Just an awful experience all around. As others have mentioned, he had me put down a 50 percent deposit ($1200) and then kept making excuses for why he could not do the work on the day scheduled. Constantly asked for gas money, and an advance to *pay for materials* even though no materials had really been bought yet, except for two pieces of drywall and a couple of boards. I did not get my money back, nor did I ask for it. I just want to forget the whole thing ever happened. Hopefully, that money went towards helping his family, because that is how I look at it now - a cash gift to his family. I got nothing in return for it.

Hired them to cover a patio with flagstone or some other type of stone, that would keep down dirt when it rained. The work is very sloppy and incomplete . From the beginning he started giving me "We can do this or we can do that. I felt like he was trying to push his ideas on me and perhaps unload materials he had on hand. On several occasions I mentioned " No walk way and he persisted. He shows up late in the afternoon for an hour or three then vanished for days. Calls to say he will be there a but never shows up, and it seems something is always coming up to prevent him from making his appointments. He has been here 5 or 6 times over the last 24 days and never a full day of work. The second day he came to do work, he asked me for gas money-- which was disappointing... Last week when I basically told him I wanted this to end, he called and asked me to allow him to finish-- It was early in the morning and I was in a good mood so I agreed. The next day he came in the after noon and marked off an area and asked me for an additional 600 dollars for materials, after I had already given him 1200 dollars. Since then, he has given a number of excuses why he has not been on the job,and I have not seen him . Today I asked him three times to bring the materials or not show up again., he has given several excuses from " I do not have my truck" to "I will need to charge you"-- At this point, I am sure he has not purchased any of the materials.

It took Raul 4 hours to install 2 pieces of Sheetrock. The work was sloppy and on one of his mis-cuts the drywall is actually doubled up on top of itself. I ll now have to pay someone to redo his work. Oh, and then he needed gas money to get home. I do not recommend.

Never let him do anything for you. He talks a good game but does not do the work.

He might be good for other projects, but not for concrete patios or walkways. He dug out a place for a patio and after paying him 50% he quit coming to work. Parked his trailer in my driveway for a week.
