We put half the cost down for a new fence, signed a contract and had an install date with Elite Fence. They were booked a few months out. As the time drew closer they pushed the date farther out and then quit responding when contacted. The phone number listed also went out of service. We were not refunded our deposit of $2500.

Skip never followed through with the contract. He also committed four infractions that were illegal for running a business in the state. We've been trying to get our money refunded, because legally he is obligated to, but Skip refuses to repay our down payment. The whole issue arose because Skip didn't show up to do the job on the date he had scheduled, failed to return phone calls or texts, and made multiple promises to come on other dates but again never called or showed up. The whole situation has been the worst experience we've had with a contractor. I wouldn't recommend Skip to anyone in the future as not only is he unreliable but he became very aggressive and nasty when we started asking for our refund. Don't work with Skip!!

The contract was written in on December 3rd, we paid for materials and gave a down payment of $4,096.33 with the understanding of work beginning in the second to third week in January 2018. He has given three extensions total and work has still not begun, so we asked for a refund on March 9th. He sent us an agreement stating that if we agree not to speak negatively about our experience he will refund our money. We responded stating we will not agree to those terms and asked for our full refund by March 20, 2018 or we would submit a review on Angie's List to begin the dispute resolution process. We requested to refund in cash or cashier's check.

We paid half with the estimate and half when the job was finished. Skip and his crew were professional and efficient. They worked in 30 degree weather ...arrived when they said they would (or called if they'd be later)...cleaned up their work space upon leaving. Great job. Great price.

The work was just completed and we were very pleased. Skip is very methodical and does excellent work. The work was fairly priced and the performance was excellent. He always leaves the job site clean. He keeps an eye on his crew.

Elite Fence did the job quickly and worked hard to find replacement parts that matched as closely as possible as the fence was old and out of production. It wasn't a perfect match but they were upfront about that fact from the beginning so no problems there. Price was great and the service was done quickly. The fence looks nice and this helped end nearly 8 months of trying to find a vendor to repair the fence. Would definitely hire again as they go the extra mile, even when the job isn't particularly lucrative.

They were courteous, professional and did a good quality job. As with all contractors when they have a good offer here, they get a little behind due all the work. But they communicated well and once scheduled they kept the appt.

It looks great. It's not a 'normal' fence. I found something I wanted on Pinterest, and Skip and his crew did it exactly how I wanted. It took longer than he thought it would, partially because of the weather and partially because the wire mesh was hard to find. They had to drive around Columbus, Newark, and Zanesville to find something that would work. He even bought something that he decided was too flimsy, installed one piece and decided it wasn't good enough quality. AND, he passed on the $125 price difference to us. Good guy doing good work!

Skip and his team were awesome. He even helped me think through and bettered my initial design ideas. They were very patient with my questions, worked around my schedule as needed and did top quality work. The icing on the cake was when leaving, Skip noticed one of the boards had a crack and proactively said we would replace it. I would have never noticed it to be honest, but that's the sign of a service oriented business man right there. 100% would recommend them.

We were very pleased with the outcome. We actually had to have Skip re-bid the job because he prepared a price based on a fence-line 4 feet high. However, after we accepted the contract, we discovered that our newly-adopted dog could get over the fence. We asked Skip to calculate the cost on a 5 foot fence. He had to wait while we received approval from our Home Owners Assoc. He worked through everything with us, was patient, and got to us as fast as he could. He is very thorough and we would recommend him without hesitation.

Arranging the initial consultation was pretty rough. Their main guy for this if I recall his name was Pat, and took multiple attempts trying to reach him directly and leaving messages at the office number in order to get him. Once we did get a date setup he was great to work with and polite. Install date was set and the team arrived on time and did a great job and the fence looks incredible. The only other slight hiccup was that the post toppers order got lost in the mail in their initial shipment so we had to wait a couple extra weeks before those got put on but once they were it turned out perfect.

We love the fence! Skip was awesome to work with....very professional and knows what he is doing! The fence was a housewarming gift for my son and daughter in law and we all couldn't be happier with the work! Now my granddaughter can safely enjoy their new backyard! Thank you Skip!!!!
