Very disappointed with this company. They were in a big hurry to do work and ended up installing my pump incorrectly even though they said they could install it. The installer was even asking my neighbors how to install the pump to the well the right way. And even though the foreman over my job was communicating back and forth through text and phone calls, their warranty guy claims they only communicate and do work through email. That is a lie. So when I tried to call and text the foreman to come fix the damage their installers caused to my pump, he never responded. I then proceeded to call their office and the secretary told me that their warranty person would contact me and if he didn’t by the end of the week then I needed to call her back the following Monday. He never reached out and I had to call them Monday, in which he finally emailed me, and explained he was on vacation. Because, I could not get a hold of him and I have spent a lot of money on my landscaping, and needed to water new trees and plants, I had to have another company come out and fix the pump and the plumbing to it. The filter was installed the wrong direction, so it was not filtering the crude from the water and was sending it up to my pump. In fact, the pump was chuck full of mud and crap when another company took it apart. The foot valve was installed with no way to drain water completely, so it froze and exploded in the winter. They did not completely winterize my pump and left water in it and it cracked the case. They tried to lie and tell me it was my fault because I did not detach the pump but there is a shut off valve from the well so it doesn’t need to be detached. It would never get water up into it unless I opened the valve. They also tried to tell me that the foreman’s phone number that I had been communicating with last year had changed, but then back tracked his answer. I am disappointed with their reaction to me trying to get them to help pay for the bill, which I had to pay to get my pump fixed and installed correctly. They were beating around the bush and would not accept that I tried to get a hold of them and that I couldn’t wait for them to get things fixed. The warranty guy kept saying it was my fault for not having them fix it, but I could not get a hold of them in time and I needed it done sooner than later. I find it very unprofessional to not take any responsibility for their installer installing my pump incorrectly, and to lie about things. It’s a complete lie to say they communicate work and issues only through email when the foreman would consistently communicate work and problems that need to be fixed by phone call and text. I have him texting me last year about winterizing my sprinkler system, and a bunch of other texts between us. I would avoid this company. They seemed to be in a rush and their workers even told me that. They would say they wish they had more time to work on my yard but they have to get to another job. Avoid this company unless you want to be filling a small claim in court against them like I am currently doing, and trying to get your hard earned money back. I paid them tons of money to landscape my yard and paid on time. They installed my pump wrong and don’t want to take responsibility for that or the fact that they were not timely with getting back to me when I tried to reach out.
Response from Earthworks Landscaping Services Inc
"I would have had no problem coming out and looking at your issues. My email is at the top of the contract and I never heard from you. Having another company come out and repair it then sending us the bill isn't how it works. Your pump was different than the standard pump, and that is why I told you that you need to purchase the pump yourself and we would install it. I told you I've never installed a pump for a well, and you told me to install it like your neighbors. I did that. Your pump was installed correctly, and I can't verify that the filter was put on wrong because you already had the work done by another company before I found out about it. Your pump should go inside during the winter months. You called us on a Friday and we are closed on Friday's. I can't warranty something that you had another company repair! I would have inspected it and if I found that it was our error then I would have replaced it. The amount you were asking to be compensated for was unjust. The pump I would not have covered, but I would have repaired the mistake to the filter if there was one. If you'd like to come up with a fair resolution then I'm open to go over it with you. You have my email."

Earthworks was phenomenal to work with. Their attention to detail and professionalism is unmatched. They completed a large project for our new home including sprinkler systems, grading of the lot, extensive concrete work, planted over 175 trees, shrubs, perennials, areas of dryscape and more. We couldn't be more pleased ?

We received an estimate in July to redo our landscaping and after reviewing our estimates we and reading reviews we chose to use Earthworks. As far as a landscaping company you hear horror stories of people not showing up or finishing. What I can tell you is that once Earthworks gets there (and we LOVED CURTIS) they finish the job. We even added a few things and they stayed to finish those things as well. Communication with Curtis every day was very easy he was the foreman on our job and they were at our house for a couple of weeks of course we cannot take that much time off of work so he was easy to talk to throughout the day. My neighbors ALWAYS said how hard they were working each day. After we choose Earthworks we found the coupon on Angie's list which they honored and saved us about $2000 and it allowed us to add a couple of things we were trying to go without. Thanks for all of your hard work guys. I will recommend you!

Jeremy came quickly and assured me it was an easy and fast fix and he just needed an additional part he'd pick up in Sandy. He came back, repaired it within 10 minutes and it works great.
BUT.....because I have worked with Earthworks before, they were, of course, my first (my ONLY) call. Nowhere on Angie's List and never during my conversation with Marissa was I told there was a two-hour minimum (all the other projects they've done were much bigger, so it never came up). At $65/hour, this 10 minute job cost me$130! Had I known, I would have looked for a local handyman and that is certainly what I'll do in the future. And, yes, I did talk with Marissa at Earthworks regarding the bill and it stands as billed.
I'm sorry, guys, you've lost my business.
I found them on Angie's List and based on previous reviews, decided to call them. Best phone call I ever made. Everyone I dealt with from Marissa to Jason to Curtis was absolutly professional and courteous. Mine was a new yard that needed extensive grading, fill dirt, sprinklers, and seed. The crews showed up on time and worked tirelessly for several days until the job was done. This was no easy task as it snowed one of the days and was just downright cold the rest of the time. After the job was done, Curtis came out and explained the system they put in, and how to operate everything. He was very patient with us and made sure we understood everything before he left. It was just a great experience all around.
I first worked with Carter Kilpack when he owned LandVision Landscaping and gave him A reviews for the many projects he did. He has since sold that business to EarthWorks and works for them, so it was a no-brainer that I'd want him to continue taking care of my projects. I do almost all my own work, but there are some things I don't know how to do or heavy lifting precludes my doing them (I just can't get those bit beams for the arbor 10 feet off the ground!), so Carter handles those projects. I love that he teaches me how to do things and respects that I want to do as much as possible. The crew that he brought did a fantastic job and they are a credit to the company. The initial estimate was more than fair, but they ended up reducing the final bill because they said it was easier than expected and they felt bad that there were delays because of the rain.
How good are they? I live in an HOA where the sprinkler maintenance is paid for (and done VERY poorly!)---I choose to pay EarthWorks to take care of me. THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!!
