About us

Hi! The cost to refinish a standard 5ft tub in white or off white, would be $399. This assumes that the tub is not a jetted tub has not been done before (if it has, it will need to be stripped, add $100); and that the tub is in good shape structurally (no leaks, major cracks, or drainage issues). If this is a clawfoot tub, the above would apply to the inside only. To include the tub surround or if this is a 1pc fiberglass enclosure unit, add $250. If the work is different (sinks, counters, tile work etc.) we will need details and pictures, if you can. We'll get you a quote quickly. Our tubs come with a 5 year warranty, the job can take up to 4-5 hours to do, and cures in 16 hours to use. We use an acrylic urethane called GlassTech9000 and we also do the caulking, when applicable. We've been in business almost 50 years, refinished over 200,000 tubs, and have an A+ rating with the BBB. Call or email if you need any further info. Have a great day, we appreciate your interest! Thanks! Tom

Looks beautiful. Bill showed up on time, did a thorough job, explained everything in grest detail, offered great advice for color matching etc and cleaned up afterwards like no one was there. The finish looks great.

It went fine but it's now falling apart. I'm not sure if it's their fault. The price was good. They were attentive. They called me back.

It was Bill, the guy who actually came did the work and it look gorgeous. They went the extra mile. I looked online and when I told them I had shower doors that I wanted to have taken off and put on a trash they did this extra work that nobody else would. My bathroom looks really new.

It went great! The customer service was incredible. I was away in another state at the time and they remained very communicative with me throughout the process. They sent me pictures by phone and emailed my my warranty. They provided high quality work. They even followed up with me after to ensure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend them to others and I plan to use them again.

Thought the finish was initially was very not smooth. They technician was a fabulous guy, very professional, and did the job. He wasn't talking on the cellphone all day. Initially it was very rough, and I called the technician, and he came back to fix it. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Daryl was early, but had called to see if it was OK to come over before the scheduled time. He immediately got to work. A few hours later he had completed the job (all tiles are now white) and he very carefully explained when we would be able to use the bath again - how long the curing process takes - and left detailed instructions on care/questions. He also left zero mess!
Almost 3 months later, I was cleaning the bath and found two small spots that were not fully white. Seriously, they were so small that they only way I saw them was on my hands and knees cleaning the corners. But - once found - they loomed large in my mind. I called Eastern. They set up a follow-up appointment. Daryl came back out and corrected the issue and all is well.
I had decided on Eastern based on a friend's recommendation and am heartily glad that I did so. I found them to be professional, responsible and their work to be superb.

The first thing I noticed was that the wallpaper between the top of the shower tiles and the ceiling was torn off. This wallpaper is no longer available as I bought the last of it twelve years ago. I am not going to be able to rewallpaper above the tiles unless I redo the whole bathroom. The second thing I noticed was that there were spots missed on the shower tiles which show up as a grey mark on the grouting. Would need some type of touch up paint to fix. The third thing I noticed was that the paint seems to have pooled around the inside edges of the tub leaving a ripple all around the inside perimeter. The last thing I noticed was that there is a scratchy grit on the surface of the tub that makes it uncomfortable to sit. It is not visible but you can feel it when in the tub. Not very pleasant to say the least.
Finally, the receipt of work was left and I noticed an Ontario address. I had no idea they were in Canada. I don't believe when I used them twelve years ago they were outside the country. Am sure I wouldn't have chosen that company.
Am taking the time to write this review to steer others from using them. It's a lot of money to spend to get such poor results.
"We did apologize and refund the cost of the wallpaper repair. We have done over 200,000 jobs and sooner or later something is bound the happen."

I originally spoke with Charlie the owner to get an estimate and set up a time for the tub and tile to be re-glazed. He gave me an estimate over the phone and set up an appointment over the phone for someone to come to my house on Friday, November 11, 2011. On Friday I called Charlie to see what time the refinsher would be at my house and he told me that I did not have an appointment set up. That should have been my first clue that they were not a professional organization. Charlie rescheduled my appointment for the following day but insisted that I had the day wrong. This was not the case but I let it slide.

On the day of the re-glazing the tech, Bob, called several times to tell me he was late. I was going to be there all day so I didn't mind. He was over an hour late to our scheduled appointment. I menetion this only for people who are sticklers for punctuality as it may annoy some clients.

Bob was very pleasant, prepared the area and quietly did his work for several hours. When he was finished we reviewed the work and found some trouble spots. The finish had drip marks on the tile, some areas were not covered and the finish was not smooth on some areas of the tile. Bob agreed to come back the following day and fix the problem spots.

The following day Bob came back and fixed the problem areas as he had said he would. He also gave my husband a 5 year guarantee on the re-glazing against fading, peeling, or crazing.

A little over a month after having the work completed I called Eastern to let the know that the surface was peeling on the front of the tub, an area had been missed near one of the faucets and that pin holes were forming in the surface of the tub and that the original color was showing through.

Up until this point the tub had not been used because we were not living in the house when we had it refinished. I noticed the defects in the tub when I was cleaning the tub while following Eastern's Care and Maintenance agreement. I originally called Charlie, the owner, before the Christmas holiday and he said no problem, call after the holidays and someone will take care of it. I called back on December 28, 2011 to schedule the work for after the holidays.

Charlie before hearing what was wrong with the tub immediately started yelling at me. He blamed me for the problems with the tub and said they would charge me to come out and fix it. Apparently the guarantee isn't worth the paper it is written on. He went on to tell me that I was cheap and could afford the extra charges ti fix their work and also blamed me for Bob to come out to fix his work his work the first time. He also hung up on me when I tried to schedule the repairs, not once but three times. Finally he put me through to Jennifer who scheduled Bob to come out and look at the tub.

I'm disabled and recently broke my ankle due to a fall caused by that disability. We have had a great deal of work to our house to accommodate my disability and Eastern was one of many companies we used. I originally went with Eastern because they advertise that they are a proud employer of active duty, reserve, and retired military men and women. I thought this was wonderful and showed what great owners they must be. Boy was I wrong! Charlie brought me to tears with his yelling and and accusations and didn't even have the common decency to call back and apologize for his behavior. I have never had an owner or an employee of a company speak to me the way he did. We have had a great deal of success working with other business and it's unfortunate that a person like this treats his customers the way he did and still stays in business.

From start to finish the job went terrible. As my wife came down to view the work and told the contractor that it did not look good the worker assigned to the job started to tell her that she looked very good and what he wanted to do to her. She told him to leave immediately, but he still tried to stick around until she said she was calling the Police. After this fiasco I still wanted the bathroom fixed as we had already paid them. We spoke with the company asking them to come out to review the work done and please not send the same contractor. After promising that they would send out a manager to see the work done and review it, look who showed up but the same contractor banging on the door. My wife was by herself and decided to call the office and see what was going on and they said that he was the only one there to do the job. The Owner Charlie said that his contractor did not speak english and that my wife was lying, but I spoke with this contractor as I left him the day he did the work and he spoke English fine. Then Charlie proceeded to hang up on me as I said he was wrong and that it was totally unprofessional to send out the same contractor as before when we asked for someone new to review the work. So we still have a totally messed up bathroom that needs to be redone and Charlie will not take our calls to come out and fix the terrible job they did. I would not use these people for anything at all. Also beware how the contractor tries to check out the whole house as they seem to be interested in things other than the bathroom.

"My guys would NEVER, EVER say anything like this person is alleging. He just wanted to get a free job. We are not the first person he has tried this on I am quite sure. We eventually got paid and; oddly enough told us the job looked "great". Guess he was just having a problem with his wife that day."

Victor called me and asked to come early. His english was poor and he was difficult to understand. Three people showed up in an unmarked van with no identification and did not introduce themselves. Their english was poor and there were a few blank stares in trying to communicate what was to be done. He never asked me the color to paint the tub and I made the mistake of assuming he knew. He asked me how I wanted to pay before he had done the job - I told him I would pay him when it was done. I called the main office to verify that they were who they were supposed to be before I let them proceed. I almost asked them to leave because they seemed very uncertain, unprofessional, and difficult to communicate with. When Victor called me to look at the tub after it was done, it was clear it was not Kohler White as I had asked. the finish on the bottom was also bumpy and had bubbles. I called the company again and spoke to Charlie who was incredibly unprofessional, almost screaming on the telephone, talking very quickly, and offerring few viable solutions. He first said I had not asked for kohler white (how would he know? he did not book the appointment) Then said they never make mistakes - they are professional. He rapidly said I could pay for half and they would come back to recoat it with Kohler white (which would cost another $30) but that I would have to pay them something. I had not mentioned any money I was unable to discuss with him what it meant to put a second coat on without getting sarcastic remarks like "are you a tub refinishing expert." I was just trying to get some answers about the process. He then hung up on me in the middle of the conversation before anything was resolved. I then talked to Victor who was more reasonable and said he had another white in his truck that might be closer and he was willing to respray it. This was accpetable. Charlie then called me back and said I had hung up on him. He said his manager said they could strip the tub and put it back the way it was and I wouldn't have to pay them anything. Accused me of refusing to pay him - I had never said this. Rapid fire wanted me to make a decision about what to do with the only choices being to recoat it later - after paying them of course - or strip it - and not giving me any information or answering any questions about what this meant. I said I couldn't answer without more information. He was extremely unprofessional and I could not continue the conversation and told him so before hanging up. While this conversation was going on Victor left! I think Charlie hung up on me in order to call Victor to tell him to leave and then he distracted me with a very rude conversation. I have not paid them anything - but I also have a tub finished in the wrong color and the finish actually has bubbles and bumps in the bottom of it - hopefully it will improve with drying but I am very skeptical. This company is disreputable and refused to resolve a simple problem of painting a tub the wrong color - I would have been happy with repainting it if they could have answered my questions! I have hired hundreds of contractors in my 25 years of renovating and this is one of the worst I have encountered.
