They were not the cheapest but it was clear to us that these guys know what they are doing. From layout, to construction, to final turf and plantings they knocked it out of the park. We hired Elite Development Creations last fall to do a very difficult job on my property as the touraine was very even with different levels. Their expertise was far ranging and tackled our site with proper man power and materials. They built stone walls, graded, and specimen plantings. I had Barchella Landscaping do quite a bit of work at my home. They ran drainage pipe from all roof downspouts and three basement window wells to a new dry well. A crumbling front stoop was totally refurbished. The wrought iron railing was removed, taken away and cleaned down to bare metal, repainted and reinstalled. Total front landscaping was done. Removal of all existing plantings and lawn and installation of new shrubs and sod. A large pine tree was removed in the backyard and ten new arborvitae were planted along the back property line for privacy screening. And let me say that these were already mature trees that immediately added screening. The back lawn which is where the dry well was located was graded off, seeded and topped with straw. Extensive repair to a heaved sidewalk and crumbling entry apron into driveway. And Barchella did some work that wasn't really in the original contract. Amazing! Five stars is actually not enough for this top notch company. The owner, Frank Barchella, is a genuine true to his word type of guy. He promised a time line for the project and even though we had quite a bit of inclement weather he and his crew got it done on time. I highly recommend Barchella Landscaping and Masonry. I can't see how any other company could be better.

I hired Barchella to perform an extensive repair of 2 retaining walls flanking my driveway. They did a great job. The result was not only structurally sound but aesthetically wonderful. The neighbors were unanimous in praising the results. The project was delayed half way through because the municipality halted work until a permit was issued. Tensions built up between myself and the owner during the downtime, to the point where there was great mutual distrust. However, when we did receive the permit, he resumed work within 48 hours, and performed a generous refill of the gravel in my driveway at the end of the job.

Update on work done in September 2015. This is a quality company. (1) A few weeks after the stone steps was installed, I noticed some minor gaps in the stonework. (2) I spoke to the office and they quickly sent 2 masons over to finish the work. (3) While the workers were here they also inspected the rest of the work, and they put some finishing touches on minor gaps. The workers did this on their own without me asking to do it. (4) I would hire this company again. The follow up and attention to detail is worth the money.

Professional end-to-end experience. Great communication with the owner and the office, less so with guys on site. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Very satisfied.

Barchella Landscaping is a first class company. The customer service, from the first consultation, throughout the project to the very last bit of work was excellent. The crew worked every day (even in the rain) and the craftsmanship was top quality. Frank (the owner) is a man of integrity. The project exceeded our expectations. We will definitely recommend them and plan to use them again.

Very nice people; office kept me informed of schedule, work, etc. I did not have to wonder what was happening. Very efficient; I am very happy with the work so far (it is not completely finished; they will come back in a month to complete and make sure the work does not crack or buckle).
