"Unfortunately once in awhile everyone gets that one customer that is a con-artist. Installed over a 100 ft of 1 1/4in gas line for a pool generator. The generator was not set yet so I stopped the gas line a couple feet from where it was to be installed. When I finished I was paid for the job $1800, and I had over $1000 in materials. I let the customers know to get ahold of me a week before they were ready so I could get them on the schedule. He contacted me and wanted the job done immediately. I informed him I could get out there on a Tuesday which was five business days from when he called me. He and his wife were both rude demanding we be there that day or the next. The next day I received a text with a receipt that showed he had hired another company to finish the gas line and he was charged $300, he was so impatient he couldn't wait and he chose to have another company come out and finish the job which was only a couple feet of 3/4 in black pipe. the $300 is almost half of what i charged him for labor for installing over 100 feet of 1 1/4in black pipe which is a rip off. He wanted me to reimburse the $300 to him. These customers contacted us last summer asking for a estimate at another house we gave them one, they had issues with buying the house and asked us to come back a few months later for another estimate we showed up but they never did nor did they call and cancel. They do not understand business time and think they are entitled to have their work done the min they call."
