High quality windows at a reasonable price. The installer, Bobby, did a fantastic job. Our windows look and function well. Highly Recommend.

Concise Version:
They told me it would take them about 3 weeks to get my windows in and 1 day to install installed (that was July 8 but not installed until September 4) - almost 2 months later!
My home is in excellent condition but wanted to replace 5 front windows for better efficiency and my original bathroom window (round top square bottom with safety glass perfectly trimmed and finished but the seal started leaking). I interviewed 6 different window companies and tried to pick the top model double hung replacement windows with what "seemed to be" the most professional business through Angie's List. I was promised that the windows had a life time warranty as well as the labor. I also paid to have all the brick molding replaced with PVC and only Sills to be wrapped.
This company IS Not a member of the Better Business Bureau (they have a very bad review from what they did to another customer). BBB members tent to be much more likely to care about their reputation And resolving disputes Before it becomes a permanent record.
Why does this company use 3 business names?
EcoView Windows NC
Luxury Bath & Kitchens
Home Craft Windows
(the last two names are on opposite sides of the same business card)
Problems Remaining Found
1) Found 5 deep gouges in expensive new bathroom window framing itself (Not just the surrounding trim)
2) He replaced bathroom interior molding that worker damaged with a piece of PVC and exposed the artificial wood grain side instead of smooth side so doesn't match the rest of the trim.
3)Bathroom window exterior expensive exterior brick mold PVC trim does not match up with straight PVC trim at the joints.
4) Worker wrapped bathroom window sill with aluminum but bottom aluminum it is floating - not backed up with anything solid behind it) AND never re-caulked the sill to the house siding inside and house siding was chipped off in 3 places.
5) One of the front window bottom sash window pane seals is bad - water penetrates the seal
6) One front window screen has a 3 inch tear at the edge.
7) I looked into the truck when they arrived and noticed that all the windows were stacked in the truck unprotected. On all 5 front windows they replaced, I was shocked to find the entire top of all 5 sashes were scratched up
8) When the worker was reinstalling the outside shutters he caused two shutters to severely bow and some screw areas concave dips (and could break the plastic shutters) because improperly screwed back in.
9) One of the new front windows sashes was severely binding (that is the one of the big sales features/demonstrations is how smooth and easy replacement windows are to open/close)! Poor quality control - workers install windows and don't even verify their operating properly?
Resolved:
When I showed the owner the window sash that was very Difficult to open/close (was severely binding) as usual owner first just tried to act like nothing is wrong! (constant strategy - if there is a problem - don't admit it so you don't have to fix it!
Or if his workers break it - cover it up - out of site - out of responsibility) ) Then all owner wanted to do is just put WD40 on it and get down the road and make the bedroom smell like petroleum.
I am the one to discover window balancer assembly was not set properly and was binding in the side jam and recommended trying to switch the bottom sash with the adjoining window bottom sash. That fixed the problem, the window was no longer binding and now opening properly. (Imagine it's the stupid incompetent homeowner that finds and fixes the problem instead of covering the problem up).
I showed the owner the problem some of the problems I discover at that point with the bad bathroom window trim joints and bowed shutters and he called back and said no problem the boss worker would come out and fix the issues then next day Saturday 10am. But when the boss worker shows up, he doesn't come in the work vehicle, he comes in his compact car, no latter, no tools just a caulk gun. I asked him why he didn't come prepared to fix the problems like the owner assured me?
All he did was tell me to sign the loan papers to pay the rest of the bill and I told him Only after the problems are fixed and he starts running his mouth how he will put a lean on my home and fixed nothing.
Of course I immediately called the office to complain but was closed so I called the owner's mobile number but he didn't pick up. So I left a message that the boss worker came to my home unprepared and fixed nothing and threatened to put a lean on my home. He also dared to tell me its the responsibility of the homeowner to get on a ladder and remove and put back their shutters! Can You Imagine?
Some hours later my phone rang and the salesman that sold the windows called me up and refused to let me talk and just to harass and threaten me and told me this was the last conversation (was the only call since the sale) then he was going to get a put a lean on my home and sue me. I told him don't call me unwilling to discuss anything just threaten and harass me. I told him I already talked to the owner - who was he and he threw in my face he (the salesman) IS A PARTNER and he started cursing so I hung up on him.
What happened to his friendly smiley sales pitch that "the windows and labor are guaranteed for life. Don't worry, you are in good hands and the windows we are selling are one of the very few so high quality that we have the Good Housekeeping Seal! (I was shocked to later discover so does one of the cheapest windows made (Window World). Professional? Great Customer Service? Lifetime Warranty? Would rather sue the homeowner then get some simple issues resolved and have good customer satisfaction and good reviews?

Resolution Request
1) Front Two Liv Rm Windows- Replace 2 bottom sashes and 1 screen
2) Front Middle Bdrm-Replace bottom sash
3) End Frnt Bdrm- Lft Window -Replace bottom sash
Rt Wdw- Replace entire replacement wdw
That would resolve scratched bottom sash and fractured or deep cut wdw frame (item 12)
4) Bathrm Picture Wdw- Replace bathrm wdw with a new construction wdw to include rot proof brick molding/sill (tempered glass) Resolves
items 1-5
5) Reinstall bowed shutters and adjust screws on dips in shutters
6) Bad Caulking and opening PVC Joints
Make Sure PVC brick molding was cut proper lengths and adequately fastened to restrict movement.
Try to remove as much inferior caulking and re-caulk with high quality caulking (30 year or life
time warranty caulking) and use a putty knife to put caulking in nail holes not around nail holes. Once poor quality caulking is applied everywhere & excessively it is difficult to correct without replacing the PVC or cutting caulking off adjoining parts without damaging them.
7) Whoever is carrying out these repairs has the competency & takes the time to perform them properly & inspect windows to make sure new condition no damage.
8) Cleanup Make sure there is no glass or sharp objects
The salesman was personable, and easy to work with. However, after the work began, we contacted him, and he did not return the call. He called the President of the company to deal with our concerns. The work actually took three days. One the first day, the technicians came promply and worked dilligently. They ran into some problems, but corrected those, and continued. One of the handrails did not arrive (it was not ordered), but they promised it would come the next day. The second day, they arrived promply, however, the weather took a turn, and we offered to let them leave around lunch to avoid the accumulating snow. They did bring the handrail, that was not ordered (however, it turned out to be chrome, not brushed nickel). They left, promising they would return by 8:00 the next (Sat) morning. When they had not arrived by 9:30, we called the salesman to inquire about the technicians, concerned that they had had bad luck in the weather situation of the preceding day. We left a voice mail, and we did not hear back from him. This is when he chose not to call us back, but instead called the President. The technicians arrived, concerned that we were upset, and we assured them that we were simply concerned about their safety. They completed the job that afternoon.
We were asked to fill out a survey, and submit and add questions/comments to the company. We did complete the survey, conveying questions that we had. Some areas needed to be caulked (that were missed), and we wanted to know where we could get the caulk to match what Luxury Bath used. We never received a response.
When all said and done, we love the walk-in shower and were very impressed with the installers. Not so much so with the company. We have yet to hear anything further from them, since the walk-in shower was installed.
Luxury Bath completed my bathroom remodel. I am very pleased with the quality of the remodel. Their team (Mike and John) were on time every day. They were polite and courteous. They were careful of my home and it's contents. They cleaned up every day. The job was completed on schedule. The owner of the company was in my home twice checking on the progress. I am very pleased. I would recommend them without hesitation. Bill Clark

I had a very good experience purchasing my windows. My Ecoview windows were purchased when the original windows purchased for the front of my home exceeded my budget for replacing the remaining 11. I needed to find a suitable replacement window that I could get for a good price while still providing the same quality I wanted in a replacement window. After doing some research, I found EcoView (which I had previously never heard of). They came in a variety of sizes, are double hung, double paned with argon gas, solar reflect glass and high quality vinyl. I meet with Michael who I believe is the owner of this small business. They sell other things (remodeling, but I didn't have any of that work done).
He was very helpful with window selection (no pressure tactics) and got my windows ordered and scheduled for installation very quickly. I'm use to working with small businesses so if you need everything done "right this minute", it may or may not be for you. I like supporting small businesses and found them to be both very professional and thorough in the install. I like my EcoView windows far better than the more expensive windows which I believe were installed better. I would recommend taking a look at these windows (they won't disappoint).

The installation went pretty smoothly. My parents loved it. However very early after the installment the
issues started. We were told that after the jets were turned off that you had to wait several minutes before you
could turn them back on. This however did not make much of a difference and it was and still is a guess as to
whether the jets will come on at all.
There has also been an issue with the seal of the door and the faucet leaking.
They were pretty responsive initially. The people that came out were professional.
With one of the issues with the tub's jets, we were referred to a repair
specialist on the phone. The person tried to talk my husband through a
repair. When my husband advised him he was handicapped and could not
open the panel and look underneath at the circuitry.. they then very
reluctantly sent out a repair person who came a few days later.
The jet issues have never been resolved. Now when we have called to have them come
out, they have made an appointment but just did not show up.
My husband uses it as a shower only as he can sit down. However we are now getting estimates on having the tub
removed and one like the original reinstalled. It was a very costly lesson. My mom has since passed away and my dad requires
24 hour care so is in a nursing home. My husband will go back to using the shower in the master bathroom with a seat as that
is all he was getting with the expensive tub anyway.
I am giving the company an overall C only because of their responsiveness and
professionalism in the beginning. The tub was and is a piece of junk
and I recommend that anyone who plans on getting a walk-in tub.. don't.
At least the brand that Luxury Bath sells.
"(removed member name), The last time i came out to fix the diverter knob that was the only thing that you and your husband mentioned was wrong. If there is and issue with the door or the faucet leaking all you have to do is call and we will come right out to take care of any issues. That is why we have a warranty. The faucet is high pressure and that is why the diverter pin fails sometime. Please call me if i need to come by to fix something."

It was a difficult experience because it was drawn out much longer then it needed to be. The owner was very professional and friendly. He took us to the showroom to look at the tile. The workers he had, two of them were very hardworking, professional. The people he contracted out were also hardworking and good. It was a good experience except for the time. It took longer because the workers that were suppose to come out would not come out until like 4pm. It seemed like they took on to many jobs instead of concentrating on one job at a time.

We started out with the windows and siding, then progressed to replacing the shower in the master bath. While this work was going on, a close family member passed away and Michael, Lindsey and all the folks on the work teams accommodated us in every possible way.

The owner Michael came out to see the proposed project. He told us exactly what work was involved. He sent out his worker, John who was extremely professional. He took great care in covering the floors and stairs he would be walking on. He created very little mess in his work area and was protective of areas outside of his work area. He was here two days and both days he worked constantly. When he was finished, he reviewed his work with us and it was exactly as we expected.

From estimate in early March we were informed all the time as to delivery and install. Schedules delivery and install for 8:00 AM; arrived on time and worked until complete. Did a thorough clean up. Very neat.

We were told that the project would take around 2 weeks. Luxury Bath did indeed finish their part in about two weeks, but what they FAILED to tell us was that when the glass people showed up to install the shower glass, they were only going to measure for the glass, not install it. They did not stock tempered glass, it had to be special ordered and it would take 7 to 10 business days to receive it, then they would schedule to install it. What we were lead to believe to be a two week job took over a month to complete. Then we turned on the water to the shower for the first time and to our disbelief, the water pooled into one corner of the shower pan and would not drain out. Luxury Bath came out a couple of times and tried to drive some wedges under the shower pan to raise the corner enough so the water would drain properly but were unsuccessful. Of course, their story was that this had never happened to them before and they were sorry but that was the best that they could do. After that we tried several times to get in contact with Michael Schweitzer. At first he was very receptive and told me that he and John (the guy that actually did the work) were looking into the problem, but now he will not return my phone calls after John came out to look at the shower and said to me that nothing could be done short of ripping the Piedrafina out and starting over because there was no gap between the Piedrafina and the shower pan. So this is where we stand for now, but it is not over...

The original price they quoted me was $6,900 and the total came out to be $11,634. This same company I have used in the past but this time they had different workers come out to work my bathroom and the result was not near as professional.

My mom and dad have both used the tub and absolutely love it. Everyone was extremely friendly and very efficient. They cleaned up every little bit of mess they made in doing the project and ensured all questions were answered before they left. I will surely use them again whenever I have anything that needs a change in the bathroom or kitchen again. They were GREAT!
