  I know that their work adds to the value of my property, and my neighbors often comment on how good the place looks. <br /> I'm 100% pleased and plan to continue working with Earth-wood Arts.

In the late Spring of this year, Mike van de Bossche and his crew at Earth-Wood Arts created a new hardscape (whole new porch, steps, walks) with pavers and a beautiful new landscape in the front of our house, designed and installed to match and complement the work previously done by them (2012 ) in the back of our house.  They included dramatic outdoor lighting as part of the landscaping and completely changed the look of the house, day and night <br /> Mike has a good eye and gave us good advice on design. Neither the front nor the previously done back was a particularly easy space to revamp. There was a lot of tear-out work that was done very well, quickly, and cleaned up after.  Earth-Wood Arts' crew is a fine group of people to have around, polite, professional, and collaborative.  We had a plan in the fall of 2013, but in early Spring 2014, Mike spontaneously brought us a completely new plan and told us he had given his original plan a lot of thought and believed it could be done with a much better aesthetic outcome, still working within the budget he knew we had.  We agreed and bought the new plan in its entirety.   <br /> The pavers, landscaping, hardscape design and installation, and lighting in front and back are now all complementary.  We get compliments on the new work from almost everyone who visits our house.  We have enjoyed the fire pit, and the extremely low maintenance landscape design in the front not only looks great, it requires almost nothing from us to maintain. <br /> Mike or his top representative showed up at every critical juncture, just as they did with previous work.  When some designated plant material was unavailable, their expertise allowed for substitutions that are just as beautiful and achieved the desired look as well as the original plan would have done.  When some plants looked less robust than the others, Earthwood removed and replaced them on their own in order to assure a good outcome.  The drainage and downspout runoff has always been a problem and they design and installed a new French drain system that solved a 25 year-old problem. It is a beautiful installation. <br /> You can probably pay less, but I think Mike and his crew's years of experience were were important and worth paying for given some of the uneven elevations and drainage issues on the site that they solved, and I feel that the pricing was very appropriate to the service, design work, efficient and professional installation of the hardscape, pavers, outdoor lighting and landscape.

Mike and company designed two magnificent walks in front of our home last year.  They had to drill out the existing cracked concrete that had sunk and replaced it with stunning walks including small extra steps at the house to make climbing up to stoop and porch easier.  They were wonderful to deal with, timely, pleasant, and talented!  We have been using Mike and company for all our landscaping for the past several years and always get compliments galore!!  In addition to general landscaping he added beautiful night lighting to our front columns and salvaged someone else's botched job on our huge patios in the rear.  Mike is a part of our family and we always go to him first!

<p>The provider worked with us for several months planning the project, providing details, drawings, and estimates. </p> <p>The greenhouse was ordered from an out of state provider, and delivered to the residence in a kit.  It's an 8'X10' glass and poly greenhouse.  The provider contructed a 4'X10'X4' cedar foundation (kneewall) in advance of the delivery of the kit. That construction was in enough time(several days)  to allow us to stain the cedar, before the delivery of the greenhouse. </p> <p>  On the day of delivery the provider was on site at the time of delivery to receive the items; several large glass shipping container and a number of smaller parcels. All delivered items were counted and verified by the provider. Within one day of delivery they began construction  with a two man crew.  The construction took several days, and was complicated by some errors that had been made by the greenhouse company- (shipping the wrong parts).  Nevertheless, from beginning to end the project went smoothly and in almost exactly the time estimated by the provider. </p> <p>The greenhouse was part of a larger landscaping project also completed by this provider.  At all times the provider was attentive to our requests and timetable.  The provider was always available.  The workers, Steve the carpenter and Bill are efficient, competent and delightful to have around.  At all times they kept us informed of their progress (which was pretty obvious) and expected timetable for completion.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> </p> h

<p>The provider designed and planned the construction of two modular retaining walls on a slope in our yard.  The work began on time, and ended exactly when they estimated it would.  There were several bad weather days, and interruptions from other contractors working in the same area, and still their time estimate was correct.</p> <p>The crew was excellent. The were a pleasure to have around.  It's difficult work, and the whole crew was friendly and efficient. The walls look great.</p>   We now have a terraced garden where there once were weeds.

<p>Very well done, no problems from start to finish.  The building parts arrived via courier and the provider was there to receive the shipment and verify all the parts were there.  The delivery was complicated by the courier service, which refused to deliver to the back of the house, so the provider shuttled the parts from the street to the destination.</p> <p>The construction of the shed proceeded  without any difficulty, and Steve the carpenter was delightful to work with, always a pleasure to have around.  </p>

Mike was easy to work with and gave an accurate quote of the work to be done. The difference was due to being charged more at the dump for the materials he had removed from the yard. He explained the difference and was punctual with getting back to me on the work to be done. I would use him again for general yard projects too big to handle on my own.

Excellent.  I love the bushes Mike chose for privacy across the front.  It is simple yet beautiful.  They also put down sod on two areas where they pulled out pavers but wasn't covered by the new decking.  The poor guys had 2 HUGE limestone rocks to contend with as we couldn't find a good place to relocate them.  The broke them up with sledge hammers and hauled off most of it.  I kept some of the pieces for placement in the mulch beds. <br />

Excellent.  They were up front and honest about when they could begin the job and were pretty much spot on.  The finished product looked almost exactly as the plans were drawn.  There were no issues or bumps in the road.  Each day the "stick guy", Steve would show and begin work at 8am and wouldn't leave until 4pm or so.  A couple days it was so hot that they took off early which I understood as we have NO shade on the back of the house.  I provided them with coffee, iced water, donuts, Gatorade, etc....  and they were always so polite.  They cleaned up every evening and hauled away all excess debris.  I am so happy we chose to use this company. <br />

<p>Mike and his crew were timely with the estimate, final design and completion of the project.  They custom built a large cedar pergola over our back deck.  It turned out great and exceeded my expectations!  I was very impressed by the way they were able to work around certain fixtures attached to the house instead of removing them or blocking them with posts for the pergola.  The posts were also firmly secured in the ground with concrete.  All in all, a professional job!  </p> <br />

It went great.  The design was great, execution was great.
