Ellington Air Conditioning & Heat

I am disappointed with Ellington Air maintenance after reading so many good reviews of the company. The technician checking our system, incorrectly calculated a temp differential of 4 degrees. The unit is putting out 58 degrees at the first register and the return air temp was 72 degrees, for a differential of 14 degrees. This is important because it is the difference between indicating a serious issue and a minor one. In addition, The Ellington Air technician indicated that they do not normally carry freon in their work vans and would have to come back to fill the unit. Having freon available to service a A/C unit seems like it would be a basic item to have on a service call. There was much discussion concerning getting a “Free” estimate” for a new unit, but little discussion of the issue at hand.

Great on time and great work

The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He spent hours with us thoroughly examining the home (and the ducts up in the hot attic) and then reviewed our options with us. He made sure to always discuss the cost/benefit of each decision and helped us to make an educated decision on our system. We were very happy overall and would highly recommend them to anyone. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and with Ellington I know that I am getting the very best product and service for the money.

I called Ellington Ac to see about a quote for our House in Marathon Key, I had scheduled a free quote . The Morning of the quote Mr. John Page called before hand to let me know he was on his way to the house to present a quote for a new hvac unit and ductwork, For starters he was On time and that is a good sign. He knew all the answers to any questions we had about the Trane Hvac unit. And Ductwork. He even used a thermal Camera::: How impressive:::We decided to go forward with the quote and got the middle of the road unit. The day of the installation Mr Page met the Crew at our House to introduce us to the Installing crew, they were all excellent to have in my house. Very cautious of all our belongings and also worked non stop until the job was complete. They are top notch , attention to detail was excellent ! No corners cut. Thanks again Ellington Ac your my new Go to company when I'm in need! We can't say enough good things about you John page and your installation Crew. Hats off to you all .

First, John Page (the design consultant) was there when promised. He was very knowledgeable & took the time to really explain things & their procedures to my Mother & I which made all the difference in making a decision on whom to go with on this journey... I call it a "journey" for these reasons: Out of the 3 other companies we called here in the Keys, not one of the seemed to care enough to spend the time & effort Ellington did, & when we asked about extending our warranties & maintenance etc. nobody had anything remotely close to offer compared to the Ellington "No Worries" program wheras they take care of EVERYTHING & the best part is there are ton of benifits no one else even offered w/no exclusions for 10 plus years. They also offer a 180 day money back guarantee in writing so for those reasons it was an easy choice! The installers were punctual, clean cut & very nice on top of truly demonstrating what was extremely important to us which was true craftsmanship. When making a purchase of this magnitude we know from past experience, it is not necesarily the equipment itself that is so important, it is the installation & setup that is even more important. After all work was done, a quality control audit was performed to assure us the machine was giving us all the efficiency it is supposed to & the ductwork was indeed installed per Johns drawings & sealed air tight as he promised. It passed with flying colors! My Mother & I would certainely recommend Ellington AC to anyone tired of a slick talking salesman that promises the world & then it does not go as planned... Had called 3 other service companies with no response. Saw the Ellington AC guy at the Home Depot in Marathon and he put me in touch with his office immediately. Ellington AC actually answered the phone and sent a guy out that evening! So thankful to find a professional, courteous AC guy.
