We started communicating with the contractor in late October and received our estimate on 11/5/24. We paid our deposit on 11/20/24. After paying the deposit, communication with the contractor was infrequent and there were many missed deadlines of when he was going to start the work. We asked for a detailed timeline which was provided and the work was to start again on January 17th. On January 17th, the contractor failed to show up and at that time a conversation was had over the phone and we agreed to not move forward and that a refund for deposit would be provided. The contractor has not provided a refund and has also said there are orders that he can't return and we will be required to pay but when I asked for invoices they have not been provided. We are seeking a full refund up to our amount of $12,856 minus the cost of the dumpster and small pile of wood if the invoices can be provided. We no longer want any material and are just wanting a refund in total.
