EARTH SAFE ENVIRONMENTAL

Well I got a couple quotes to put an egress window in to keep my 4 kids safe in my basement. I was newly divorced & in my first home alone. Dan Blair came and told me all the wonderful work he planned to do and sold me. He wasn’t the cheapest but I liked how he said the job would go. I needed to pay half the cost right out of the gate which was $2400. When they arrived, Dan was not with them. They pulled into my next door neighbors driveway and started to get to work. I was a bit nervous about that as I was new to the neighborhood and wasn’t sure how my neighbors would react to being on their property. I looked out the window at one point & saw my neighbor talking to the workers and all seemed fine. The men finished outside & came inside to do the framing. This is when I noticed the window was not centered so I told the worker to not frame it. I called Dan Blair to tell him that the reason I went with him was because he promised to put a window in centered on the space in my bedroom. He told me that wasn’t the case. That he could do that but it was going to cost me more money. He seemed very annoyed with me. I told him that I didn’t have any more money to give him & to just finish this window. Dan called the next day stating the guys took the wrong window and that he would come back in the spring and install the correct window. I agreed. The men left. The next day I had 3 visits from my neighbors and they weren’t pleasant. They guys left a decent amount of dirt on their driveway and apparently told them that they would clean it but did not. On the 3rd visit from them I was yelled at for going on their property without permission and TOLD that I was to clean their driveway the next day. Then I was told to never go on their property again. Again, I called Dan who told me he would clean it the next day and talk to my neighbor. The driveway was cleaned but Dan never spoke to my neighbor. We don’t speak to this day. A month after they installed the window my son told me it was pouring water into his room from the new window. I called Dan Blair who came over and saw the damage. He got sump pumps, a shop vac & blowers to help clean up the gallons on water on my brand new carpets. There was mold already on my drywall & promised to take care of that and have my carpets professionally cleaned. Said he needed to dig a trench and put drainage in. His employee stated at that time that he thought they should have done that when he installed the window. Dan did dig the trench and put drainage in. He also put the correct sized window in at that time. He repeatedly told me he would take care of the window. At one point he did say that we could talk about the costs for the drainage. The drywall was cut out and replaced. Mudding was put on and left to dry. Carpets were never cleaned. My walls were damaged from the water and staples place in my walls to hold plastic up covering the window when installed. The staples are still there. My sprinkler system was broke as well as my invisible fence during the process. The trench was not filled in for a month making my yard very dangerous for my 4 kids & 2 dogs. So today I received a bill for the remainder cost for the window. A bill I was told that I would never receive. On top of that, the job is not finished. The trench is not filled in. No steam cleaning done. Broken Invisible Fence & sprinkler. In my contract is states they would fill in the hole and grade the dirt away from the house. Bring nice topsoil in and paint any interior walls that were affected. I text Dan telling him I was confused about receiving the bill. He called telling me repeatedly how unappreciative I was for his work with the trench. He told me it wasn’t his fault that my basement flooded & that the work he did was out of the kindness of his own heart and how dare I be “****** off” an out a dumb Invisible Fence. He took responsibility for nothing. He even denied sending me the bill. Blamed the poor woman in the office for doing that. As he continued to get more aggressive on the phone I told him that the conversion wasn’t going well. That I would pay the bill but didn’t want his company back at my house. He said fine and hung up on me. Now I have a broken sprinkler, broken Invisible Fence, staples in my wall, painting that needs to be done, sanding & painting to be done in the closet, rugs to be professionally cleaned and a massive trench to fill. All at full price. Don’t believe a word Dan Blair says. From what I have since been told, the drainage should have been put in when the window was installed. Dan claims this has never happened before. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. Dan was extremely unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. He sent me this bill in the middle of a pandemic when I am unemployed and uncertain when I will be able to return as I work in an elementary school.

Needed Mold Treated in my basement and attic.. Unfortunately I hired another Mold Remediation company and they did a horrible job which didn't even come close to passing the Mold assessors evaluation. Based on the assessors recommendation I contacted Earth Safe and I am very glad I did. The owner (Dan) came, looked at the job and gave me a quick and fair estimate. We scheduled for the basement first and the attic later (due to cold weather). His crew did a great job on both areas. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very neat. I wish I had contacted them first but I am glad I found them later. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They did mold removal in my attic and installed a gable vent fan, after 2 years the fan started to actup. my paperwork says the fan has a 5 year warranty. I called the company to have them fix the fan and they told me its $120 just to come look at the fan and the warranty dosnt cover labor. They installed a faulty fan and want me to pay to have it fixed. I would not recommend this business.

Excellent customer service. On time, arrive promptly. Very personable and professional work. Cleaned up and you wouldn't tell they were there. Very knowledgeable. Did before and after samples of radon levels. Explained every step thought the process so there were no surprises.

Dan's team responded quickly to a request for a quote for our attic mold remediation. He set up an appointment to visit our home to assess the work. His team was able to start the job within 3 days of us rewarding them the contract. The team showed up and were very polite and professional. They performed the tasks quickly and kept our home clean while they moved their equipment up to the attic and back. They informed us about the work performed and what we could expect.

The owner responded immediately to our request for a bid on remediating a mold issue in our basement, and while preparing that bid mentioned that his firm could also resolve our bulging foundation problem.  Out of the three contractors who bid on our mold remediation needs, he was the only one who invested the money to have actual samples of the mold tested by an independent laboratory.  When his bid was substantially less than the other contractors, he shared the results of the testing with us and was able to show us why his proposed solution was both better and less expensive than what the other firms were proposing.  We shared both the test results and his proposed scope of work with the inspector who originally identified our mold issue, and the inspector assured up that the proposed solution would properly address our problem.  Once we had accepted his bid, the work was performed quickly and he did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job.  His finished work was inspected by the firm that first identified the problem, and they were impressed by the quality of the job that Earth Safe had done. <br /> Earth Safe's proposed solution for dealing with our bulging foundation wall utilized a bracing system that is relative new on the market, and he was the only bidder who suggested using it.  Again we checked with the inspetion firm that had identified the problem, and they agreed it was an excellent solution to our problem,.  It took about a week to order the bracing that was needed, but once it arrived Earth Safe installed it immediately.  Once again they did an excellent job of cleaning up.   <br /> Earth Safe's solution cost less than half of the next lowest bid, and it was clearly the least disruptive approach to addressing our problems.  With both solutions they gave us superior service at an extremely reasonable price.  They set their schedule to accommodate ours, and did the work quickly (but thoroughly).  This is a family owned and operated business, and they take obvious pride in the quality of their workmanship.  They gave us superior solutions at a lower cost than any of the other bidders, and were very pleasant to work with.  I can't recommend them highly enough.  They clearly deserved the excellent rating that they have on Angie's list <br />

Earth Safe was very responsive and returned a call within minutes of reaching out. Any time I had questions or needed follow up they were quick to respond - a rarity in the contracting world. Work was completed on time and for the proposed amount.  <br />

We hired Earth Safe to address mold growth in our attic. We decided to install a second vent with a fan to increase airflow based on their recommendation. The crew arrived on time, and cleaned up after they were done. When we went up to inspect the work afterwards, we saw that some areas had not been adequately sprayed, and the fan was set up so that there was significant blowback into the attic. We relayed these concerns to the owner (Dan), who was not present during the work. He came back to inspect, and agreed to send the crew back to fix the problems. They installed a different fan, and resprayed. We're happy with the work now, and appreciated Dan's quick responses to our concerns. <br />
