El Cajon Roofing did a great job. They showed up on time, finished when they said they would and left the place clean and orderly. They're our go-to roofing company. It's a relief to know that we can call them whenever we need roof work on any of our other properties

Years ago I had a tile roof installed and the installers did a horrible job. We had multiple leaks and the roofing company that did the install simply disappeared. We called several companies for repairs. El Cajon Roofing was the only company able to repair our roof and find all the leaks. I am now a loyal customer. They are prompt and professional. A week ago they replaced a fascia board and some wood that had been damaged by birds nesting in the eaves.

The original work was done promptly, however not well enough to stop leaks. Fixing the leaks was scheduled and postponed a few times and subsequently completed. Whether or not the leaks were finally fixed will not be known until it rains again, however the roofer was highly confident that it was fixed

I have a low slope roof in El Cajon that was originally replaced by Raneri and Long in 2000. They used the hot mop method and did a great job but about 5 years after installation leaks started to develop at the corners and under the flashing in front of the house. I believe this is typical of hot mop because the constant shrinking and expanding of the flashing metal in heat and cold will eventually break the seal between the metal and the roofing material. After a rain or heavy dew water will collect over the flashing and eventually work down onto the fascia causing dry rot. This kind of roof needs constant maintenance. I called EC Roofing to do the repairs and they resealed the front flashing using torch down and they replaced several sections of damaged fascia in the front of the house. You can hardly see the joint where new fascia was spliced into old fascia. They did a great job and stopped the leaks. Frank was on the job at that time-he was a very down-to-earth, no nonsense guy and I liked him very much. A few years later I noticed the fascia at the back of the house was bad so once again I called EC Roofing. They replaced that fascia and resealed the flashing. They were always prompt , did fine work and were reasonably priced. Now there is once again some leaks under the flashing but the roof is 18 years old and needs to be replaced. This roof has a pitch of about 8 inches in 12 feet and I don't think this style roof would pass code anymore since I never see it being used in new construction but in 1958 it was all the rage. Installing a roof on low pitch construction that is economical, lasts twenty years or more and never leaks looks like a piece of cake but is actually a high tech job. I think I'll try PVC this time - that seems to have a good reputation.

We must have had the "A" team, for about 6 members with different skills showed up and had our tile roof off and then replaced in 4 days.

They were convenial and completed the work in one day. It hasn't rained since the work was done, so I don't know if the issue has been completely resolved.

I think the work went very well. Our roofs were over 20 years old and was leaking whenever we had a rain event in Coronado, CA. Your team, under the direction of Jason Wendell, removed the old house and garage roofs and installed new ones in three working days. I want to complement Jason for his thoroughness and attention to detail. After our roof was removed, Jason checked the weather forecast and found that rain was possible in the next 24 hours. Although his team had left for the day, he returned with another worker at night to cover the house and garage with a roll of plastic that would keep any possibility of rain out of our house and garage. As luck would have it, we did not experience any rain. Additionally, Jason's team were polite, hard working and professional. We are very confident in the quality of our new roofs.

I would like to give them a good review. When they re-roofed a relative's house in the summer of 2011, I was out of the area with the military. There were some initial issues with the eves and other elements of the job. I heard about them from my relative and El Cajon roofing eventually addressed them. Overall, the job pretty well-done. However, part of the contract was to also re-roof a small 12 x 12 outbuilding. This part of the contract was only partially completed (over 1/3 of the outbuilding roof was not re-roofed as required in the contract) and this created a problem with water coming in and damaging the building. As I was stationed out of the area, I didn't learn of this until sometime later. When I did, I asked them to complete the job on the small outbuilding (which is clearly enumerated in the contract and would have been very easy for them to do). Instead, they demanded more money and noted that they'd already been paid. I could take them to court and win easily enough - but I decided it was not worth stressing an elderly lady. Way to take advantage of a 70 year old lady guys...and get paid without finishing the job you agreed to do in writing. Hope you are proud of that.

El Cajon Roofing did and outstanding job and had very friendly, courteous personnel from start to finish. I got two bids for the project of replacing the asphalt shingles on my 1800 sq. ft. home. El Cajon Roofing came in about $1000 less than the other bid. The estimator was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me a $320 senior discount which was nice. The job took about 4 days to complete. During the teardown a freak summer thunderstorm hit but the workers quickly covered the roof with plastic to prevent major leakage into the house.

Throughout the install the roofers were very courteous and made sure to pick up any debris around the house. I had to ask them to change the location of the air vents after they were installed and the roof tiles were put in, but they moved them with no problem without any extra cost. Also they replaced a deteriorating fascia board at my request for a reasonable charge after the roof was installed. When the job was done, the owner himself stopped by to chat with me and pick up the check.
The bottom line is that they did an awesome, quality job that looks great for $1000 cheaper than a competitor's bid. On top of that they were on time, no extra charges, communicated well, and were extremely nice from the boss down to the office staff and the roofers themselves. What more could you ask when you're spending $12K for a major investment in your home. I'm glad to know that companies are still out there who are honest and take pride in their workmanship. I highly recommend El Cajon Roofing and have referred friends and co-workers to them for roofing projects.
We have used them before. We called and they set up a meeting time to discuss cost, materials, time to be done, and removal process. Kenny was great. He and his team were very professional, efficient, and friendly. They answered all my questions. They came in on a Thursday, tore all the necessary shingles off, removed and cleaned, and replaced the old, damaged wood in one day! The team came back the next day layed the necessary materials down and topped it with the shingle type we had chosen. We were very satisfied with the work and will use them again when needed. We are very pleased customers. Thank you El Cajon Roofing!
Between November 2012 and November 2013 we had El Cajon Roofing completely repair or roof, put in new gutters, installed vinyl siding along our house, and put a sealant on our deck to help prevent it from weathering. Every new project brought along a brand new team, each as professional and courteous as the last. The best part about choosing ECR to do all our roof repair was that they were willing to work along our timeline. We were going on a long vacation and they were willing to move some things around so that most of the work would be completed while we were out of town. They definitely know what they are doing which means they will hopefully be around for awhile so we can use them for all our roofing needs. I would recommend them to any family and friends. Thanks guys!

The company sent a representative to inspect the roof and provide and estimate the same day, then dispatched a repairman the following day. The quality and attention to detail was superb. The workman was polite, well informed and efficient. I'm very impressed with the responsiveness and diligence that the company displayed. I have put them on my favorites list.
