Javier at East Coast Resurfacing was amazing to work with. Not only was he very professional, he also was very neat and clean and didn’t leave my bathroom a mess. His work is fantastic and my tub never looked better! I’m so happy to have a brand new tub. Thank you East Coast Resurfacing, I will definitely be recommending you to everyone I know.

The guest bathroom needed an upgrade. Javier can highly recommended by a coworker who had her master bathroom remodeled done by him. He installed my new vanity, tear down and up tiles, upgrades all the fixtures, and painted. I’m in love with the results. Javier did an awesome job. I will be using him for future remodeling.

East Coast Resurfacing did a complete kitchen remodel on my new home for me, and I am incredibly pleased. Their work was professional and speedy, but not rushed. I highly recommend using this company for any kitchen or bathrooms remodels--or any work in general as they are well priced and they do a wonderful job!

First, the owner of this company is a very nice guy which makes it very difficult to write a not so positive review, but since these forums are designed to let others know how a contractor performed on a job, I feel the need to be honest about how my project went. Again, the owner could not be a nicer person but I believe he was in a bit over his head on my particular project. Sadly, it didn't start or end well. Prior to the demo, his communication was not up to my expectations so I had a short conversation with him and explained my concerns and communications improved somewhat from that point forward. After he demoed my bathroom he informed me that his tile subcontractor had taken ill and could not start the job for two weeks. I replied by saying that this was unacceptable and asked what his contingency plan was. Sadly he did not have one and he had to go in search of a new tile subcontractor. After a few days he phoned me and said he had found someone. The subcontractor worked for a couple of days until I informed him that he was not pouring the right type of mortar for the shower pan. This upset him to the point that he walked off the job. I asked the owner to please remove the improper material from the shower pan and he complied. Once again the project was stalled as he had to take the time to find another tile subcontractor. Once he found another contractor, worked resumed but did not go all that smooth. This new contractor poured the correct mortar which I had purchased and proceeded to tile. His work was not up to standards and he wasted hundreds of dollars in tile as he did not have a wet saw to make the cuts. Cuts were sloppy and his workmanship was subpar. The subcontractor also laid the bathroom floor tile very prematurely in order to let the owner of the company proceed with his work of drywall prep and furniture placement. I explained my concern of bringing expensive furniture in so early when the shower and walls were not even close to being completed. Needless to say I did not allow my furniture to be placed prematurely. As a result of the bathroom floor tile being laid prematurely, some of the tile was damaged and had to be replaced. During the shower tiling I noticed that the newly built shower pan had been cut during the cement board installation which would have no doubt leaked. This upset me greatly as more money was now needing to be spent to rebuild the shower pan. The subcontractor then began to display more subpar work and an overall lack of professionalism so the owner of East Coast made the decision on his own to terminate his agreement with the subcontractor. The project was stalled again. At this point I felt it necessary to take matters into my own hands and procure contractors of all trades in order to get the project moving and hopefully passed the finish line. I had a very pleasant conversation the owner of East Coast and explained to him that I was stepping in to move the project forward and I would call him as I needed his assistance. I then had to demo the entire shower once again as what little tile work that had been done was not acceptable. I called the owner of East Coast and asked him to come back and work directly with me to rebuild and plumb the wall. He agreed to return to the site and help but I began to have second thoughts and hired a carpenter to do the job. After researching and hiring contractors of all trades to come in an perform work on different parts of the bathroom, the bathroom is finally complete after four months of construction. I made an attempt to try and conclude my business in a professional way with the owner of East Coast, but sadly he did not respond to my request to have a very brief conversation which was very disappointing. In conclusion, I believe he is genuinely a nice guy and I know deep down he did his best but I think with all the problems from the start, it was a just too overwhelming for him. The purpose of this review is simply to let others know how my particular project went so that they can make informed decisions on who to hire. I feel confident that East Coast has done some very fine work on other projects and you should think about hiring them if you feel they are right for you. I thank you for all your effort East Coast, I sincerely wish you great success in all your future projects.
