The entire work took around 3 weeks working on and off. Dennis Baker was a real pleasure to work with, and was really conscientious to ensure that the work was planned and done to my satisfaction. Dennis has a wide range of skills and I'll definitely be contacting him again as needed for future work.

Mr. Baker describes his business as one that that “includes seamless communication, budgeting, staffing, on-site organization, and solid, quality craftsmanship every time). I for one did not have this experience with this contractor. I hired him to landscape my front yard with granite. Deposit was given on 7/24 and 2 weeks later he started the job. He certainly did not communicate as to the days he would be at my house. I sent him an email advising him that I wanted to discuss some changes as I was not pleased with the way he put some of the tiles at the end of my yard, Evidently he had not read the email and was angry and started moving the tiles. On 8/18/20 I made contact with him to find out when the work would be completed and also to request refund for liner he billed for and did not purchase. I also requested $50 for cleanup as he didn’t clean up every time before he left. I had to constantly pick up cigarette butts and cleaned up the granite that got on the sidewalk and curb. I asked him to move a tile to make the others even but he refused stating they were broken. At this point he started yelling at me and told me he was done. He was paid but he didn’t pack the granite as agreed to and didn’t put edging where I had specified. I would not recommend this contractor.

"This is not an accurate description of the events that transpired! First of all , my directive and or marching orders were to transform a portion of her front yard, and that she was not picky just do whatever I though would look good. She offered no design ideas or input what so ever, just said whatever you decide is fine! After the deposit was received the job was scheduled for 10 days later and was started on time! We began work on scheduled date and was wrapping up 3 days later when The customer was so happy at the time she wanted to expand the project to cover a large portion of the front yard. I told her I would be able to do it but it would have to be scheduled because we had other commitments so it maybe take a week or so before I could finish up on job, and then only charged $100 bucks labor for additional work. Then she called two days later she called harassing me about finishing work up because she had already paid me. I reminded her of schedule we agreed on and that she had post dated checks which hadn’t been deposited! She then wanted stones moved from here to there and so on. it happened three times and I did get frustrated. It took three days moving stones and I keep my cool. I did raise my voice when she called me a racist and when she found out no my wife and two kids are Hispanic or half , then I became a person who just hated older people . I refunded any monies for work not performed and told her to have a nice rest of her life, I’m out. I can provide text messages and photo proof! The first contractor left the job site unfinished and now I know why!"

The job was completed and the problem solved. Repair should last a long time. We are very pleased with the work Dennis did. He did more than he bid to do the job right.

They did a very good job. They were considerate. They were timely. Everything went very well. They did an excellent job all the way around. They were easy to work with. The price was fair and good. They were nice people.
