Excellent! Ed and his team are professional, friendly, trustworthy and their work is outstanding. It felt like I had family in my house doing the painting! We've moved often and with each house we had large painting jobs in order to sell or when we purchased, and Ed is by far the BEST painter we have ever dealt with!!

I'm just now getting around to writing this Angie's list review in 2015 (the work was done in 2009) but my woodwork still looks wonderful!  The baseboards, doors, crown molding, etc. just gleam.  I'm SO happy with Ed M's work.  When I remodeled this old house in Windsor Park I had general laborers do a lot of the work (installing hardwood floors, painting interior walls, etc.) but I elected to hire a professional to paint the trimwork because I wanted it to really shine and stand out.  Wow, I was not disappointed!  Ed talked with me at length about the effect I was trying to achieve and he really made it happen.  He used some very bright white paint that is still shining 7 years later.  It has been very durable. <br /> The experience of working with Ed and his crew was also top-notch.  His work crew was low-key and respectful.  They were at my house on and off for over two months as the renovation progressed.  I never found beer bottles or fast-food trash in my house or on the grounds, etc. <br /> Ed was easy to work with.  When I told Ed what day I thought we'd have the crown molding installed and ready to paint, his guys were there on schedule, I didn't have to wait a week until they finished some other job. <br /> I would definitely hire Ed and his folks again for high-quality, professional-looking work. <br /> One word of caution:  EDM is not a 20-year-old in dirty clothes with a 30-year-old beat-up pickup.  Ed and his crew are top-flight professionals.  So don't expect a bargain price.  However, I can say from my own experience that you can expect to be overjoyed with the result. <br />

Ed the owner arrived promptly for the estimate and was easy to talk to. This is the first time we've paid for painting, he was willing to break-down his quote to help us manage cost. Since our house is 32years old we also discussed to what extent he would do prep work. Would he scrape the texture imperfections/drip marks from our texture? Would he repair this/that? It is very important to discuss this up front to gauge basic quality expectations. <br /> I got two other estimates, One was a franchise w/ a small crew, 50% higher cost than EDM. The other was a referral from a coworker, 15% lower than EDM, All estimates were for the same sherwinn williams zero VOC paint, two coats. The franchise followed-up several times after their quote, but failed to convince me that 50% higher cost got me a better product. The coworker proposal was very informal, no Yelp/Angie's list references - not insured. <br /> We went with Ed because of references, and because his cost seemed to make sense based on how long it would take us to do the job ourselves. He also had the most tangible sense of pride out of the 3 estimates. <br /> We scheduled the work and they worked *exactly* the hours they said they would. They were organized in managing the colors. They protected all the floors they should have, and vacuumed every day. Nearly everyone spoke English very well. We felt very comfortable w/ them in our house. At the onset of the job we marked any and quot;nuggets/boogersand quot; or drip-marks on the walls that needed to be scraped off, or popped nails. Anything they missed they addressed very quickly. <br /> The quality of the job is top-notch. They had to re-do some areas where previous patches were made by my contractor and did so perfectly (smooth ceilings). Very clean job caulking, straight lines, etc. <br /> The cabinets were sprayed. All in all a great job. I would hire again on medium/large jobs. <br /> <br /> <br />

The texture and paint job are very good. However, they screwed up big time on the wood trim. Our door is pine with orange brown stain. The door and window frames are oak with golden oak stain. We want to change the frame's color to match the door's. The right way to do it is to sand the frames to bare wood and re-stain it. Since the sanding part is very time consuming and expensive, they recommend spraying a color-matched varnish on top of the existing finish instead. The result is horrible. The sheen is highly glossy. They had to come back two times to add satin polyurethene to tone down that shine. But the coating has become very thick and they did not keep the surface dust-free, so a lot of lint and dust are embeded on the surface. <br /> They also quoted me on a separate gutter project. When I want to get it started, they did not even call back to decline it after screwing up the wood trim project. <br />

They were excellent. They were very personable and approachable. They were very thorough in explaining the process and what materials they were using and how everything worked together. They gave me a better idea of what to expect. The owner was really exceptional and I was really impressed with his work. The only thing that their estimate was a little bit higher than I would have preferred. However, I knew that I would receive quality work from them. They also offered a variety of services, so it was a lot easier to get things done all in one. He stayed afterhours at a weekend at night and sat on the phone with me to make sure that I was able to receive the most quality for the least amount of money in the tile that I've selected. He also picked the tiles up in the morning and had it in before I could even get over there. He has definitely gone above and beyond and I am really impressed with them.

I am very happy with him. When he said he was going to be there he was there. He cleaned up the best I have seen anybody clean up. I was just happy with all of his work. His pricing is so much cheaper than other people's. He does a lot of research on the material that he uses. He gets the best possible quality of his material for the best price possible. He does a lot of pre work. He does a lot of research before he even purchases his stuff. He brought that information to me for approval. He just likes his job. I have some projects I intend to use him for.

They are highly reputable company and I will continue to do business with them. I have referred them to others. They are very professional, competitive and you get what you pay for. Nobody can beat that. I don’t have any complaints about them and I don’t know any possible way in which they could improve their work.
