Rob and his crew were great to work with start to finish. The work is high quality and the pricing was exceptionally fair for all of the work we had done. The crew worked fast and kept a clean work space at all times. The crew also walked us through all of the work that was done throughout the yard and gave both my wife and I a tutorial on using the automated sprinkler system.
We had one section of our yard where the sprinklers were providing great coverage and after being alerted to the problem, Rob had someone out to fix the issue within a day or two.
I highly recommend Rob and Earthscapes, LLC to anyone wanting to improve the landscaping around their house. The only downside we experienced was that sometimes it was difficult to get a response via phone or email. Rob always acknowledged the call/email either through in person communication or demonstrated through action, but in my experience, a little over communication goes a long way.

I'm first sorry I did not go to Angies List years ago to leave a review. I was not a member at that time and just didn't think about it.

Initially, Rob came to quote a build of a retaining wall. After we spoke for a couple hours, he had some great ideas for what we wanted to do in our backyard and also indicated his crew built decks. This was no small deck! It was of my own design with several angles and cable railings. He did an estimate for the yard and deck installation separately. His bid for the work came in right in the middle of three I procured from local builders and his references were outstanding. So ahead we charged.

Right from the start he had an eye for the details. He nailed the stone selection right on based on my wife's description of what she wanted. The rock was, and still is beautiful in it's character. His ideas about the stair's placement and construction were simply perfect. The wall turned out superb.

The yard was quite a chore! The stump was 26" in diameter at the last cut and over 6' in diameter in the root system. It took a full day of digging just to remove it. The price he was charging me for the stump was too little for this much work and I made it right in the end. Due to limited access, they could only get a Bobcat into the back yard area. His crew made do with that and smoothed out a large area approximately 6000 square feet, brought in topsoil, and seeded. Disaster struck just a few days later and a freak rainstorm washed about 50% of the seed down the hill. I was just sick! Rob and his crew re-leveled the yard and re-seeded and didn't charge me a thing. A full day's work! That's service!

Now the deck. I had designed it and had drawings. It was a second level of almost 500 square feet with stair access and cable railings. The permit spelled out the code (way too many requirements from the county if you ask me). His crew dealt with the code, a couple cosmetic changes, and they built a deck I was very proud of. In the evenings, I helped with a lot of the details and his crew was very courteous and accepted my help without complaint. This entire project took 6 weeks with the rain delays. Just fine in my mind.

Almost four years later and their work still looks great! I'm planning some front yard hardscape and I will certainly be calling on Rob again.

I had new lawn put in in November 2012 and when the grass started growing in February it was a patch of weeds. They finally got my new grass in in June. The company that supplied the sod gave them new sod and compensated them for their extra labor. The entire process took about three months, in which my yard was torn up for two months. My only complaint being they were very slow to respond even though they have a 100% saitisfaction guarantee. They showed up last week to follow up, and they fixed my sprinklers that had been broken when they came out to redo the sod. Despite the problems, I'm happy to say that I have a beautiful lawn.
I would rate them an A all around. They were pretty good and I would consider using them in the future.

Very personable, neat work, respectful of yard, property. Just wish I had thought of asking them about taking away all the chips that mixed into soil from drilling. I would have been willing to pay to have that hauled away.

It?s a small group and I believe he just works out of his home. Things went really well and it turned out better than I expected. He is a very good communicator and he used a lot of care in putting things back the way they were.
