Edmar Corporation

I just hired Edmar to replace a glass block window in our brick house with a more modern double hung window, and they did a great job! I've also hired them in the past to rebuild our parapet and replace other old windows and the work is always great. They're easy to coordinate schedules with and the quality of work is top notch. I'll definitely be hiring them again for any future masonry projects.

We hired Edmar to rebuild our parapet on our brick multi-family house during the summer of 2020, and they did an outstanding job! The brickwork looks exceptional and I can tell they really pay attention to detail. Their proposal for the project was the most professional and detailed one we received, and if I had any questions they were very quick to respond. If we have any masonry needs in the future, we will definitely be giving Edmar a call. We also hired them to install new windows, and they did a great job with those as well - they installed them quickly and professionally.

We had Edmar complete 3 separate projects at our home. In any home project we have had done over the years, their work by far is the best quality we have experienced. Perfection. Plus great to work with.

The company removed the cracking top and built a new one.

It was a small job.  The end result was good.  the price was good, but they were very messy. <br /> <br />

Nice enough person...called to set up initial appointment, it was cancelled due to a lightning storm (fair enough). I called to re-schedule, was told he had a job down the street and would let me know when he was going to be there so he could consolidate jobs (it made sense), but he never called me back. I finally called him again scheduled the job and the work was done. They were on time, finished the job (so I thought) the same day. I was not home when the job was completed, did not think to ask them about cleaning the fireplace... <br /> In the early fall, I decided to have a firein the fire place to warm up the house, the damper was jammed up with debris from the construction job and now it won't close (I have not used the fireplace since that last time). I called to have him look at it, he compalined that he had already lost money on the deal and would have to send someone out in a few weeks. <br /> 8 weeks later no contact, so I'll call someone else tomorrow and pay them to fix the job as my house has a rather obnoxious draft from the debris jammed damper. <br />

GREAT!!!! amazing job.  Arrived on time, EXCELLENT!!! and careful work ..front looks amazing....finished in one day and SPOTLESS clean up...just an amazing company...polite, fast, beautiful, perfect job.!!!!!!!!!!!! <br />

He is also a friendly guy, very flexible with time.  He came over on a moments notice a few times, to check the work and discuss.  Overall, very happy with the work done, and would use him again.

I called and spoke to the Owner Ed who happened to be located within a few miles from our home and he quickly came by the following day to look at our chimney. Upon meeting with him I got the great vibe and his professionalism was something that is a rare find, especially when you call a number of folks looking for service and never get a call back to even take a look. He looked at the chimney (which was missing bricks and the liner was cracked) to explain that a rebuild of the chimney above the roofline was needed. He counted the number of bricks that would be needed along with a new cap and replacement clay tiles and gave a us a great price. Since his price was lower than others I had to review what others were saying and surely it was the same professionalism that I saw that others were going on and on about. We decided that Edmar Corp would be the ones to handle our repair needs. <br /> We were able to get scheduled date quick and they were flexible with us by working on a Saturday. The team of 4 arrived early morning and got setup very quickly. Their attention to the surrounding safety of our (and our neighbor) house was amazing. They setup boards in front of all the windows to prevent any debris from the teardown from causing any damage and dropped tarps in all the areas to prevent any dust and debris from getting around. Our old chimney came down very quickly (not a good sign) and they got started with laying down new brick and the clay tile liner. During the entire process I had mentioned there were areas of tuckpointing around the house that had cracked and fallen loose and they quickly jumped filling in the missing mortar and cleaning up (outside of the orignal work). The guys that came by were extremely skilled and answered any questions I had during the process. Trust me when I say that these are some of the greatest masons I have seen and their attention to details show. One of the men offered to install the chimeny cap I purchased during their cleanup and the end result was amazing. A sort time after the owner stopped by to verify the work and called to ensure that we were satisfied with the services performed. Let me say that I joined Angie's List to provide this review and amazing experience from Edmar Corporation. I would highly recommend them for your masonry needs; great pricing, amazing skills and down to earth yet professional team of individuals who don't overlook detail. <br />

Ed, the owner and a very pleasant man, came out and estimated the work.  The price was reasonable.  A week later the crew arrived about noon, worked very hard, and finish the chimney repair by six o'clock, including cleanup.  When I returned from a vacation, they came back, removed the old basement window, installed the glass block unit, and cleaned up in about 90 minutes.  The workers were friendly, efficient, and considerate of the inside and outside of the house.  Ed came by himself to collect and make sure I was satisfied. <br />

It was a pleasure to work with this company. They came quickly each time and were polite and professional. Overall this was a ten.    This is a condo building and many times is difficult to deal with, but Edward Marciszewski made it easy and a pleasure.

They are very good at what they are doing. It is a family owned company. They are very professional and honest. You don’t have to worry about him taking advantage of you at all. He crew is very experience in what they do as well. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Back in 2004 - Ed Mar Tuck pointed our entire brick home's exterior. Mortar was in bad shape. Got his number from a friend who went on and on about how happy he was with Ed Mar Progressive. Glad to see he's still in business. He didn't actually drill out old mortar and replace, instead, 6 of his guys chipped out any loose mortar and re-covered all mortar lines - every inch of the entire house. He said drilling out mortar lasts about 20 years or more, the process he performed said would last about 15 years or more. 6K from Ed Mar vs 20K from other companies for drilling - was an easy decision. It's 2010 - tuck pointing holding up great. He transformed our home. This is all the extra stuff he did too.... Let us pick the color of the mortor (gave options), rebuilt two chimneys, removed all the vines from the house (couldn't even see any brick anywhere cause of vines), power washed our brick basement walls and re-pointed where it was really bad. His workers were eastern-european - and AMAZING masons. They showed up every single day, morning to night until the project was completed (I think about 6 days total). Unheard of right? Was a great expereince....hopefully he does business like this all the time. For me, he was a god-send. Super clean too....and didn't slop mortar all over the brick, very clean lines. Nice man too, very nice. Very affordable, hopefully still the case. And no.... I don't work for him, ha! Heard he was a doctor in the old country (Eastern European)..that's how he operates....no pun intended.
